Chapter 81 81
At the very end, I melted into his arms…and soon, I was groaning, my arms wrapped around his neck while he kept thrusting his member deeper into my cunt. The more I tried to remind my body that we shouldn't be responding to his touch this way, it was as though my body had a mind of its own.
I couldn't even believe myself when I was reaching close and kept moaning for more, my legs tightened around his waist. I pressed my face against his neck, taking deep swallows to hold myself from screaming out in pleasure. “Oh yes, just take me whole, please. I want more, I want more…" I cried out amid gritted teeth, my whole body quivering and stuck against his.
In the next hour, I was lying on his bed, staring at the roof while thinking about my life. He was going through the scrolls brought to him, and I watched his back.
How could what I heard that day be true? He doesn't look like he would do such a thing.
What if I were bewitched to hear things that would make me detest him? Even Orrifin doesn't look like he ever had such a discussion with him.
The way he looks at me, how beautiful his eyes are once he starts admiring me, the way he takes my lips into a kiss, suckling like I was his only hope to survive…so after all these, he would have the mind to watch me go cold to the afterlife?
What even happened to me that day hadn't repeated. River believed it was my power since they had awakened previously, so no doubt. But I really wanted to be told that I heard wrong.
Regardless of how much I had just claimed to hate him, I still wanted to have him bury his cock in my damp pussyhole once again. I wanted him to make me climax so long over and over again. I needed my nipples sucked like back in the bathroom, and to feel his harsh, hot breath against my skin.
I watched him as he was so busy, until I dozed off.
When I awakened, he had left the chamber, but there was a written note above my head telling how he would be back in the next three to five days. I recalled how he walked out of the throneroom, holding me tight and how his people made way for us on the day he ended his engagement with Irian. And since then, he'd become more lovely.
He never left a note behind while leaving, and now he did it. Was it a sign that I should get loved for some days left for me? I heard him say he wanted to feel what it meant to have a soulmate.
‘I can't let this keep eating me up. He's savage, and that's the fact. I have to regain my powers, so he doesn't take me unexpectedly.’ I said to myself before dropping back the sheet of paper where I saw it.
Before the end of the day, I met with River and told him how Sovereign left and would take days before he returned.
“Then I will have to use the opportunity. You've been practising what I thought you, right?” he asked, and I nodded. “Wait for me tonight, and don't be scared when I show up before you,” he said, and I nodded before leaving.
___
As River assured me, I didn't know how he did it, but I suddenly found him sitting on the floor of the inner room that I stayed in.
“Come sit before me…” he tapped on the floor, and I hurried there. “Watch me and do whatever I do until I tell you to stop.”
I agreed and curled my legs together first, then twisted my index fingers together, placing them on my thighs. I noticed his lips moving, but I didn't know what he was saying, so I just continued moving my lips like he was doing, until I began noticing the green flames leaving through my fingers.
At first, I was scared, because how it showed up was something I didn't expect.
Was he calling up my powers?
I watched as he raised his index and middle finger to his forehead, "Don't do that…” he said quickly, and I nodded. And when I thought I'd seen it all, he diverted his fingers to face me, until they touched my forehead too.
That instant, my body system changed. I didn't even realise how tight my eyes were shut and how I was sweating until I collapsed on the floor and woke up after a few minutes.
He helped me to sit tight again, and we started afresh. I was feeling energised, as though something was awakening in me.
“Your power lies in your finger. So you could twist someone's neck if you twist your finger, shove them aside to where you shoved your finger and so on,” he said, still with his eyes shut tight.
He repeated what he'd been doing seven times before I felt something burn on my forehead, and my shoulders dropped in tiredness.
“I have just used my years of cultivation to restore your powers because you need them at this point more than I. So use it well,” he said to me as advice.
How could he lose his powers for my sake? That wasn't acceptable.
“River, you can take back your powers.”
“I didn't give you my powers. I only awakened yours with mine, and I could cultivate them all back again.”
But this time, he didn't let me speak and just vanished from my sight.
I rubbed my eyes and looked around the whole room. “River? Where did you go? What's going on? Wasn't it River? He couldn't be dead…” I had never experienced such a thing.
How could he leave like a ghost? Now I understood why I was shocked at how he showed up, because if he teleported or flitted into this place, I was supposed to feel the breeze he walked with.
“River, please be safe. Don't leave me after all my efforts to see that you survived and stayed with me. You're the only family I have, so please don't leave me, okay?" I kept talking to myself, just oblivious if I was losing my senses or not.
It was midnight, so I couldn't leave, or it would be suspicious.
After a long time thinking about him, I decided to practise my powers and see how it goes. I tried lifting my clothes from the chair that I had placed them on, but as I raised my finger, nothing happened.
I tried it so many times before I came up with an idea.
‘We think of something before putting it into action. So it means that I should first think of what I want to do and connect such thoughts to my powers so they can take effect.’ I kept nodding as I thought, until I decided to put it into action.
This time, it worked. I watched the green flames leaving through my fingers, and how they stopped when I stopped connecting my mind to it. I raised my clothes from the chair and dropped them on the floor, then placed them back on the chair again.
“Wonderful! But I must be getting used to it and not lose it. How do I do that? Or don't my powers need cultivation?" I pouted for some time and smiled, leaving the room to Sovereign's bed. “River would have mentioned cultivation if I needed it, so I think I didn't need one.”
I lay on the bed and spread my arms.
“Finally, I am no longer a powerless fae. But how long will it take River to reconnect with his powers again? I should go see him about this.”
___
When the sun was setting, I left to go meet River like I planned last night. I was so happy and couldn't wait to tell him how I had practised with my powers and how it all went.
But as I entered the underground, I didn't expect to see my brother being lashed by a Dreadwing General. I stared at first, confused…because I didn't anticipate such, until I rushed closer and wrapped my arms around him, causing the last lash to land on my back, and the pain made my body go stiff for some time.
“Get away from him, fae female. We wouldn't like to disobey the Sovereign,” said one of the men watching.
I didn't get off him, but rather adjusted to see his face, “Why are you doing this? The sovereign must have ordered that you don't punish him.”
He shook his head, “He actually gave the order, because he felt a fae cultivating powers in the realm, and he was the one doing it. No fae has that right, and so this is his penalty.”
“Please…” I begged, because I didn't want this to escalate. “You already whipped him enough, so forgive him. He never knew and won't repeat it.”
“He was warned not to trigger Sovereign's anger, and out of twenty strokes, he only got fifteen. We must make sure he gets it all, or after today, we will start afresh,” the man stated, sounding so mean.
I looked at River, who was covered in his blood. He was so weak and even looked lifeless that he hadn't opened his eyes or moved his lips.
“He might die…
“We don't care!” another snapped beside the man. “Just get away already.”
“Then I will take the remaining for him,” I said, and they refused. “Allow me to take the remaining for him, or I won't let you lash him again.”
My voice was a bit loud, so the General pulled out his dragon rope, and the corner of his eyes darkened.
Was he going to pull me away with that rope?
