NELSON'S POV
"Don't worry, I will come see you tonight, I have to meet Conri now and ask to see Tinox" I said to her warmly.
With a nod, Viviana pulled me closer to her and placed her lips on mine, giving me a soft kiss.
I smiled and walked out of the office. As I strolled down the hall, the face of Melissa flashed again through my mind. I wonder how she is right now and if she still has tears streaming down her face. Realizing that I am indeed the cause of her pain, I couldn't help but feel very down and a deep pain held my heart so deep.
Phoenix growled listening to my thoughts.
"You don't have to feel so bad Nelson, she is our mate and we both know how hungry we were for her the moment you pulled her so close to you and place soft kisses on her neck" Phoenix let out defending my thoughts but I was too broken to agree to it, I still couldn't help but feel so bad at my actions and I hope this won't change her mind into agreeing into the plan I stregezied already.
To my surprise, I found Conri walking towards me. As soon as he sighted me, his lips stretched into a smile.
"Good to see you Alpha" he noted as we got closer to each other.
Slowly, his eyes left my face and fell to my arm, "Your arm looks better than last night" he muttered, still smiling as usual.
For a moment, I completely forgot about my bleeding arm. I glanced at it, the bandage placed on my flesh.
I looked away trying not to remember my ordeal with Melissa, her caring attitude towards falling to my face and my ungrateful act at her.
"I need your help Conri" I let out changing the topic.
The smile on his face vanished, replaced by a serious expression.
"Is anything the problem?" He asked, staring at me so intensively.
I shook my head in disagreement, "No, nothing is wrong at all. I just need you to call the attention of Tinox, I need to speak with him" I announced.
"Oh, about that…" Conri paused, nodding, "That's why I was heading towards your office to call you. He is down in the hall along with the rescued guards from yesterday. Your attention is needed for something very important" he revealed.
Surprised, I nodded and together with Conri, we headed towards the hall.
Walking into the hall, I was surprised to see everyone waiting patiently. Tinox looked up at the sound of my footsteps, a troubled look into his eyes.
"There is something I need you to hear, Prince Nelson," Tinox said, breaking the silence.
I glanced at the dice rescued gown as I walked towards where Tinox stood. Although they had bruises on their faces, they look quite fine to me in a way that really pleased me knowing that indeed they are fine.
I glanced at Conri and back at Tinox.
"What seems to be the problem?" I asked, staring at him.
"They will inform you about this," Tinox replied, pointing at the men.
I turned my gaze at them really puzzled and curious to know what they do have in mind to inform me about.
"Speak, what seems to be the problem here" I ordered, my eyes glancing at one man to the other.
One of the men walked forward, he bowed his head in respect and gazed up at me. He was an average man with a bald head and broad shoulders which made him look incredibly scary. There was a deep frown on his face, a deadly stare inside his eyes.
"Alpha '' he muttered as I watched him, the atmosphere was so tense that I could see beads of sweat forming on the forehead of the other men who stood attentively.
"There is a traitor here in the pack" he announced with so much vigor that it felt very impossible not to believe his words.
Not really surprised by his reveal, I always felt that there is indeed a black wolf present in the pack. I have always known right from the first attack. Something indeed had always been wrong somewhere, although I couldn't help but feel very angry concerning this revelation but I needed to know why this man would say such.
"A traitor?"
"Yes Alpha, a traitor" he affirmed very strongly.
I took some steps closer to him, this time, I had my eyes fixed solely on him.
"Why do you say so? There should be a reason to back up your words" I said to him waiting eagerly to hear what he has to say.
The man glared at me with sharp eyes, sharp enough to cut through any man's flesh,a look of fury rising heavily without limit.
"The moment we got ambushed and trapped. We were isolated deep into the woods by some werewolves in the hunters pack. A few minutes into getting kidnapped, we overheard some men discussing. At first, I was intrigued to know what they were talking about. Unaware that I was eavesdropping on their conversation, I heard one of the men stating that a traitor from our pack involves them daily of the event that is being carried out by you daily" he revealed, nothing else but sincere truth was shown all over him.
I narrowed my gaze with deep surprise.
"Did they specify this person with gender?" I asked.
The man shook his head, "No they didn't. They just said that a meeting will be hosted by them tomorrow and they will meet this traitor at the particular meeting spot just to get more information" the man chipped in, glanced at a Tinox who listened attentively and returned his gaze back at me.
Deep worry filled me and I couldn't help but wonder who this person might be. I hoped that the gender might be revealed but the opposite happened and now I have to figure out who this traitor is and fish him out very quickly.
"A meeting spot" I muttered thinking deeply.
"Was the meeting spot revealed?" I Implored.
The man nodded, "Yes, one of the men noted that it's at the crossroad that binds the whole werewolves packs together"
Shocked by this, I glanced at Conri who looked surprised as well, the surprised look on his face mixed with anger as he didn't take his gaze off the guard.
"We have to be there" Conri spoke out, breaking the silence as he turned his gaze at me. "Since the hunters werewolves will be meeting with this traitor from our pack Tomorrow, we need to be there and get to know who this person is. This is our only chance to find out this person is and save our pack from any further issues.
I stood deep in thoughts, although Conri had a solid point, it was far too dangerous and something I won't think of embarking on.
"It's way too dangerous Conri" I noted looking up at the pack."We have to solve this smoothly just to avoid this Traitor from getting to know of our plan…." I paused with worried eyes, "I fear that this Traitor lives among us, I don't know why I feel this way but my whole mind is so firm to this that I know it's nothing else but the truth."
Conri didn't look pleased with my words. He glanced at Tinox expecting him to say something but Tinox didn't.
"We can't just stay back in the pack and fold our arms knowing that we can find the answers right away. As stated, they will be meeting with whomever this person is, we have to go over to the crossroad, find who this person is and get to the bottom of this. I fear that the longer we wait, the more deadly it will be for us all".
"Alpha, Conri is right. Together with the other guard, we can take them down including this traitor" Louis, the guard who revealed the news spoke out with so much anger in his eyes.
I glanced at both men, "Alright, but if we are to go, then I have to do it alone"
The hall fell dead silent as the men gazed at me like I was insane.
"That is way too risky," Tinox said.
I averted my gaze at him, "I am sorry but this is the right thing to do" my gaze fixed on his enlarged eyes.
