Melissa's POV
Irritated by what just transpired between I and Viviana, I sat on the bed staring so hard at the door opposite to me.
Why do I feel so bittered by her words?
I shouldn't feel this way since I have nothing special with Nelson, he hates me so much and possibly having anything to do with him is far away from being possible.
I groaned angrily, laid on the bed with so many thoughts running through my mind and before I knew it, I drifted into a deep slumber.
The atmosphere was cold, confused, I got on my feet only to realize that I was in a cave, a cave with almost no light for me to see my way through.
Scared, I scanned around hoping that I won't be caught in a web of confusion but the more I flickered my eyes to assert my sight, it felt very impossible to figure out how I got in here.
"Hello" I muttered but my voice echoed back at me.
A little stone fell next to me, looking up, I realized that a ray of light emitted from the hole in the wall Which the fallen stone created. To my advantage, it brought a little light into the cave and it was at that moment that I realized that indeed, I have been in this cave before.
"Hello" I said again trying to recollect my memory but it was far from possible, I could barely remember when I had been in here but it was so clear deep inside my conscience that this isn't my first time being here.
Suddenly, a noise behind me alerted me. I turned around only to find some bars Which flew past me in a hurry like they were being chased by something.
Stunned, I stared really hard at the direction the bats flew from but I didn't see anyone.
"Hello, is anyone there?" I implored, really frightened, I inhaled deeply, gulped really hard, my heart began to race and with each beat it made, I couldn't help but feel my legs wobble in dismay.
Immediately, a soft chuckle from behind alarmed me.
At that point, I froze at my spot, unable to turn around. I could feel the presence of someone behind me and not just an ordinary person but a presence with powers.
"Who are you?" I asked to my surprise, my eyes still not wanting to turn around just to see who this person is.
The person chuckled again, this time, it was so intense that I could feel the blood on my veins run violently.
"Alissia" the voice called out.
Immediately, the name struck me so hard and at that point, I remembered the man who attacked me, the man with fiery red eyes.I remember him clearly calling me such a name , a name which continued to ring a bell ever since that attack.
"Alissia, it's been a long time and indeed you have grown better than I imagined" the voice noted again, this time, there was a cold sensation in the voice that sent chills down my spine.
At that moment, I couldn't tell if it was the voice of a man or a woman, it felt so I'm in between that I failed to understand myself anymore, it was like I was going crazy and almost losing my mind in a way that made my head explode.
Not wanting to keep me at the edge, I turned around and to my greatest shock, standing before me was that same man, the man with the red fiery eyes that almost killed me.
The moment our eyes locked, a sharp glitter shone right from his eyes. I gulped hard, unable to speak, as dumbfounded as I was, I took a step backwards Wondering how this man is in here.
"You look so surprised to see me Alissia, wait, don't tell me that this feeling of yours has anything to do with our last encounter" he smirked, his eyes as sharp as ever.
I glanced at him closer, this time, he wasn't wearing a mask and his face was very visible to me. His long black hair flowed endlessly down to his waist region, although I wasn't able to see his face at the time of the attack, but one thing I couldn't get my head off was his eyes that I never failed to forget.
"What do you want from me?" I found myself asking, this time, I didn't want to chicken out or make him see me as a weakling. Nelson isn't here to protect me so I must be willing to protect myself at all cost.
His left brow raised at me as he stared hard, "What do I want?"
"Yes, what exactly do you want from me?" I affirmed again, this time, I could feel a sense of boldness building inside of me.
He smirked deeper.
"Alissia…"
"I am not Alissia"I said aloud, cutting him short, my voice echoed down the cave.
"Of course you are, how can you forget so soon? '' he emphasized with a serious look on his face.
I didn't hide the frown that plastered on my face, "I am not Alissia but Melissa, I can see that you are getting my name mixed up, it's Melissa and not the other one you are pronouncing."
To my surprise, he laughed out loud. His laughter was so loud that it echoed down the cave making me scared to death.
My eyes widened in fear as I was ready to protect myself at all cost. Immediately, the smile on his face vanished and nothing but a deadly expression replaced it.
"Alissia, do you think that I am stupid?"
I don't know what to answer so I stayed mute searching my head for a way to escape.
"I know you so well, right from the day you were conceived. I watched you grow all these years, we talked when you were little, can you still say that you don't know me, our dealings and everything"
At that point, I lost it, buried six feet in nothing but confusion, I knew that this man do know something about this Alissia girl he is referring to
"I am not Alissia!" I let out loudly, this time, the fear in me was building like wildfire.
"I don't know who that is! I am just a human, a hell damn human! I don't know you, I don't understand what you mean by all of these, I don't even know what you want from me! Please let me go and don't try to kill me"
"Kill you?" He asked, adding more to my confused state.
He scoffed.
"If I really do want to kill you Alissia, I won't be having this conversation with you but kill you as fast and easy as possible. But no way, this doesn't mean that I won't still murder you and have your blood dripping down my hands. I will but not now, killing you right now will be hopeless but instead, when the right time comes, your death will be nothing but a thing of an unending joy" saying this, he vanished out of sight, a cloud of thick smoke covered me whole.
