Chapter 124 Chapter 123
Evelyn.
Baring it's teeth as drool dripped from it's mouth, it started to approach me and I moved several steps backward, bordering at the very edge of the cliff as I crouched to the ground, filled with fear. We were between life and death now. He could push me off the cliff and instebflykill me or be could recognize me and save us all. Regardless of what happens, right now was the defining moment for all of us. Summoning all the courage I could muster, I started to mind-link to him, speaking through it.
"Hey Kieran, it's me. Evelyn. Please, recognize me." I said but was met with a blockage before he lunged at me, sinking his class into one my legs and lifting me high in the air as it let out a cry of fury. I yelpwdnkn pain, my heart pounding in my chest but still managed to rein in control. He seemed more the determined to tear me apart or even throw me down the cliff.
"Please, recognize me. Kieran. It's me, Evelyn." I tried again through the mind-link but it didn't work reach nit as well. Dangling off the cliff with my life force dripping out of me, I tried again, wholly desperate to get this man to recognize me. "I'm sorry for what I did, I don't reject you anymore. Please just... Please just recognize me!"
Snarling at me, he roared powerfully, his claws digging deeper into more flesh and more blood seeping out of me. Unable to keep up with the transformation, I shifted back to my human form and his claws sinker deeply into me. I cried now, not knowing what to do anymore.
"Please, just recognize me" I called hoarsely to him. I gave up when nothing changed, more tears slipping out of my eyes even as I grew faint. He let me go and gravity does it job, pulling me down to the depths below.
Giving him one final look, I mind-linked with him one last time, my tears floating up the air as I fell to the abyss below, closing my eyes. "I love you, Alpha king Keiran." I said through the mind-link.
Then, I gave up on everything.

Falling into the abyss below, I felt my heart shatter into a million pieces, sure that I was going to die when someone called out my name. At first, I thought it was just me hallucinating when I opened my eyes and saw Kieran following after me. Quite suddenly, he swooped down and wrenched me by the waist. I gasped at the sudden force, even as my heart exploded with joy and despair knowing we were still going to die.
Kieran's ragged breathing filled my ears as he stretched his hands out towards the rock wall to grab on to anything he could find. Luckily we found an edge and kieran immediately grabbed on to it, causing us to dangle at the cliff, the abyss just looming below us. His arm was locked so powerfully around my waist, it made breathing difficult. Unable to believe my eyes, I could only stare up at his sculpted features, my heart beating wildly in my chest.
"Put your arms around my neck." Kieran said in a strangled voice. I stared blankly at him, not understanding the words that had come out of his mouth. "Now!"
Flinching, I scrambled about, winding my shaking hands around his neck. His whole body was as tense as a rock, his neck muscles so strained I could feel his racing pulse through his bulging veins.
"Hold on tightly," he growled and I pressed my face into his neck, gripping onto him with everything in me, he let go of my waist and as nimble as a mountain cat, began to climb his way upwards. It was a slow, agonizing climb, but somehow, Kieran managed to bring us back to the edge once more, dropping me at the spot where I had fallen off. Struggling to catch my breath, I went into a coughing fit, blood sputtering from my mouth as my head grew hazy. I had completely forgotten about as strike I had gotten from Kieran when he was still crazed.
He turned around to look at me after catching his breath and I saw as his face paled when he saw my state. "By the moon goddess..." He muttered to himself as he rushed up to me, carrying me away from the cliff's edge. He seemed to distraught as he checked on the wound he had inflicted on me, his hands trembling. I, on the other hand was too happy to see him back to normal.
"Kieran..." I muttered through a coughing fit, reaching my hands to caress his face as he cupped my cheeks, his eyes with brimming with tears " I'm so happy to see you're well."
"Why did you do this to yourself! Why did you come in front of me!?" He cried, his voice filled with anguish as he tried to stop the bleeding. I just smiled, feeling myself grow fainter and fainter.
"I was worried about you. I-i tried to reach you." I said, groaning as I lost my voice. Casting one hazy glance at his face, I saw the painful expression he was wearing, as if he was terrified of loosing. I tried to soothe him but could barely get any words out as my gaze grew bleak and I lost my consciousness.
