Chapter 12 the Findings
Just as we got in bed everyone texted to let us know that they made it home safe. We figured we would start on the research in the morning. When we looked at the dates and figure out the time when everyone said they received the notes we could come up with that there are four hunters in town maybe more. So now trying to figure out who the hunters are will be the new problem now. We know that will take us some time to find out and hope we can find out more about Russell.
“Adam you need to get rest. You have been through a lot in the last couple of days.”
“I’m fine I need to be with you and I will be great.”
“I blushed and kissed on his soft lips. I would take a shower before I head to the cafe and wanted to make sure you would be ok when I leave.”
Then I walked towards my bedroom and got ready for my shower. Next thing I knew Adam was in the bathroom and helping me gets undress. So, I returned the favor and helped him get undress and I was trying to be gentle with him.
“You don’t have to be that gentle with me I will not break, and I am almost back to normal.”
I had to laugh, and I turned the hot water on so we could get in.
“I never said you were fragile. I wanted to take care of you and show you I cared.”
“I know you care, but I’m the one that should take care of you and keep you safe. Let’s hope we get news tomorrow, so we can decide what we will do next.”
We went to the café met up with Adam's brothers Sam, Jake, and the crew. Sam has informed me he got news back on Russell.
“Well, you won’t believe what I found on your friend Russell.”
“Can’t wait to hear it then.”
And we will shock everyone to hear the news. We got everyone together so Sam could tell us what he found out.
“Russell is a troll and I am not sure what type yet. I’m still trying to find out what type of troll he could be. Right now Russell does not understand we know not to troll blood runs in his family.”
“So what about Shea? Is she anything or just normal? Is she going to be okay with having Russell as a boyfriend? Knowing he is a troll and we all know there are a lot of trolls out there that are not fantastic.”
Dillion was wondering.
“I would say since they were dating for a while and he has done nothing to her that show her he cares an awful lot about her. I would say for now she is safe. Plus, I don’t think she needs to know.”
“Then we will worry more when we find out what type of troll he is.”
“We don’t want to jump to any conclusions and make anyone feels they are not safe with us. We have worse things to worry about like the hunters and who they are.”
“Your right Kenzie. I have to agree with you said ShaSha. Theirs is still so much yet we still have to find out. At least we know he’s another creature that may go to get hurt by the hunters if they find out. Eventually, we will have to talk to Russell and let him know that we know he is a troll.”
“How should we go about to have that conversation with Russell will be hard? We will have to find an easy way to do this. He may not even know that he has troll blood.”
Dillion had everyone thinking with what he said.
“Everyone I got a text and you’ll never guess who it’s from.”
“Stop holding everyone up Haven. Let’s hear it,” said, Sami.
“You are so not funny. I will tell you,” Haven explained.
“I got a text from my half-sister. She says she can help with letting us know who to the hunters may be. She wants to know if she can come to the café and talk to all of us at the same time so I don’t feel uncomfortable around her. What should I do? Do you guys think I should let her come?”
Adam looked straight at Haven.
“Yes, I think it would be best if she comes here to talk with all of us. One it would help you get to know your sister and second, we could tell if she is lying or telling the truth. So yeah let her come in will all talk to her and see if any of us can come up with any ideas what to do with the new information we have.”
An hour so later Haven’s sister shows up at the Café.
“Hello everyone. My name is Kat and I’m Haven’s half-sister.”
“It’s nice to meet you, Kat. Let me introduce you to everyone here. My name is Kenzie and the owner of this Café. This general here is Adam, and he is a vampire and my boyfriend. Next to him is his brothers Sam and his other brother, Jake there also vampires. Then you have Sami, who is a witch and next, you have your sister, Haven. And by her is Trent, Adam's other brothers who are a vampire. Let’s continue on to ShaSha who is a shapeshifter and her husband Dillion, who is a werewolf. They have two children, a girl and a boy who haven’t come into their powers yet and might never. We are a family here and stick together through thick and thin. We have humans that work here that don’t know about any of this. We would like to keep it that way if we can. You know I am not a vampire, werewolf or shifter, witch or anything else. But I long to be a vampire and I think it’s my choice and nobody else can make that for me, not the hunters or Adam. So any information you have about the hunters who are threatening me and my friends. I hope you going, to be honest, and give us the information we need to protect ourselves. With all that said please make yourself at home. Now that this is getting started and the introductions are through and I have said some of my peace to you. Why don’t you tell us why you are really here and what information you have for us?”
“I see you are straight to the point type of person.”
