Chapter 17 THE PARTY JUST STARTING

Alpha Mykel was feeling proud of himself, and his smirk made it evident as he declared, "Enough with the compliments; it's time to get down to business." Kitara smiled back at him, impressed by how good he was at his emotion-revealing game. Kitara smiled at him. "How will it feel so good to hear him at his game?" she thought to herself.

Without any hesitation, Kitara led the way to the training center, surprising Alpha Mykel, who had expected to go first. He looked around, checking to see if his guards had noticed Kitara's movement, but they were too busy fawning over her cooking skills to pay attention to their surroundings, as they were too caught up in the rush to have a taste of her dish and paid no attention to him. If a terror attack did break out at that moment, it would be difficult for his men to fight against the terror attack; normally he would have scolded them for their non-challant attitude, but he couldn't blame them.

Alpha Mykel had dined at the finest restaurants in and out of his empire, but he couldn't remember ever having a dish as tasty as the one Kitara had prepared. Even his palace cook, who was known for his culinary expertise, couldn't compete with Kitara's skills. As they made their way to the training center, Alpha Mykel couldn't help but feel lucky to have someone as talented as Kitara on his side.

Alpha Mykel couldn't wait to get started at the training center. He knew that he had to be at his best, especially since he was the leader of his kingdom. He was confident that he could handle anything that came his way, but he also knew that he needed to keep his skills sharp. As they approached the center, Alpha Mykel could feel the adrenaline rushing through his veins. He was ready for anything that came his way.

Alpha Mykel couldn't help but wonder why Kitara had chosen to work as a cleaner despite her impressive cooking skills. He assumed that it must have been because she was appointed there by the head servant, who was also a cook. Perhaps she didn't want to risk losing her position as the best cook, he thought to himself.

As he was lost in his thoughts, Kitara's voice jolted him back to reality. "Your highness, are you not coming, or are you backing out right now?" she called out from afar. Alpha Mykel shook his head, gathered himself together, and followed her to the training center.

"For a second, I thought you chickened out," Kitara teased him as he caught up with her. Alpha Mykel couldn't help but smile at her remark. He was always amazed by her ability to surprise him, whether it was with her cooking or her boldness.

Despite his royal status, Alpha Mykel found himself enjoying Kitara's company. She didn't treat him differently or awkwardly like most people did. Instead, she treated him like an ordinary man and a friend, which was something he had missed. Ever since he had taken over his father's throne, everyone around him had started treating him differently, but Kitara made him feel like a regular person.

As they approached the training center, Alpha Mykel could feel the adrenaline pumping through his veins. He was excited to test his skills and see how he compared to Kitara. He knew that she was a skilled warrior and that he had a lot to learn from her.

Alpha Mykel wasn't easily won over by anyone, and he made sure to let Kitara know that. "I'm not that easy to win over, so I can't chicken out," he said, trying to assert his confidence.

Kitara, however, was undaunted by his bravado. "We'll see about that," she said before walking ahead of him. Mykel followed suit, eager to keep up with her.

As they walked, Mykel couldn't help but wonder how Kitara, a maid, was able to afford the ingredients for her delicious free treat. "So, as a maid, how are you able to accumulate such an amount of money to buy the ingredients needed for your delicious free treat?" he asked.

Kitara knew exactly what he meant, but she decided to play it cool. "What do you mean about that?" she said, turning to face him.

"Well, I mean, your earnings will surely cover it," Mykel replied, hoping to get a straight answer from her. "But you need to have enough left over for yourself before you can start cooking that free meal."

"I'm glad you know that our pay is low," Kitara said, smiling wryly. With that, she turned her back to him, and they continued on their way.

Mykel wasn't satisfied, though. "So you're not going to give me a reply?" he said after a few minutes of silence.

"Well, since you want to know," Kitara said, sighing. "Yeah, the money isn't mine." "I stole it from my master after he died."

Mykel was taken aback by her confession. "So what else do you want to know?" Kitara said, sensing his shock.

Mykel was at a loss for words. He couldn't believe that Kitara had stolen from her own master, and he didn't know how to react. In the end, he decided to keep his thoughts to himself and let Kitara continue on with her life. After all, who was he to judge her?

Alpha Mykel couldn't contain his laughter upon hearing Kitara's confession. He was impressed by her confidence. "You mean you steal?" he asked, still chuckling.

Kitara didn't flinch. "Yeah, I do," she replied bluntly.

Mykel was intrigued. "So what have you stolen from my empire?" he asked, curious.

"Tons of things you don't want to know about," Kitara said with a smirk.

Mykel shrugged it off. "Cool, I just hope you won't be stealing from me."

"That depends on you," Kitara replied slyly. "If we meet regularly and you have eye-catching things on you, then I will steal them."

Mykel nodded in acceptance. "Fair enough," he said with a grin.

They eventually made it to the training wall and went to the archery sector. Mykel wasted no time in grabbing an arrow and a bow, then handed Kitara one with a smile. "Shall we get this party started?" he said, eager to show off his archery skills.
