Chapter 37 Next level
Chapter 37: Scarlett
As Asher walked out of the room, my smile grew into a chuckle. And rather than stop, I decided to take everything to the next level.
I ate my food as fast as I could and joined the maids in the kitchen.
"Excuse me, can you help me pack up some food in a fancy box for the King?" I asked and they quickly nodded.
"Of course, my lady. What do you want added?"
"Hmmm place the grilled chicken and the pie as well."
As she got to work, I moved to the counter and pulled out a sheet of paper. Then I quickly scribbled the first sweet things I could think of and handed it to the maid.
"Please include this in the box and have it delivered to his office."
Next, I hurried back to our room and I wrote down another note. I placed this on his pillow and took a step back to admire what I had done.
Asher barely had enough food to eat, so the box of food will definitely help quench his hungry and the notes will definitely keep a smile on his face.
Everything seemed perfect but there was one more thing I had to do in my quest to win him back— the most important thing he wanted. A child.
My hands subconsciously moved to my stomach and my mind got made up. I would have to see someone to make sure that whatever Luciano gave me didn't affect my ability to carry a child for Asher.
With my mind made up, I grabbed my coat and headed out to the garden, in search of Bee. We didn't have a way of communicating but somehow whenever I needed him, he had a way of coming to me.
I chose a secluded place in the garden and sat down, waiting.
The skies were extremely blue, another sign that the universe wasn't going to abandon me. Not when my intentions were pure and filled with love.
"It is a beautiful day indeed," Bee's gentle voice filled the space and I turned to him with a smile.
"One of these days you will have to tell me how you find me," I laughed.
He simply shook his head and sat beside me. "You should be in the mansion, with the king. You should not keep him out of your sight... We don't know what Luciano is up to."
"I know," I whispered with a sigh. "But, Bee, we both know that the only thing that can make my mission faster is getting pregnant. And..."
My voice trailed as my eyes shifted to my flat stomach. "I need to be sure that Luciano's medications didn't affect my womb or something—"
"That bastard isn't smart enough to come up with that sort of plan." Bee cut me off.
"I know... But— maybe I need a boost then. Something to make me pregnant faster... Anything..." I quickly added.
Bee paused and took a careful look at me. My heart stopped at this moment as I feared he would refuse to help me but after what felt like forever, he nodded.
"There is a woman. She lives just beyond the mansion. If we leave now, we should be back before it's time for dinner." He got to his feet and offered me his hand.
"Thank you," I mumbled as I took his hand and together, we went to the woman's place.
Just as Bee had said, it wasn't too far. If we had taken a vehicle, we would have been there in less than fifteen minutes but on foot, it took us more than thirty minutes.
"Wait here, let me talk to her first" Bee said as we stopped in front of her lawn.
"Sure." I mumbled, taking my time to study the place as Bee walked to the door.
It was a small cottage styled house with old paintings chirping out from the walls but the lawn was surprisingly clean and shiny— like whoever lived there spent most of their time cleaning it rather than the actual house.
The creaking sound of the door opening echoed as the woman popped out her head and glared at Bee.
I couldn't hear what they were saying but from the movements of her eyes— from Bee to me and back, I knew they were talking about me.
After what felt like a very long negotiation, she opened the door wider and Bee motioned to me to join them.
Quickly, I closed the distance between us and bowed slightly in greeting.
"Hello, ma'am. Thank you for—"
"Step in, the world has eyes my lady," She shot back, walking into her house.
I threw a look at Bee but he shrugged and led the way into the woman's home.
The moment I walked in, the smell of fresh leaves and flowers filled my nostrils long before my eyes settled on the plants lining every corner of the room.
"Your—" she paused and moved her eyes to Bee before continuing. "—assistant has explained the situation to me, I will have to do a little test to be sure that you are fine."
She stopped in front of a pile of clothes and with one big shove she pushed it off, revealing a long table underneath.
"Please lie down, let me check you."
I swallowed hard and forced a warm smile as I got into the table— the back of my mind still wondering the sort of healer this woman was.
"I can smell the blood of the Lycan that flows through your veins..." She whispered as she brought her hands to my stomach. "Which means, you are a very strong wolf..."
"Hmm!" I groaned as her hands suddenly pressed down over my lower abdomen.
"And a medication would have to be designed for Lycans for it to actually harm you or your womb..." She stopped pressing on me and moved away.
My eyes followed her movements, wondering what she would do now. As if sensing my worries, Bee held my hand, offering me a comforting smile.
The woman returned shortly after with a long cotton swab in her hand. "Young man, I am going to need you to step out for a moment..."
Bee tried to move but I held back his hands. "What is that for?" I asked, my fear pushing to the surface.
The woman met my eyes and for the first time, she smiled. "I am going to insert this into your womanhood so I can get a sample of what is going on inside of you..."
"I— I'll just step outside for a minute," Bee quickly said before practically running out of the room.
The older woman let out a chuckle as she proceeded to pull up my dress.
"Relax your muscles, this isn't going to hurt."
I did as she said, even helping to shift my undergarment to give her enough access.
My cheeks burned with embarrassment as I felt the small push of the cotton swab inside of me. It was nothing compared to Asher's cock but the fact that it was even there to begin with, made my emotions involuntarily going back to our moment last night.
"All done." She chirped pulling out the swab. "Now, if you will give me a moment, I will be back before you know it."
I politely nodded, watching as she disappeared into another room in the house, leaving me to my thoughts— or maybe she just wanted me to get a moment to calm the heat crashing through me.
The moment I calmed down, she returned with a transparent bag filled with plants.
"So, we are done. Your womb is absolutely fine." She beamed, passing me the bag in her hands. "And this should be crushed and placed in your meals everyday until you take in the child."
"Oh, thank you," I whispered, receiving the bag from her. "What are they?"
"It is a blend of aphrodisiacs and a couple of other herbs to boost your reproductive system... For best results try and mate in the old missionary position. That will help the sperm hit the right target, hence; helping you take in faster."
"Oh..." I mumbled once more as my cheeks burned with even more embarrassment and then the trouble of having to actually fulfill this.
I couldn't decide what position Asher wanted to take me. I couldn't even pick when he wanted me or just hated me...
The main door suddenly opened and Bee popped his head in. "I'm sorry... But we really have to leave now."
My heart jumped to my throat as I hurriedly got down from the table. "Did something happen? Is Asher searching for me?"
"No, it's much more." He turned his attention to the older woman and nodded, mouthing a thanking before leading me out of there.
"Bee, what is going on?" I asked as we started hurrying back.
"I got Intel from my friends, Luciano is up to something and you won't like the sound of it."
