Spare us almighty guardian II
A mixture of brown and black scales as its skin, the black scales were shiny and it was obvious that they were new. The left side of its face had two eyes and so was the right side. It didn't have a nose, a fish like mouth filled half of its face. The teeth although they were sharp were in an orderly manner. It had a big strong neck and huge chest with arms filled with muscle. The look in its eyes wasn't that of a monster or animal, there was intelligence and it's humanoid form made me very curious about what this creature was like before being corrupted.

I couldn't see the rest of its body because of the smoke but it's obvious that it's standing on two legs. The guardian doesn't look mindless, heck I wouldn't be surprised if it started moving its mouth and fluent English came out of it.

It looked like it was in a confused state but while I was still staring at such a presence Vale didn't stay idle. He gave the werewolves more than one potion each, basically using all the low level healing potions to heal them quickly. The werewolves were immediately healed fully and some who had heavy wounds were almost healed completely. It was a far better stare than they were before taking the potions. It may seem reckless to use all the potions because what if they get wounded again but the truth is that if they were to fight in the state they were in before taking the potions some of them would surely die. I guess Vale plans to go all out huh! But what else could we do in this situation.

I took one of the mid level healing potions and threw them towards Vale who caught the potion with ease because he was in his human form. He immediately chucked the potion in his mouth without even asking what it was. I was surprised by that because what if I poured poison in that bottle. I guess he now finally trusts me, he saw how I risked my life by facing the monsters head on. His expression turned into surprise when experiencing the effects of my mid level healing potion. I guess he didn't think I'd be this amazing. Another fool who'll be surprised is that good for nothing idiot Arina! She'll wish to die when she hears about my new potions...that is if we survive this mighty guardian.

Vale's transformation was quick and I also got ready to begin this battle that I know won't be easy at all.

'Quickly get on me!'

Vale's voice reached my mind and my mind went blank for a second but Vale's transformation pulled the guardian out of its confusion. The four unblinking eyes scanned us and when seeing the bodies of monsters littered all over the place its eyes narrowed and a mighty deep roar followed. With just a swipe of its hands the smoke was removed showing its entire body but then the smoke came towards us which wasn't good at all.

I also swiped my hand and a gust of big wind blew the smoke back towards it. Of course the smoke could never hurt it but I pushed back what it was pushing towards us. That definitely angered it!

'quickly Era! We have to get out of here now because we don't stand a chance like this!'

While I ran towards Vale I heard his voice in my head that was filled with agency. No wonder he wanted me to get on him because there's no way he was going to be able to fight while carrying me but this though. This came as a surprise. We're actually escaping and he is the one suggesting it. I never thought of him as someone who'd run with his tail between his legs. Then I also realized how this was simply the best decision, we're exhausted and some aren't fully healed and we were never prepared for a foe in this level.

I jumped on his back and the guardian finally understood what these ants before it planned to do. It roared and then finally moved but the werewolves have already sprinted towards the forest already aiming to exit quickly. The ground shook every time it took a step as it chased us. Shakily I looked back, it was fast very fast for its size and I finally saw how it looked. My guess was right, it had two legs that were big with muscly. A lizard like tale was swaying behind it, my goodness it even had a six pack. I'm sure other female guardians would find it very healthy and attractive.

Anyway! although it was fast the werewolves were still werewolves. Their full speed couldn't be matched, the guardian had a body of a giant after all. We soon left the dead forest and never stopped even after it stopped chasing us as soon as we left the forest. We all knew that we were going to have to face this guardian again and when that time came we would have to kill it.

I'm quite sure that this is a first for even the werewolves, everyone was gloomy especially the werewolf I was riding on. Their pride is sure wounded, there's no spirit of celebrating that all the monsters were killed and the fact that no new land has been poisoned. This guardian's appearance even outshined my performance and my potions but on the bright side. Yes there is a small bright side into all of this, we learnt something today. Possibly how the monsters came to be, that process could mean a lot of things and better yet answer a lot of things. I'm certain as soon as we return I'll be given the task of making a lot of mid quality healing potions while Vale thinks of a strategy. He has a lot to deal with, I haven't forgotten that there's a traitor in his pack and that needs to be fixed very fast.
