Haig
My right hand knocked on the door many times, but there was nobody there to open it. Until it realized that the door was not closed—it was not locked, but open. My hand slowly thrusted the door, which made a sharp-crying sound. I entered there and slowly shut the door. As I turned, I noticed that it was so spacious here. The living room had three couches, a glass-topped wide table with four wooden varnished chairs around it. There were many paintings that were hanging on the hard walls, and a tile-made staircase that winding towards the second floor of the house.
It was a huge house and there is a possibility that someone is living here. My body starts searching around the house. There is nobody here, but my body won't stop from searching around. I climbed the stairs and was surprised by what I saw there. The room was full of hanging black curtains, and there is something that is happening just now. This body I have won't give them the privacy that they want.
Behind the black curtains there are lights, and the silhouette of a moving person can be seen on the curtains. A man and a woman are doing the thing that a couple normally does. It seemed that I was watching a delicate movie played by two lascivious couple. It seemed that the curse was also enjoying watching them making a baby.
Minutes elapsed. Maybe they were already tired of what they were doing. But I was wrong, for they had stopped because they heard the sound that was made by my body as it touched and fell the painting that was hanging on the wall.
"Did you hear that sound? It seemed that something had fallen down on the floor," the woman said, curious.
"That's nothing love. Don't mind it, that was just a little sound. Come on, let us just continue this because it's getting warmer," he replied.
"But love, what if there is a thief who has entered our house and wants to rob something?"
"That is impossible. Have you forgotten that we have a strong guard that was watching outside our house? So just relax."
"But I cannot calm down as long as we don't know what it is. What if you just look for it before we continue this? I really have a strong hunch that there is someone who is watching us."
"Okay, I will look for it, don't leave here, and don't sleep."
The curse seemed to know what was happening, so my feet brought me behind the wall to hide and it seemed like had a dark plan. While the man was checking the painting that had fallen on the tile-made steel-hard floor. He got the painting and hung it again on the black-painted wall.
There was a bat that was lying on the hard floor beside me. My hands got it and prepared to hit the man if he passed by here. My hand did not fail because when the man passed by beside me, it did not waste the opportunity to hit him with the white bat on the back side of his head. He did not fall down at my first attempt; he had only been shaken and became dizzy.
In second attempt, he was still standing and about to fall. When my hand stroke him again, he totally dropped down on the floor and the white-painted bat that was made of wood was torn. My hand punched him many times, and that made the red liquid come out of his nose, assuring that the man was already dead, until his heart stopped beating anymore. My feet kicked him, which made his body rolled down the stairs.
My feet brought me towards the spot where the woman was lying just a while ago. It slowly walked towards her, but she heard my footsteps.
"Love is that... you? So... is there someone who has entered our house or is it just nothing?" The woman asked.
The woman was surprised when she saw me, "Who are you? What are you doing here? Where is my husband?" She harped.
She was about to spring from the upholstered bed when my hand stopped her and held her neck firmly. It seemed that my hand was withholding this woman's breath. I can hear the sound that came from the her mouth, a sign that she was feeling pain. But instead of showing pity, my hand held her neck very-very firmly, and that made a sound like cracking. It seemed that the bone in her neck had been broken, until her head became languid.
Today is the most bad day of my life because I saw that my hands had killed three people, but I could not even do anything to help them. The only thing I can do is to hope that they may forgive me. I was the most sinful person in this world because I killed three innocent people in just one day without hesitating. If time can be restored, I already did it, so that the lives of the people will also be restored. I already went back to the past so that I could make my wrong decisions right. But as my mother always said, we cannot go back to the past. That is why we must make sure that we have pondered over every decision that we are going to make. One wrong decision can make us blame ourselves forever.
At this moment, the bluish cloud had shown up again and brought me back to my home, or inside my small bedroom. As I looked outside the window, I realized that it was already evening, because the moon and stars had already showed up in the bluish sky. I closed the window and get my clothes from the box. My parents would be more confused if they saw me in this condition. I also knew that even though I looked okay, I still could not escape the questions from my parents. My father will scold me again, plus, my mother will become very worried and, equals, they will fight again because of me. Conclusion, there will be a possibility that my family will be broken and that is the thing I don't want to happen.
Good to know that my parents do not see me going towards the bathroom, or else they will surely scold me and ask many questions. Perhaps time did not move when I left here, and perhaps time in the place where I was moving did not move even though I am no longer there. Well, I don't care about it anymore. If time won't move, then that favored me, and if time will fly, that favored me too. Time is just that, but it cannot be seen or touched. It will just pass by and won't come back again.
