Kill her

Melissa's POV

The sound of chirping birds filled my ears accompanied by the fall of a mighty waterfall.

I opened my eyes only to find myself laying at the foot of a very tall tree, the bright sky shown right back at me.

Confused, I slowly got up to my feet, my eyes still lurking around as I wondered where I was at that moment.

The last thing I could remember was almost being killed by the man who got attacked by Nelson but here I am in a strange place, a place I have no knowledge of.

"Where am I?" I asked myself scanning the place. In front of me flowed a mighty waterfall which went deep into an ocean right in front of me. The path I stood on was overwhelmed with trees. The whole place looked so strange to me that I couldn't point out where I was.

There was no one at sight, the sun was up giving me enough light to see through. Although I could hear the sound of chirping birds, there was no bird at sight,a realization which confused me the most.

Not wanting to waste time pondering, I began to stroll down the path. The more I walked, the more it felt like I was surrounded by a group of people but as I turned around, I saw no one at all.

Hours went by and I found myself still wandering the path which looked like it had no end.

The sun was about to set and still I couldn't find my way through.

What is going on?

I need to get out of here before the sun sets. I can't afford to spend the night out here without any means to find my way through the darkness. I was about to lose it but still, I didn't want to give up but walk further just to find my way out as quickly as I can.

Unluckily for me, the sun began to set gradually, I was already exhausted and my stomach grumbled out of hunger. Placing a hand on my stomach, I rubbed it without stopping. I need to keep on moving, my guts kept telling me that I will find refuge soon but it felt quite impossible.

Soon, the sun set, there was no moon or stars in the sky, the atmosphere was so cold and it was at that moment I realized that I was putting on my transparent night gown.

I shivered, wrapping my arms around my body just to protect myself from the cold but it was useless, the strong wind of the night still found its way on my skin and I ended up being covered with nothing but Goosebumps.

"Shit!" I muttered as I bit my lower lip in frustration. I need to get the hell out of here before I die from the cold. With each step I took, my body kept shivering, my mind unable to be at rest making me lose focus.

Suddenly, I saw a bright light not far away from me, I took some steps closer only to realize that indeed, there is a small house not far from where I stood, the light emitting from a nearby window.

At the sight of it, deep hope arose in me,I hastened my step and began to walk towards it, whoever that occupies it might be willing to help me find my way back to the pack.

As I got closer, I heard voices, it sounded like more than two people were discussing, their voices emitting from the small house.

I got closer to it but found no door which was very strange, all I needed was direction to find my way back to the pack. If they don't want to provide me shelter, I perfectly understand and I won't persuade them to do so but seeing how strange the whole situation was, I walked towards the window where the light was emitting from.

As I got closer,I realized that the voices were that of a man and a woman. Confused, I stood next to the window afraid to take a peek. I didn't make a sound at all and breathed softly, my body overwhelmed with deep curiosity.

"We shouldn't have let her escape" I heard the voice of a man.

"No, that was the only solution" another man spoke, his voice harder than the other.

"You are wrong, we made a grave mistake, this indeed will bring forth nothing but a great war. I can see it,this is a very bad mistake on our path and I hope that our past doesn't hunt us" the first voice which spoke countered sternly.

"Enough!" The woman's voice rang out accompanied by total silence.

"You two are just flattering fools, nothing else!"

For a moment, no one said a word,as an eavesdrop,I badly wanted to have a peek but the fear that gripped me was harder than anything I have ever felt before.

"Alissia" I heard the woman muttering suddenly.

My eyes shone in fear, this is the same name the man who attacked me spoke out.

I couldn't hold back the curiosity that gripped me, I peeked through the window and right before me were two men and a woman seated around a wooden table. They had their thoughts so far away from the present that none of them seemed to notice my presence.

"Alissia" I heard the woman muttering, there was a fury look buried in her eyes, they spoke of nothing but deep anger, her mind thrown into a state of deep thoughts.

"I won't let her escape just like that, we need to find her and get her out of the way before the final strike. Her powers are yet to be revealed, so, this is the perfect time to have her killed before it's too late.

Both men nodded, got on their feet and right before me, they transformed into fiery werewolves, their red eyes glowed in the dark.

Seeing their eyes, deep fear subdued me and I let out a loud gasp which quickly attracted them.

"Someone is watching!" One of the werewolves spoke out. Quickly, they gazed at the window but I was fast enough to dash out and begin to run as fast as my legs could take me into the woods.

I panted heavily running nonstop, I didn't even dare to look back, the fear of having three werewolves running after me was the last string that enlightened the fear in me.

My heart raced heavily as I ran. Soon enough, I got back into the woods, far away from the house. After realizing how far I was,I stopped panting heavily, my right hand placed on my chest with my eyes scanning around non stop.

Who are these people?

Who is Alissia?

Why do they want to kill her?

The whole story wasn't clear to me at all. Instead, I was far more confused than I have ever been before.

My head began to spin and I lost my whole strength making me fall heavily to the ground. A sharp pain pierced through my chest, with a loud cry, I tried to hold the pain but instead, blood began to flow down my face from my forehead. I couldn't tell why I was bleeding but I knew I was about to go blank, my eyes tightly closed.

"Melissa" I heard a soft voice call me.

I tightened my gaze the more.

"Melissa" the voice card softly again, this time, I felt a soft touch on my face which really softened my nerves.

Slowly,I opened my eyes and to my surprise, starting right back to my face was Anabelle with a worried expression plastered on my face.

"Melissa, are you alright?" I heard her ask but at that moment, I was unable to speak, the image of the werewolves and the woman deep in the woods kept flashing nonstop.
