Chapter Two Hundred and Seventy Five.
Meera’s chest heaved as her wide eyes darted from Shaurya’s gun aimed at Arjun, his every muscle wired but hesitant.
She knew why.
Because one wrong move could mean losing her.
Her gaze locked with Arjun’s across the room again..those burning eyes fixed on her, not the barrel of the gun pointed his way.
Just her.
Meera inhaled sharply, trembling but resolute.
"I better take any chance I get…"
Before Shaurya could even sense it, she snapped her head forward and then swung it back with all her strength.
The back of her skull cracked hard into his nose and jaw. She felt the ache kicking in, but she didn't loose guard.
Shaurya let out a guttural groan, his grip faltering instantly. Blood gushed from his nose, his hand fumbling as the gun slipped.
Meera didn’t hesitate. With a sharp jab of her elbow, she shoved herself free, knocking the weapon from his hand.
It clattered to the ground, and in one swift motion, she bent, snatched it up, and spun around with it clutched in both trembling hands.
Her chest rose and fell rapidly, her eyes blazing now, not with fear, but with defiance.
Arjun froze for a heartbeat, his stunned gaze flicking between his wife and the gun in her hands.
He stepped to her in a rush, pulling her into his arms.
“Meera…” his voice was hoarse as he cupped her cheek, his thumb brushing away the streaks of dried tears. “Are you okay?”
She nodded, breathless, her lip quivering, but when her eyes lifted to his, there was a flash of pride, almost relief, before the steel returned.
Her gaze shot past him, to where Shaurya now crouched against the desk, wiping the blood from his face. His eyes, red with fury, lifted and locked on them.
Meera’s grip tightened on the gun, her knuckles white. Arjun instinctively shifted forward, half shielding her with his body. Still, she didn’t lower the weapon.
“I love you so much, Meera..” Shaurya rasped, blood still streaking his lips.
Meera’s chest heaved, anger erupting. “Stop! Stop this madness, Shaurya! Love? Love?!” her voice cracked through the room, fiercely “You kidnapped me from my wedding. You’ve stalked me, tormented me, threatened to kill the man I love..my husband, MY ARJUN! You call this love? No. It’s obsession. It’s sick! You Fucking Psycho!”
Arjun eyes widened at her word, Meera never cuss! Never!
But pride burned in his eyes as he glanced at her, his wife standing like a warrior, fury trembling in her hands.
“You have one minute..” Meera spat, raising the gun higher, “One minute to leave this place and let us go. Or I swear I’ll pull this trigger.”
The words stunned Arjun, his chest tightening with both surprise and admiration. She was shaking, terrified, but her voice didn’t falter once.
Shaurya’s expression twisted, his jaw clenching so hard it looked ready to shatter.
His wild eyes flicked between them, between the gun and the unwavering conviction in her tone.
Finally, his lips curled, blood staining his teeth as he hissed: “If I can’t have you… no one will.”
Before either of them could move, Shaurya bolted. He shoved past the door, vanishing into the corridor.
Meera’s eyes widened, stunned, the weight of the gun still heavy in her hands.
Arjun pulled her close steadying her trembling arms before gently lowering the weapon.
For a beat, the world was silent except for her ragged breathing.
Arjun’s hand slid to the back of her head, pulling her into him with a grip of relief.
He pressed his forehead to hers, his whisper rough against her lips. “God, Meera… how did you do that? How the hell did you fight like that or even hold a gun? And cussing???”
Her throat bobbed, her voice barely a whisper. “I… I just... you know, adrenaline??..” she lied
His lips brushed her temple, his voice hoarse, “You were so damn hot as a boss. I’m the luckiest man alive.”
Despite herself, a shaky laugh slipped from her lips, but her urgency returned quickly. “Arjun… we need to get out of here.”
He nodded firmly, then both their eyes fell to Suhana, who was slumped against the wall where Arjun had restrained her.
Her breathing was shallow, her eyes fluttering, still dazed from the struggle.
“You really hit her hard, But we can’t leave her here..” Meera whispered..
Arjun opened his mouth to reply..
But the ground beneath them shook violently.
BOOM!
A deafening explosion roared through the house, the walls rattling, glass shattering as the shockwave rocked the room. Dust and smoke filled the air, choking their lungs.
Meera clutched Arjun’s arm, her eyes wide in horror. “Shaurya…”
Arjun’s jaw hardened. “That bastard, he set charges.”
He gripped her hand tightly, pulling her close. “We need to leave. Now.”
She nodded, her heart thundering as they moved to the door together, the gun still clutched in her hand, the echo of fire and destruction following them as they ran out..
Suhana groaned weakly as her lashes fluttered open, the acrid smell of smoke stinging her nose.
Her head pounded, vision blurring but she forced herself upright. Staggering against the wall, she clutched her ribs and pushed forward, her feet wobbling beneath her.
Every nerve screamed for her to collapse, but she dragged herself toward the door, her mind fixed on survival.

Downstairs, hell had broken loose.
The grand hall, was now an inferno of shattered marble and flames licking up the curtains.
Bullets cracked like lightning in the air.
And in the middle of it all, Varun stood like his title, a machine of rage and precision.
His eyes were bloodshot, his jaw clenched as his machine gun roared without pause, mowing down every man Shaurya had left.
Blood spattered across his shirt, streaking his arms, his boots splashing through pools of it as he advanced step by step.
His body was a canvas of cuts and bruises, but his movements never slowed down.
Every burst of gunfire made his veins bulge, his teeth grit tighter.
He wasn’t just fighting, he was devouring the battlefield, one body at a time.
“VARUN!” Karan’s voice cut through the chaos. He was waving his men forward, herding them through the broken entryway as chunks of ceiling rained down.
Smoke stung his eyes. “Move out! Get OUT!”
Varun swung his head, breathing like a beast as his eyes met Karan’s.
“The place is falling apart!” Karan shouted, ducking as bullets whizzed past. “We need to move out now!”
Varun’s chest heaved, sweat dripping down his temple, but he gave a single, curt nod.
His voice was rough as gravel when he finally spoke...“Where’s Arjun?”
Karan’s glance shot toward Vikram, who was already barking orders at two men dragging the wounded.
“We’ll go look for them...” Karan started.
But Varun cut him off.. “No. You head out. I’ll find them.”
There was no room for argument. Without waiting for a reply, Varun spun, boots thudding hard against the blood-soaked marble as he pushed forward.
Karan and Vikram exchanged a tense look.
“GET OUT!” Karan roared again, forcing their men toward the exit.