“That she is,” Haven stated with an amused look on her face.
“I appreciate you all being willing to let me come and have a chat with my sister and all of you. I don’t want to see my sister hurt even if I haven’t had the chance to grow up with her. I don’t blame her for having a life she has with all of you and with our mother. I do not blame our mother for leaving the life she once had. In some ways, I blame my father for taking me away from my mother. So maybe I could have had a better life the one like my sister has and not the one I have. So in some ways, I’m hoping this will be a peace offering to my sister and my mother I never got to know. In some ways, I’m jealous of the life my sister has that I did not. She got to grow up in a loving home and to make her choices. She gets to have friends she can count on and trust, I have never known that feeling. So I will do my best to help in any way I can because I will put my life on the line which is what I’m doing when I come here and talk to you about the hunters. If you try to hurt me or my sister. So far, I can see that you all care for my sister deeply but make no mistake I will kill you if you hurt my sister. I have seen your kind hurt others because of rage or other things involved. Now that that’s said, and I have stated my feelings. I will do my best to help give you the information I have.”
“Well, I have one thing to say to you. I never want to hear you talk to my friends like that again.”
Haven said with a glare towards her half-sister.
“Fine, I understand where you are coming from Haven. There are six hunters here in this town looking for all of you. And though I am here. They know about my sister and where she comes from. They know that she is only half hunters bled in her. I do not know how they found out about her. I know that they know about her. Because our mother comes from the top of our hunter's bloodline. My father bloodline was second in line after my mother. So I know my sister will be strong and fast, and dazzling once she learns to harness the power she has of being a Hunter. I will help her in that way to train and develop her power as a Hunter. What she does without power as a Hunter, either to hunt your kind out and destroy them or hunt the hunters that are hunting her friends. Either way, she chooses. I will be there by her side. Now the six hunters are after all of you are very strong, quick. At about six you would say to them are dominant and would be the leaders of the groups. Then you would kind of break it down into the lowest and on the pole kind of like a wolf pack in a way. The leader of this group is the one my father has been my husband and his name is Brett. I did not choose Brett and I do not choose Brett as my husband or my mate whatever you want to call him. Brett wants me to gain power and to be the leader of all hunters. I am nothing but a stepping stone for him. That he is the first command of this group and then you have a second in command, which is his friend Ian. Both are very strong, quick and smart. Third, in line would be Alex. He’s fast smarts he is not power hungry. Alex would be the one you could talk to. If you can get him away from Brett and Ian. Not sure who the other three are but I’m trying to find out for you all. With the other three, they will not be as strong as the top three they’re more followers in the group right now have not developed their powers as having hunting skills as hunters. Right now that’s all I know that some information I can give you here is my number if you need to get a hold of me about anything at all. Questions or anything. I know you’re finding it hard to trust me. I will try to show you-you can trust me. I find it hard to trust something it has not taught me to kill all my life. But I see how you are with my sister and even now we are not close yet, which I hope will change I can tell you’re not all bad, which makes me think that all my life has not been being truthful or lead the way it should’ve been. In some ways, this is a chance for me to redeem myself. I just want that chance.”
“Well, I can tell that you’re not lying and that you’re scared and frightened. And I know this cannot be easy for any of us and it will take time between you and Haven. I am thankful for your help with all the information you have given us. And let me say we have no intention on hurting you or Haven since she is part of our family and friends. We will trust you and the information you are giving us for now. But if any of feeling you are lying or trying to betray us. We will take you out. We will not have you put Haven in the middle of this. We will not allow her to get hurt by you. I would like to do a blood test on you to just to make sure you two are truly sisters. That way there are no doubts to anyone you are who you say you are,” Adam just said flatly.
“I kind of figured you would ask me something like that. So I brought you a copy of my birth certificate. I didn’t want there to be any doubts.” said Kat.
“No offense but anyone can forge a birth certificate,” said Sam.
“But a blood test is hard to fake or to screw up,” said Trent.
“If you too would like to meet back at Kenzie’s home. Sam and Trent can do the blood test and determine if you two are really sisters.”
“No one forced you to do this but I know you both have concerns. Both feel you have lied to us and not told everything to. This just helps with the information. And some of those concerns.” said Adam.
“are you my true sister as you see you are? If this is the only way, I can be certain then I want the blood test done,” said Haven.
“Fine, I will do the damn blood test,” Kat said while rolling her eyes.
“Let’s get something to eat and get this place open and ready for business. I will not make any money sitting around and watching you guys still collect a paycheck from me.”
They all laughed and went to work.
