Chapter 30 : Kneel In Front Of Us
Chapter 30: Kneel In Front Of Us
Sophie
“I can't,” I said.
“Yes, you can, it is easy. Just listen to the injured.” Luciano said and I narrowed my eyes at him. He smiled down at me.
“Come on, Sophie.” I folded my arms against my chest.
“Can you even walk?” I asked and he looked amused, he got off the stool and walked towards where I was standing in the kitchen. He wasn't limbing, he walked as gracefully as he always did.
“A minor sprain can't keep me from spoiling you.”
“Are you convinced?” Adriano asked as he entered the kitchen wearing a leather jacket with a t-shirt and denim. I caught the sight of his dog tag around his neck. Holy fuck.
Angelo entered the kitchen as well, wearing a shirt and jacket, his legs covered in denim. His hair was up in a half ponytail and his sunglasses were on his nose. He took off his glasses and raised his eyes at me.
“Did you say yes, yet?” He asked.
“I..you got ready thinking I would say yes?” I asked.
“Don't tell me you said no to the injury.” Adriano nodded his head towards his brother who was sitting on the counter.
“That is just cruel, darling.”
“I am not…”
“So you are saying yes?” Angelo said.
“That is not wh..”
“So, you are saying no to me?” Luciano looked offended.
“Don't I get some injured privileges? I thought you were one of the good ones.” He added.
I knew what they were doing. I sighed.
“Okay, but I have nothing to wear at the mall.” I finally agreed to them taking me shopping.
“No, problem.” Adriano smirked.
I was wearing a black t-shirt which I know must belong to one the three brothers and a boot that Adriano had gotten from somewhere. I was also wearing a leather jacket over it that belonged to Luciano. My hair was parted in the middle and my glasses were on my nose. I had grabbed my glasses as soon as I had woken up with my apartment door on fire. I was wearing the whole while watching my things get burnt and I was grateful that I had because I would be squirming at everything right now. I got into the limousine and Angelo pulled me on his lap as soon as he came inside. He wrapped his arms tightly around me, my hand was in his as he looked at the small scratches on it. He placed a soft kiss on them and my heart melted.
“You will never get hurt again, I promise.” He said firmly.
I nodded and he smiled, kissing the corner of my mouth. My breath got knocked out of me, his face still clos to mine as he looked into my eyes.
“Princess…” his eyes flickered down to my lips.
The door opened, Adriano and Luciano entered the car. The car was turned on and we drove off, Angelo wrapped his arms tightly around and I placed my head on his chest. When did sitting on their lap become normal between us?
“Are you okay?” Angelo said. I closed my eyes and it was almost like I could see the fire flicker in front of me. I could almost feel the heat.
“It is not getting out of my head.” I muttered and he nodded in understanding.
“It will get better,” he assured me and I hoped so.
I looked at the bodyguards as they kept the countless bags in the closet. The Rizzo brothers had gotten too carried away when we were in the mall and got me almost everything in store. It was much but they refused to listen to me, saying they wanted to spoil me. I walked out of the room to find them after the guards left, they had so many personal guards, the mansion was beautiful and I had not seen it all yet. It was sparkling white but it had this certain edge to it because of the thick and tall boundaries and security which made me feel like I was going into a country illegally. I walked around the dark corridor, calling out their names.
Then I saw a black door at the end of the corridor and walked towards it. It was slightly open, I could see the light coming from it and when I walked closer, I heard voices.
“I want every man out to find him.” Luciano was saying.
“Every fucking one, you have a week. Find the bastard, if you fail, you know what will happen. This is your last chance, don't fuck it up. Tim.”
“I won't,” I heard an unfamiliar voice said.
“Leave,” Adriano commanded.
I hid behind the curtain as a large man walked out of the room, my eyes widened at the cut and bruises on his face. He was wearing a suit and all his pale skin that was visible were scarred and bruised. I got out from behind the curtain and walked a little away from the door with light steps and then walked back towards it with my heavy steps. I knocked on the slightly opened door.
“Who was it?” Angelo asked.
“It is me, Sophie.”
“Come in, princess.” I entered, he smiled at me and I was convinced that there would not come a time when their smiles would not knock the breath out of me.
“You don't have to knock.” He said. My eyes moved around the giant room and I gasped, it was but just a room, it was a library.
Surrounding us were hundreds of books kept in bookshelves which were about three times my height. The ceiling was black with a chandelier hanging from it. In the middle, right where we were now were three dark couches arranged in a u-shape and facing a chair that one of them was sitting on right now. The book has that smell, the book smell.
“This is amazing.” I muttered.
“We need to talk to you, Sophie.” Adriano said.
“And afterwards, you can explore the library, okay?”
I wanted to know what they had to say more than exploring the library. What the heck was wrong with me? I walked towards them and sat down on the chair and between us was a glass table. Abgeoo took a sip of whatever it was that he was drinking.
“Do you want us to put off your answer to what we talked about at the office a few days ago?”
“If no..,” Adriano smirked.
“And if your answer is yes, there is something we would like to do to you, to give you a taste of how good it can be between us.”
My body heated up, all the urge to read the books melted into my desire for them.
“What..” I cleared my throat because my voice sounded hoarse.
“What do you have in mind?” I asked.
Luciano who was sitting on the middle couch was the one to respond.
“We need the answer first, baby girl. If it is a no, say it and if it is a yes..” He tilted his head, his eyes holding mine captive.
“Kneel in front of us, if it is a yes.”