The only thing that I don't want to happen is that the curse will consume much of my time because it can affect my whole life, my schooling, and the dreams that I want to achieve.
After I took a bath, I dry myself with a white towel. I wore my blue underwear, plain shirt and black pants. I hung the towel on the clothesline and went outside the small bathroom. When I went towards the kitchen, I saw my mother was brushing her long curly hair while looking outside the window. It seemed that she was talking alone, or she was talking with her hair because I heard it by myself.
"My hair, can you tell me if there is something wrong that is happening to my son currently? I just noticed that there are many weird things like bruises and wounds on his body these days."
Though her hair does not reply, it seems that she wants to say something or say something to my mother that I cannot understand. I was not surprised anymore if there were many wonders about my mother because I experienced wonders by myself too. I went towards my mother and hugged her from behind to let her know that I was okay, though there are many difficulties that I have been facing lately.
"Oh! Son, what are you doing and where have you been?" She asked without a shocked feeling, but a calm and melodious voice.
"Guess it, mamma."
"I don't know, tell me."
"Why won't you try to ask your hair?"
"It won't tell me, it does not even know how to talk."
"From the grassland."
"No lies?"
I did not reply to her, I just got inside the kitchen and checked the cauldron to see what was in it. It was my viands, though I was not hungry at all. It was just a pretext to make my mother and father believe that I was hungry and thirsty. Sometimes I forget to pretend, but my parents still do not notice it. Maybe there are many things that they are hiding from me, but whatever it is, if they are going to tell me, I will never blame them and accept whatever it is. Acceptance is a pleasant word that everyone must know. If you accept someone wholeheartedly, whoever or whatever they are, you are showing them your love.
After I ate, I went back into my bedroom. I locked the door and laid down on my wooden bed. I covered my face with a blanket. As I rolled myself, I noticed something. It was the person who gave me the bluish cloud. I sprang from my bed and instead of lying, I just sat down there.
I looked at the man and said, "Hey! What are you doing here? Do you want to add more problems to me, huh?"
His face had become younger than before. I sensed the reason why he put this curse on me. Maybe because it could help him become younger. To live longer in this world, though he is not a human being, because I am the only one who can see him. It was useless if he became younger and handsome if the people could not see him. Even for me, the only thing that I can see about him is a wicked man who cannot recognize the difference between right and wrong.
Instead of fighting with me, he said, "thank you, Haig" ingratiatingly. He was so irritating that I wanted to put him inside a jar so that he could not hurt other people.
I don't know what to say. I just looked down on the rough floor and did not say anything. I let him do whatever he wanted because I know that no matter how much pleading he gets from me, this curse will never be lifted. Maybe soon I can learn to live with it. Maybe I can learn to squeamish my body when it is killing people.
It comes to my mind how he knew my name, because I had not told him anything about myself. What he did know was that I was a boy, but now it seemed that he knew more about me—he definitely needed to be despatch. Well, nothing is impossible. Maybe he used his power to find out who I am, so that he could use me more for his dark purposes, like killing people and making himself handsome. He was so selfish that he only considered himself, without thinking about the sake of others.
"Haig, I know you are struggling because the curse is slowly taking over your entire body, but if you need it, I can help you survive the curse," he said, solemnly.
"How can you say so if you are the one who put me under this curse too? You really have no conscience. I will only trust you if you will remove this."
"You said that if I remove that curse from you, you will conspire with me. Don't withdraw it, because the word "you will" means sooner or later, so I can help you to survive from that curse if you will conspire with me now."
"How dare you force me to conspire with you? You misinterpreted me!"
"It is just the same. If you are trusting me, you are conspiring with me too." He defended his wrong belief.
"If that is what you believe—but I will only trust or conspire with you if you prove yourself that you want to help me and you will remove this curse."
"Sorry Haig, but I cannot remove that curse." He was serious. "But... I can help you get rid of it."
"You are really a fool. You are the only one who put this curse on me, but you don't know how to remove it? What kind of demon do you think you are?"
"Shhh—lower your voice. I am not the one who put that to you, it was yourself because you did not listen to me. The most important thing for you is to have power and to become a superhero."
"Motherf*cker! You have cheated me, that's why I accepted the curse. You are an idiot old man, you are a demon! demon! demon!"
"You had cheated yourself, it was not me who cheated you! You are the one who was a fool! Fool! Fool!"
He was really an idiot who could not recognize his mistakes. Though he was the one who brought himself to me and asked if I wanted power, then he could say that I had been cheating myself. I really want to cut him into pieces so that he cannot cheat others anymore.
