Chapter 76 CHAPTER 76

Chapter 76 CHAPTER 76
Instead of panicking with me, Zade was licking his fucking fingers as though he had all the time in the world to hide the fact that he just made me cum in the library.

Oh my goodness, how was I going to defend this?

“It's just my pesky, annoying sister, don't worry,” he finally replied, “what do you want, Amara?”

“For some reason, Mother thinks – Wait a minute, Zade Lennox Erminghton! Did you bring someone in here to…”

My cheeks flamed red, she wasn't here yet but she was close by.

Jumping off the couch, I looked for my panties but remembered Zade had pocketed them.

I wasn't about to wait around to get discovered so I got up off the couch and began looking around for a way to disappear into thin air.

If only I had such useful magic.

“What are you looking for love?” He asked me, his voice tender.

“I need to go before she gets here!”

“Oh,” he muttered, his mood falling, “I was hoping to introduce you both.”

“Well, you should have thought about that before plunging your fingers in my pussy. I'm not meeting your sister looking like this!”

“Zadeee?” Her sing-song voice came again, closer than before, “I'm gonna find youuu.”

“Fuck off Amara, let me have a moment’s rest, will you?”

“Nope. The last time I did that, you nearly followed your dragon to the other side.”

My eyes widened at the revelation.

“Come this way then,” he said, taking my hand and quickly walking further into the forbidden part of the library.

“Oh,” I gasped as we came to a wall of windows. It was like an entirely different part of the library.

Magical.

“You won't injure yourself, don't worry. The ground is enchanted,” he said as he pulled the window open for me.

“Thank you,” I whispered and headed towards it, his sister’s voice increasing my nerves. “I'll see you later?”

“I'll be waiting,” he sent me one final smile before moving back.

I turned towards the other side and I jumped.

Since it was the down floor, I landed quite neatly as he'd said on the ground and I took the back.

I wasn't risking being discovered by the lady, I didn't know I had more to be scared of regarding being discovered.

By the students? Yes, lots of trouble but by someone in his life?

It'll solidify our relationship.

I'll be his, in private and public.

Blotting out whatever I have with Principal Draco.

I'm such a terrible person, gosh!

Probably why the universe is punishing me right now because where the fuck am I?

The realisation pulled me out of whatever mind travel I was doing and back to a harsh reality.

I wanted to pass through the back, circle around and get back to the hostel, no, the bathing pools first because I smelled of Zade and my own orgasm mixed together. No way I'll be able to deny anything.

But I realised that this path didn't lead back to the front.

In fact, the path just stretched on to where I definitely wasn't ready to discover.

So I used whatever brain cells I had left and turned around.

A shiver ran through me as I began walking back, like a misplaced chill considering how hot the evening was.

Consequence of having two suns.

The shiver came again, this time, the part of my body holding the ‘Chi’ everyone raves about here shaking more than everywhere else.

I paused and took a look at my hand, wondering what the hell was happening.

Nothing seemed amiss, just the part of my flesh Dr quack and heartless took a chunk of.

Deciding to head back, I looked back at the road.

Only to discover something in my path

A round stone that wasn't there earlier when I passed.

And no, it was not a stone, from the way it was moving, shimmering unto itself like it was a liquid matter yet staying in one spot like a stone.

My heart rate increased.

I took a step towards the right while immediately reaching for Styx's calling stone.

But I never got the chance to rub it.

Before the stone lunged, covering my face and reality with darkness.

I screamed.

Or at least I tried to.

But the sound died in my throat, swallowed by whatever this thing was. It felt alive, wet, pulsing, and hungry as it wrapped around my head like a second skin.

Squeezing as if it was trying to sink into my skull.

Panic filled my entire system.

I clawed at it, my nails scraping against something slick and rubbery, but it wouldn't budge. It was spreading, oozing down my neck, over my shoulders, tightening like a parasite burrowing into its host.

I tried to scream again but every part of me that was covered by it was out of my control.

I couldn't move my lips, mouth or nose, yet I wasn't suffocating.

The more I fought, the wider it spread till half of my body was submerged in that cold feeling.

Then the pain started.

Not physical pain, no, something worse.

A pulling sensation deep in my arm, right where my Chi lived.

It was like something had hooked into the core of me and was draining it out through a straw.

My knees buckled.

The world tilted, and I hit the ground hard, my hands slapping against dirt that felt wrong—too soft, too cold, like it was rotting beneath me.

What is this thing? What's happening?

I tried to scream again. Tried to call for help. Tried to activate the calling stone still clutched uselessly in my fist.

Nothing was happening.

It was like having Baldwin on the other side with a gun pointed at my face again, only this time, I couldn't DO anything.

The thing covering my body pulsed, and another wave of draining cold swept through me.

Realisation hit like a ton of bricks. My Chi—the power I'd just started to understand, the fire that had been growing inside me—was being sucked out.

I could feel it leaving. Could feel myself getting weaker, colder, emptier.

No. No, no, no…

My vision was going dark. Not from the thing covering my eyes, but from the inside out. Like someone was dimming a light I didn't know I had.

As if that wasn't enough calamity, I began to feel the earth move underneath me.

Like I was suddenly in quicksand.

Soon, the ground beneath me wasn't ground anymore. It was... nothing. Void. An absence of everything.

I was falling.

Not physically, I knew my body was still on the path somehow but something was being pulled down, down, down into a place that shouldn't exist.

A portal, I knew because the sensation was exactly the same as when I came here.

Suddenly, I knew exactly what was happening to me. Not understood, but I knew.

The word came from nowhere and everywhere at once. Zade's voice in my memory: "The leech pulls you into a portal between our world and theirs."

This is a leech.

Oh my goodness!

Is this how I die? After everything I fought to stay alive?

It's not even a dragon kin thing but a freaking face demon… thing!

Panic exploded in my chest, and I thrashed harder, clawing at the thing, kicking, screaming soundlessly into the void it was dragging me toward.

But it was too strong.

Slowly, I lost my will to fight and the next second, when I realised it had won somehow, the real torture began
