Chapter 102 CHAPTER 102
Florian dropped me off at my hostel and this time, I didn't care that people were staring and talking.
Once I do what I plan, I'm leaving here so I don't get killed by his father.
When I got inside, the girls were already in bed but not asleep yet.
“I knew something was wrong,” Mira rushed towards me and to my shock, engulfed me in a hug.
“Sorry my body still hurts,” I whispered, pulling back.
“I'm so sorry, what happened?”
“Let her rest before you start hounding her for details Mira,” Akua cautioned her friend.
“No it's okay,” I sighed as I got to my bed, “Kovar poisoned my food, or water, oor something. I don't know. But I need to go sleep in… his house,” I caught myself before the slip-up, “I don't feel safe anywhere.”
“I hear you girl,” Erin breathed, “Kovar is taking this too far.”
“Too far? The girl said he was about to kill her before someone stopped him. He's literally trying to kill her. What universe are we in that this is just… okay?” Mira snapped.
“One where the voice of a girl who fell from the sky is nothing compared to that of the son of Lord Taiwen,” Akua grunted. “There's nothing she can do but let this man that she's hiding so much keep her safe.”
“I think I know what we can do to help,” Erin said as I finish parking my bag.
“What is that?”
“Think about it Mira, what is needed is evidence. We just have to find a way to catch him in the act.”
I tuned them out because none of this made any sense.
Master Torrin literally saw him try that first time and everyone said it was normal.
The only evidence to hold him accountable will be my dead body.
I'm not letting that happen.
“Shouldn't we go with you at least halfway to the place?” Erin's voice pierced my thoughts.
“It's not far actually,” I answered, I would have just gone to sleep, I don't have the energy to walk for too long anyway.”
“Alright then, we'll see you in the morning.”
I nodded and left, my heart heavy and my body tense from recovery.
If I hadn't gone to the Healer's house this evening, maybe I would have been dead by now. It scared me how many times I've been at death's door, just because of this guy and everyone is just cool with it.
Master Florian even joined them in blaming me for not being strong enough. Only Zade saw me, listened to me and rescued me when it felt like all hope was lost.
I quickly found my way to his beautiful house and knocked.
It took a couple more knocks before he slowly opened the door.
When he saw me, he opened it wider.
“Sunshine,” he whispered before engulfing me in a tight hug, “I've missed you so much.”
“I've missed you too.”
“I have been trying to get closer to Draco so I can get into his house and I didn't check up on you. I'm really sorry.”
“It's fine, I'm here now.”
He pulled back and looked me over, searching for something.
“Yes, I got poisoned by Kovar but I'm fine now, no need to keep looking for what's amiss, okay?”
“You.. he what?!”
“Don't worry, I've hatched a plan with Master Florian to take care of him. Just help me keep to your own end of the bargain and ensure my exit from here.”
“Wait, you plan to kill him?”
“Nice of you to whisper baby but isn't it better if we discussed this murder plot IN your house?”
“I'm sorry, I got caught up, come inside our house. I told you you can come here anytime you want.”
“Except I'm not ready to tell my friends who you are yet, I'm keeping so much away from them at this point.”
“Why do you think that is?” He asked, shutting his door firmly.
“Honestly, I haven't had much of friends all my life and I'm just… scared. “
“I understand how you feel. Draco has pointed out how weird it is that I'm suddenly hanging out at his office and talking about going for drinks. I'm surprised too, when did I start drinking?”
I looked at him as he spoke, the way his eyes lit up, his aura and energy, his beauty and manly nature…
“I love you,” I whispered, “so much.”
“Baby girl,” he whispered in that thick voice, “I love you too and I hate that this is happening and that our hands are tied. That bastard thinks because I stopped him from physically killing you, that he can succeed by using poison?”
“I'll give it to him, he's creative. I'm really tired, I will head to bed.”
“When was the last time you ate anything?”
“It doesn't even matter, I expunged everything in Eruwan's house. But I'm not hungry.”
“I know you are scared of taking anything in right now but I have packaged snacks. Just so you don't pass out while sleeping. I'll feed it to you too just in case the poison is in your hands or something.”
“Haha. Funny,” I stuck out my tongue at him before heading to the bedroom.
He packed a bunch of my favourites, some of which he'd introduced me to while we hung out at the library and he did as he said, feeding me until I was full.
I showered and put on the nightdress I'd packed.
“Baby, I thought we weren't supposed to… do anything.”
I turned to see Zade standing at the door, his eyes roaming all over my body.
“Yes, you're right about that. I just escaped death. Come let's sleep, I just want to be cuddled.”
“But you look so edible,” he sighed like a cute puppy, walking towards me.
“You cute cannibal,” I chuckled and it exploded into laughter when he picked me off the ground and threw me up. “Zade!”
“Alright alright, I'll tame my cock.”
“Good boy.”
He laid me on the bed and before I could turn, he pushed my nightgown up.
“I didn't say anything about my throat,” he chuckled as his tongue swiped from my clit down to my entrance.
All protests fizzled out of my body, as well as the stress of the hectic day I've just had.
