Chapter 256 Chapter 255
Only for the wolf to move behind her, grabbing her legs and pressing it's hard, rugged body against hers. Dread settled low in Rayena's stomach, a whimper spilling from her lips. Xenon wasn't done with her.
If anything, they had just begun.

Xenon continued with his relentless thrusts, leaving Rayena nothing but to scream out her pleasure till she lost her voice. Her entire lower body was already coated with their release, and her ears had melted off with the erotic sounds of their lower bodies hitting, yet he kept digging for more.
Rayena gave another hoarse scream as he catapulted her to another orgasm, body trembling like a fish brought out of water. Her legs had long given way, and he was the only thing holding her up.
He came shortly after, coating her walls with his semen ans she shuddered, tears leaking from the corner of her eyes. He'd taken everything she had to give, and was still demanding more.
"Please... That's enough." She croaked, when he pulled out of her to release all over her back, body quivering.
The wolf growled, burying its snout to crook of her neck, to breathe her in. And worked himself to her sore channel.
Rayena mewled when he stroked her spasming walls with his girth, his pace much slower than it had been initially. She shuddered, body trembling as waves of pleasure began crashing over her anew, stealing her soul. The wolf gave a soft growl, licking the mark on her neck and her body convulsed with a thousand sensations exploded in her, sparks swimming in her vision.
"Oh.... " She gurgled, saliva drooling from a side of her lips.
He pounded hard and fast into her, and the room spun around Rayena, colors and lights blurring together. His breath was hot against her ears, tears spilled from her eyes unrestrained, and when he came with a bowl, she shook violently, entire body spasming as her insides milked him dry.
Her thoughts grew hazy, and spent of strength, she passed out cold beneath him.

It took a very long time for the sounds coming from the room to subside, and when they did, Morvan instantly rushed into the room, his boots echoing off the stone walls. He found the wolf lying next to Rayena, who had curled into herself, unconscious, slumbering away, completely sated. The smell of sex hung heavy in the air, mingling with the metallic tang of copper, making his chest tighten at the thought.
He winced as he caught the bruises on her hips and bleeding cuts across her skin, the sight of them making his gut twist. Thankfully, he hadn't killed her. A first of its kind. Draping the soft, woolen blanket he had brought over her body, he lifted her up, cr cradle her against his chest, and carried her out of the room, the cool night air hitting them like a slap as they emerged from the dimly lit corridor.
"The wolf is asleep..." He announced to the soldiers who were standing on guard, their faces expressionless, but their eyes flicking to Rayena's limp form before snapping back to attention. "Have it chained back up now." He ordered, walking away with Rayena, his long strides eating up the distance as he headed towards her quarters.
He took her to her room, where he met Soraya standing, already waiting, a look of anticipation on her face that faltered when she saw the state of her friend.
A look of horror crossed her face, and she rushed up to meet Morvan. "She went in there, didn't she?" Soraya asked as Morvan laid her on the cot, the soft creaking of the old wood seeming loud in the sudden silence. His expression turned grim as he stepped away, a dark look in his eyes.
"I couldn't stop her, even if I tried. I've never met anyone so stubborn, yet so determined. I see why she's the King's Mate." Soraya moved closer, inspecting the bruises she had sustained, her fingers gentle as she probed the swollen areas. Tears welled up in her eyes seeing the wounds she had sustained. Those would take some time to heal.
"I'll take care of her now. Thank you for looking out for her." She said, glancing up at Morvan, who just shrugged, his broad shoulders rolling with the motion.
"Only doing my duty." He muttered, his gaze lingering on Soraya a moment too long, taking in the way the soft candlelight danced across her features, highlighting the concern etched on her face.
Soraya had gotten occupied cleaning her friend's wounds, the gentle touch of her hands seeming to soothe Rayena, who stirred slightly, a soft murmur escaping her lips. For a bit, all Morvan did was stare, noting how much she fussed over Rayena, the way her hair kept falling forward, obscuring her face, and the way she absent-mindedly pushed it back, her eyes never leaving Rayena's face. Eventually, he shook himself out of the trance he seemed to have slipped into and walked out of the room, back to his duties.

(Three Days later)
Rayena lay in the cot, silently reading when Soraya walked into the room, carrying with her a cup filled with herbal concoctions. Rayena grimaced on seeing the cup, setting the book aside. "Here's your afternoon medication." Soraya announced, bringing the cup to her face. She cringed, wrinkling her nose at the smell that assaulted it.
"I'm still drinking this?"
"Unfortunately, yes. Until you fully recover from your night with the king, you're to keep taking this medication."
"But I feel fine!" Rayena whined, pushing the cup away when Soraya brought it closer.
"No, you don't." Soraya responded, raising a brow. "The discoloration on your skin hasn't faded, you're still walking with a limp, and you're just recovering from a fever that left you unable to eat for two whole days." She brought the cup to her lips. "Here, drink."
Rayena frowned, but let out a sigh of defeat and accepted the cup from Soraya. Pouring all of the contents into her mouth, she gulped it down, wincing as the bitter drink made its way down her throat, the aftertaste lingering on her tongue like a bad omen.
"There you go. Wasn't so bad, was it?" Soraya said as she accepted the cup from Rayena. The latter shrugged, trying to ignore the ugly taste on her tongue. "Have you seen Morvan?" She asked, leaning forward.
Soraya sat down at the edge of the cot, setting the cup aside. "Yes, I did. We spoke for a bit before I came here."
Rayena sighed, fiddling with her fingers. "He hasn't come to see me yet. Do you think he's still angry at me?"
Soraya scoffed, rolling her eyes. "Who wouldn't be? Look at the state of you. And this was after we all warned you not to do anything reckless."
