Chapter 138 Heartbroken
Shawn's shamelessness was almost impressive. Molly bit her lip to control the flutter in her heart and turned to look out the car window. "Whatever."
"Whatever? Is that a new dish? Where'd you try it? Take me there," Shawn teased, leaning closer to Molly. His words made Molly a bit embarrassed and annoyed. She glared at him. "Are we going to eat or not? If not, I'm heading back to school."
"Of course, we're going," Shawn said, grabbing Molly's hand. He raised an eyebrow, looking a bit hurt. "I was just messing with you. Are you really mad?"
Molly didn't respond, just tried to pull her hand away. Shawn pretended not to notice and started the car, still holding her hand. Molly struggled a few times but couldn't break free. Her hand gradually settled in his palm, and the atmosphere became charged with suggestiveness. Suddenly, her phone rang.
Molly instinctively picked up her phone, thinking it was Maria calling. But when she saw Clifford's name on the screen, her expression tightened. What was she doing? How could she face Clifford like this?
Molly's mind was in turmoil. She had feelings for Shawn; otherwise, she wouldn't have come out just because he said there was something about the club. She even lied to Maria to be here. She knew these feelings were dangerous for her, but she couldn't control herself.
"Let go," Molly suddenly said, her voice turning cold. Shawn sensed something was wrong and glanced at her, noticing Clifford's name on her phone. "Your boyfriend is calling?"
As he spoke, Shawn released her hand, a cryptic smile playing on his lips. "Need me to pull over so you can talk?"
Molly ignored him, took a deep breath, and answered the call. Clifford's concerned voice came through. "Molly, where are you?"
"I'm not at school. I'm out shopping with a friend. Do you need something?" Molly lied instinctively. She couldn't let Clifford know she was with Shawn.
Hearing she was out with a friend, Clifford asked if she had enough money. Molly, having just made up the excuse, said she did. But after hanging up, she received a notification of a $10,000 transfer from Clifford, telling her to have fun and relax, and to ask for more if she needed it.
Molly's thoughts were a tangled mess, so much so that she didn't even notice the car had stopped. Before she could sort things out, Shawn's lazy voice broke the silence. "Regretting coming out to eat with me? Shopping with friends, huh?"
Shawn chuckled, unbuckling his seatbelt and leaning in close, his voice tinged with sarcasm. "Am I so shameful that you can't even mention me?"
Molly instinctively retorted, "That's not what I meant. I just..."
How could she tell the truth? Clifford had been wary of Shawn ever since meeting him once. Molly bit her lip, unable to speak. Shawn suddenly leaned in, his voice dropping. "Don't bite your lip. It makes me worry."
Molly looked at him, meeting Shawn's unguarded gaze. They could both see the mutual attraction in each other's eyes. Shawn whispered, "Molly, I like you. I really do."
He leaned in and kissed her. Molly didn't resist. Her heart had been in turmoil since Shawn's confession. She realized she truly liked Shawn, a lot.
They kissed passionately, Shawn's breath growing heavier. His kisses trailed down Molly's delicate neck, sending electric shivers through her body.
Shawn's eyes darkened with desire as he looked at Molly's flushed face. He unbuttoned her shirt, revealing a white lace bra. Molly's body was even more beautiful than he had imagined. Shawn skillfully unhooked her bra, her breasts springing free.
Shawn's hands roamed over her breasts, squeezing them gently. Molly felt both shy and scared. Sensing her unease, Shawn pressed his body against hers. "Molly, you're so beautiful."
Shawn's voice was filled with admiration. Molly's anxiety eased a bit at his praise. Shawn continued to knead her breasts, feeling her nipples harden. He lowered his head and sucked on them, like a baby nursing.
Molly felt a mix of pain and pleasure, moaning softly. Shawn, sensing she was ready, moved his hand down to her private area. Molly was already wet. Shawn lifted her onto his lap, adjusting their positions.
Molly knew what was about to happen. Her mind was in chaos. Logic told her to refuse, but her emotions didn't want to. This was the first time she had felt this way about someone. She had never felt this way about Clifford; she had chosen him for his family background and good character.
While she hesitated, Shawn had already removed her pants and was working on her underwear. Molly instinctively pressed her hand against his. Her voice trembled. "Shawn, I'm not ready. Let's not..."
Shawn held her close, his voice seductive. "Baby, you don't need to be ready for this. I'll make you feel good. I'm already like this. Can you really turn me down?"
Molly fell silent. She couldn't bear to refuse him. Just as Shawn was about to continue, his phone rang. He didn't want to answer, but it kept ringing. Molly pushed him. "Your phone is ringing. Maybe it's important. You should answer it."
Annoyed, Shawn grabbed his phone. Molly saw the name "Shirley" on the screen. She had heard that Shirley was a childhood friend of Shawn's, and their parents hoped they would end up together. As she thought about this, Shirley's voice came through the phone. "Shawn, are you with Molly? Where are you?"
"My business is none of your concern. Don't call me unless it's important," Shawn snapped, ready to hang up.
Shirley's voice came again. "Shawn, you jerk. I'm pregnant."
"Impossible. I took precautions," Shawn instinctively denied.
Shirley laughed. "Shawn, remember that time you were drunk? You said it felt better without a condom."
Shawn fell silent. Shirley continued. "Shawn, your parents know I'm pregnant. They want to set a date for our engagement. Shawn, I'm carrying your child. I'm feeling awful right now. Can you come over?"
Shawn's face showed his frustration. His parents knowing about Shirley's pregnancy complicated things. He couldn't deny it. Shirley had been with him since she was eighteen, and she had only been with him. Plus, his family needed the Smith family's support.
"Baby, where are you? I'll come to you," Shawn's tone softened. Molly listened to their conversation, feeling like she was in a nightmare. Shawn had always told her that he and Shirley were just friends, that he saw her as a sister. But now Shirley was pregnant with his child. This was his idea of treating her like a sister?
Molly felt something break inside her. Looking at Shawn, she felt disgusted. And she felt even more disgusted with herself for almost having sex with him. Molly couldn't take it anymore. She hurriedly put her clothes back on.
