I wondered what exactly Alex was talking about, but I was not really worried, because I knew how she was, she was always full of herself and always looking for ways to ruin other people's lives. From what I saw at Sebastian’s office when Alex begged Sebastian not to leave her, then I realized just how desperate she was when it came to Sebastian. Mrs. Shelby was so angry you could see it all over her face, and I just kept staring at my mother, because one thing about my mum is that she hardly gets angry or even speaks. She prefers to watch and observe before taking action. When Alex tried to forcefully get to Sebastian my mother quickly walked to Alex, and that was the last thing I expected my mother to do, because my mum is too chill and reserved. When my mother stood in front of Alex, Alex smiled and said; I see that you are Elizabeth's mother I guess you don't know who I am, well I am Alexander, you might have heard about it from the news or maybe from your daughter, Elizabeth, but I'm sure you have heard about it. Oh, I'm the lady who was involved in the scandal with your son-in-law, Sebastian. I am the same Alex who made your son-in-law finally tell the public about his marriage to your daughter, Elizabeth. I'm sure you have noticed that their marriage was kind of a secret, right? So thanks to me and the scandal, people can finally address your daughter as Mrs Sebastian, and people now know that Sebastian is really married. I think I deserve applause for making all that possible, don't you think so, Mrs reign? Alex kept running her mouth, and she kept on saying things like I was supposed to be grateful to her for my marriage or what?! My mother turned around and looked at Sebastian and me. My mother looked very confused about everything that Alex was saying, and I was angry. Before I could say anything to Alex, my mum asked Sebastian what was going on with him and Alex, and she needed to hear the truth. Mrs. Shelby looked at Sebastian, then walked up to him and held his hands, then she said; Sebastian my son, you know that I will believe anything you say, right? I have raised you to be a strong and confident man. I raised you to be a man who commands power wherever he goes or wherever finds himself. You are my son, and I refuse to believe whatever this lady here is saying, so I need you to tell me the truth, tell me what is really going on between you and this lady! Mrs. Shelby's voice was breaking as she was speaking, and I felt like crying. Mrs. Shelby already knew what was going on but she really wanted Sebastian to deny everything. Mrs. Shelby is a very good woman, so I'm sure she would not want to be a mother whose son is a cheater, she would not want to be the mother of a son who has another woman outside his marriage. I understood everything, so I was not angry at Sebastian, Sebastian never cheated on me, to be honest, if Sebastian cheated on anyone then it was Alex and not me! Sebastian was with Alex even before he met me, and in Sebastian's defense, his mother, Mrs Shelby actually forced him to marry me by using her health issues, which obviously was a lie. I remember how Mrs. Shelby forced Sebastian and me to get married, Sebastian loved his mother so much that he did not want to break her heart so he agreed to marry me, so Sebastian was not a cheater, he only dated a lady he probably should not have dated, and I was so sure that he was regretting it too. I told Mrs. Shelby and everyone else, that we should go back to the sitting room, and I would explain everything to them, which everyone agreed to. Alex was the reason for all the drama so of course, she had to be there too. She also followed us into the sitting room. Sebastian stood for about a minute staring at Alex so angrily, that he looked like he was about to pounce on her, but I held his hand and smiled at him, so he would calm down. When Alex saw that Sebastian was limping she rushed to him and asked what was wrong with him, but Sebastian didn't say anything to her, he just walked away, Alex still walked up to him, and her eyes had become teary already, she kept asking Sebastian what was wrong with him, but Sebastian did not give her a reply. Mine and Sebastian's mother kept staring at Alex, and they kept rolling their heads, and I was sure that by then they were very aware of what was going on between Alex and Sebastian. I held Alex's hand then I told her that if she didn't behave herself and act maturely then she would be thrown out of the house with immediate effect. She sat down on the chair close to Mrs Shelby, but the look of Mrs. Shelby was not very pleasant, which made Alex switch seats. It was just Sebastian, his mother, my mother, Alex, and I in the sitting room, because everyone else knew about everything happening between Sebastian and Alex except our mothers, so they also deserved the truth. I sat close to my mother while Sebastian sat close to his mother. Alex was a bit far from us, but not too far not to hear all that I was about to say. I told our mothers to, please, calm down, and that they should try to understand all that I was about to say before making conclusions. I started talking. I said; Sebastian is not a cheater, because I feel that is what you both might be thinking, but he is not, and here are the reasons why he is not..
