Chapter 51 : Let's Ask Her First
Chapter 51: Let's Ask Her First
Angelo
I sat down at one of the couches of the arena, watching the cage fight. Luciano was calm in the cage, he liked accessing his opponents, he liked hitting them where it hurt. He studied them like a book and then ripped their pages apart, it was so fun to watch. I felt a soft body slide up next to me and I looked at the woman.
Ellie Brown, the submissive I let go the day Sophie said yes to being friends. She smiled at me.
“Hello, sir.” She purred but didn't touch me. She knew better than to do that, she was a blonde girl with hazel eyes and a little taller than Sophie.
“What are you doing here?” I didn't feel like dealing with her. Sophie was to get off work in about an hour.
“I was hoping to see you.” She replied.
“Why?” I looked at her, she lowered her eyes. I had liked that obedience when I had chosen her but I would rather have Sophie narrow her eyes at me and then blush when I threaten her with punishment. That was always fun.
“I..I wanted to please you, sir.” I sighed.
“I told you it is over.” I watched as Luciano knocked the man off his feet. He was wearing his contact lenses, it seemed. He didn't like people breaking his glasses, I learned that the hard way. The man started standing up but Luciano jammed his foot on his ribs.
“Do you have a submissive?” She asked.
“Yes,” she sighed.
“Can I see her?”
“No,” I replied and I felt her hand on my bicep.
“Is she better than me?” She asked softly.
“I am the best submissive in the club.”
Sophie wasn't obedient, but I had not earned her obedience either and I didn't mind her not following the rules sometimes if that meant I could make her cry on my lap.
“She is the best.” I replied, standing up as Luciano walked out of the cage. His opponent was in the cage probably not breathing.
“I will be in the car.” I told him and he nodded, looking a little pale but his eyes were sharp. The fucker needed to stop ripping his stitches.
“Don't follow me,” I said to Ellie, walking out of the arena before she could be stupid and she nodded her head.
“Yes, sir.” Her voice sounded like she was going to cry. I sat inside my car and pulled my phone out to text Sophie.
‘Get me some of your favorite cupcakes.’
‘Okay,’ she texted back and I smiled.
It was fucked up how much effect she had on me. After taking his sweet time, Luciano finally sat inside the car with his every hair in place. I turned on the engine, driving out of the parking lot.
“Have you thought about it?” He asked.
“We are not sending her away.” I replied.
“We can not protect her if she is over the fucking sea.”
“Adriano does have a point, Angelo.” He said.
“Sending her away is not something the Ridoam Taghi would expect, especially after how we have been ripping their heads off after the fire. The mansion is safe but there is nothing in the world a person can't figure out if they think.”
“Where do you want to send her, the Santoros? She is scared shitless of them and it is predictable as fuck.”
“The Santoros,” he said.
“They will keep her safe, I have to admit, I am not sure about sending her anyway because we don't have much experience with Raphael.”
I sighed, stopping in front of the cafe.
“Lets shift her to the penthouse for a while, no chances of them blowing that up anytime soon. We can have security on every floor and the building surrounding it. We can send her over the seas without anyone knowing but can't protect her if she gets attacked there and the security fails.”
“Let's ask her first.” He suggested.
“Like she would say yes to going to the fucking Santoros or anywhere else. She loves this city.”
“Let's let her know the depth of the situation and then make a decision. We are always going to be on the bridge for this, she needs to make the final decision and whatever it is, we will comply.”
That sounds alright.
_____________
Sophie POV.
I was sitting in the back seat of the car, eating one of the cupcakes I had brought for Angelo. It had taken like half an hour to convince him to not pay, Luciano had just watched with amused eyes. I was not mad at him, maybe he had something really important in the drawer and didn't want me to touch it. I could not be mad at him for not wanting his privacy invaded. My phone buzzed and it was a text message from Adriano.
‘What do you want to eat tonight, pizza?’ It was a reflex.
‘Alright.’ I texted back.
“My feet hurt.” I mumbled under my breath, taking my boots off. It took time to drive to the mansion, the way was so complicated and I could barely keep track.
“Princess?” Angelo called.
“You know you don't have to work, right?”
“We can take care of you.” Luciano added, glancing at me through the mirror.
“You can focus on your classes and art.” He continued. I shook my head.
“It is fun working there.” I said.
“And Susan is really nice.”
“Is she?” Luciano added.
“I set your books in your room, in a nice bookshelf.”
They had bought me all of the books l had before the fire, although I had not been through all of them but I was planning to soon.
“Thank you for the books.” I said, sincerely.
“You didn't have to.”
“Of course we did, baby.” Luciano said, keeping his one hand on the steering wheel and his other hand reaching back to grab mine and squeezing it gentle. I smiled.
We reached home soon and I picked my bag and another bag in which there were cupcakes and the cake I had made earlier with Susan being a very bad teacher. She really didn't know how to teach. Angelo helped me out of the car and wrapped an arm around me, taking the bags from me.
Can we talk, baby?” Luciano asked, wrapping an arm around me. I nodded, Angelo walked into the mansion and Luciano led me to the garden, his arm wrapped around me protectively.
“I am sorry for last night, baby.” He said after a few moments of us just walking in the garden.
It had flowers and everything and in the middle was the maze. The maze was cool but it was weird to have it here. Around it was life and there it was, like a gateway to the underworld. I shivered, looking at its entrance.
“It is okay.” I said, looking up at him.
He wasn't wearing his glasses right now and I could see his eyes better this way. Did they like my eyes without glasses?
