Thea’s closet was filled with a multitude of beautiful, vibrant outfits. She carefully evaluated each one while trying to hold back the giddiness that threatened to consume her. Mason had always been well-dressed, so she knew she had to find something appropriate for the occasion.

Thea stepped into the bathroom and stood in front of the full-length mirror. She examined her reflection before the tendrils of her cocoa-colored hair were twisted and pinned into romantic curls. She slid on a strapless black dress with a sweetheart neckline. Red chiffon fanned out from her left shoulder and over her body, tugging gently over her breasts, then allowing the rest to fall loosely around her waist. Her legs seemed to go on forever in the thin fabric, and she noted the subtle makeup that graced her face before slipping into strappy red heels. A black clutch wallet with a thin gold chain hung from the crook of one arm, completing this elegant yet sexy look.

She took a long look at herself in the mirror, and even though she had been out with Mason before, she couldn’t help feeling anxious. She tried to take a moment to steady her nerves, then stepped away from the mirror and headed out for the night.

Thea stepped into the elevator and pressed the call button. Her stomach began to flutter at the thought of seeing Mason. What would he think of her in this dress? Would he like it? Glancing down at herself, she remembered the first time Mason had sent her a dress for their date. How could she have known that night that she would fall in love with him and eventually become his sub? As she thought back to that evening, she recalled how Mason never took his eyes off her as they talked, even when other people approached their table. She felt a warmth wash over her as the elevator descended, and a smile formed on her lips.

Once she stepped out of the building’s glass doors onto the sidewalk, she was met with the sight of Mason, who stood tall and imposing over her. He was dressed to impress in a fitted black dress shirt paired with matching black dress pants that outlined his tall and muscular frame. He looked like a classic movie star with his blonde hair styled messily yet elegantly and a five o’clock shadow adding a hint of mystery to his strong jawline. His piercing blue eyes looked at her curiously as if they had asked her why it had taken her so long. His gaze was magnetic, and she felt herself blushing as a wave of desire rushed through her. She was going to have a hard time keeping her hands to herself tonight.

Mason’s eyes greedily swept over Thea as she stood before him, taking in her silky chocolate hair cascading over her slender shoulders, her curves that begged to be touched, and the inviting glimmer in her eye. His chest tightened, and a heat spread through him, pulling him towards her. He could feel his arousal coursing through his veins like electricity - an ache that demanded immediate satisfaction. She was a vision of beauty, standing there like an ethereal goddess, and he felt powerless against her pull. He cleared his throat and offered her his arm. With a softer tone than usual, he breathed out, “You look amazing,” he said, and this time there was something different in his tone. It was as if he wanted to show her more than just his physical desire.

“And you look incredibly handsome, Mason,” Thea said, her eyes twinkling with admiration as she slipped her arm through his. She stopped suddenly at the sight of the gleaming black Rolls Royce that had pulled up to the curb. “You’re really going all out tonight. Aren’t you?” Her fingertips brushed against his starched dress shirt, and her face lit up with delight.

Mason held the door for Thea and ushered her inside. Once inside, he joined her, and the driver pulled away from the curb. “I have to make up for lost time,” Mason declared as they rode off. Mason intertwined his fingers with Thea’s, the heat of his palm sending a blush to her cheeks. He softly caressed her skin with his thumb as he tilted his head and looked at her with an intensity she had never seen in him before. His voice was low as he said, “I wanted you to see me in a new light tonight.”

“Why’s that?” Thea asked, “I love your light.”

Mason grabbed both of Thea’s hands in his, lightly kissing each one as he said, “I want to show you that I can love you in more than just sexual ways,” He locked eyes with her, sending a shiver down her spine.

Thea’s eyes widened as she listened. The emotion in his voice was far beyond anything she had ever heard before. The energy between them seemed to crackle and shimmer with the possibility of something different than the physical attraction that had brought them together in the first place. Without hesitation, Thea leaned into him, pressing her soft lips against his, and whispered, “I would love that.”

Mason felt his heart dance as he looked upon Thea, and he wanted more than ever to put the walls of the past behind him and devote himself to her. He laced their fingers together and brought Thea’s hand up to his lips, where he softly kissed it. He looked deep into her eyes and spoke from his soul. “I’ve never felt more alive than when I’m with you, Thea.” He could practically feel the weight of his insecurities and doubts lift off his shoulders, and for the first time, he felt completely free to love and be loved. Never before had he felt so whole.

Thea and Mason stepped out of the car, their hands intertwined, and approached the restaurant. Thea couldn’t help but be surprised to find the restaurant’s usually bustling entrance completely empty. She turned to Mason, her brow furrowed in confusion, and saw that he was smiling at her, his eyes twinkling with excitement. He gently squeezed her hand as he opened the door with his free hand. “I thought it best if we had this dinner all by our lonesome tonight,” he said as he gave her arm a gentle tug, encouraging her to step inside.

Thea’s eyes widened as they stepped into the restaurant. The tables and chairs had been moved to the side of the room, and the only light came from a single candle flickering on a small table in the center, casting a soothing glow around them. On top of the table were two gold-rimmed glasses and gold-and-white napkins shaped like swans. She looked around the empty restaurant in awe, feeling the enormity of his gesture. He leaned in close, his breath tickling her ear, and whispered, “I wanted something intimate tonight.”

He gestured to the chair opposite him and pulled out the seat as he waited for her to get comfortable before taking his own. He leaned forward and said in a soft voice, “You wouldn’t believe what my mother said after you left.”

“Oh no. What did she say?” Thea asked curiously.
