Chapter 18 18
My eyelid was very heavy, but I forced it open still, and staring at me was the female dragon that had saved me. At first, my heart skipped a beat as to how shocked I was to suddenly see her face, but then I slowly sat up with her help.
I looked around, and we seemed to be the only ones around. It was also a field, but not even a single person was seen around except us.
“How are you feeling?” the female muttered, drawing back my attention. I gave a single nod, and she smiled, then took my hands into hers. “I'm Perrin, a fire Dragon, and I live in the mountains. I heard that a fae was captured by our Sovereign, but you are weak and more like a human.”
I pressed my lips together because I had nothing to say to her except to show gratitude for saving me. But with the way she stared at me, it seemed she needed more explanation as to why I was weak when I was supposed to have several powers as a fae.
“Where did our Sovereign meet you? Do you know how he was saved from the underground cage?” she asked again, curiosity written boldly on her forehead.
I shook my head and rather lied to her, “He caught me in the woods and captured me because I was a fae. I didn't even know who he was until we arrived in this realm.”
She nodded and took my hand again, “So, what business do you have with a human?”
My brows knitted. The only human I heard a thing about was Ofelia, so did she meet her? I was baffled as to what she was up to. Would she harm her if I claimed to have a thing in common with Ofelia?
“There's a human whom I saw, stranded and weak. I disguised myself and approached her while she was busy reading a map that would lead her to our realm. When I asked if she needed help, she explained how she was after saving her fae friend from the dragon realm. Since you are the only fae here, I thought it was you, and you must know whom I am talking about,” she explained, staring at my pale face.
I wanted to deny it still, but my conscience battled with me. “So, where is the human?”
“Were you expecting me to bring her here? She was still far from the dragon realm, so it would still take days or even weeks, depending on how fast she could be, before she reached here. But if you know her, don't you think her coming is dangerous? I only spared her life because she was a human. What friendship do you have with her that she's risking to be here?” she scoffed and sat on the floor, then continued.
“Do you know what amazed me? She was coming to pay Dragon Sovereign what you owed him, so both of you could leave together. Who told her that money can save you from us?”
If I called Ofelia a stupid friend, then I would be the stupid one here, because neither of us knew the Dragon Sovereign’s motive until she left. But I expected her family to hold her back, or did she lie to them? She must have seen the money I talked about and was thinking it would do.
I sighed and wiped my forehead. This was so difficult to talk about.
Soon, she would be here, and because she was my friend, they would also torment her. I wasn't sure who to even think about. Was it my friend or brother? Both of them were so important to me, and I wouldn't want them to pass through the hell I've been through.
“How bothered are you about her? If you care so much for her, then I could do you a favor…but in exchange for something.” Perrin said to me, and winked.
Of course, Dragons do not grant favors without expecting something in return, or I wouldn't have been here.
I stared at her for some time and then asked, “What is it you want? If it's something I can do, then I would make my wish.”
She cleared her throat and uttered shamelessly, “If you be my intimate friend, I will go after her and have her go back to the human realm, then also protect you here.”
Intimate friend?
I recalled the male dragons mentioning that she had no interest in me. So they knew she was into women and asked that? Why did I feel like it was the actual reason she saved me, because she was drawn to me intimately?
“Fae females are the sweetest when it comes to drilling their pùssy. For that, males of other species are always drawn to your females. Whereas dragon males could offer a lot more than your men. If you have a high sex drive, pick a dragon, and you are good to go.” She explained what I didn't ask for. Who cares what species was good at something?
I shook my head, "I'm not into females, and have no interest in males either. I'm a captive and will soon be pronounced as the Dragon Sovereign’s slave, so what will happen then? People must surely find out that we had something in common, and that could endanger my life.”
She smiled, and her parted lips made her look so beautiful. Her berry eyes were everything, and her red hair was wavy. “In this realm, even the Dragon Sovereign can claim a male before his mate, and nothing will be done. We do not discriminate, so since I'm only drawn to women, I would do my thing freely. Even if you become his slave tomorrow and he finds out, he would likely invite me for a threesome with you.”
May the goddess mother of the fae forbid such a thing. Threesome? What a bunch of idiots in this realm.
“What do you say? I'm not forcing you, but just confessing my feelings. If you reject it, I would still be your friend and save you like today. But, I won't go after your friend, and she will come to this realm and join you,” she stated while standing.
I managed to stand as well and asked her, “Would she be punished like me? The dragons and humans aren't rivals.”
She shrugged her shoulders, “To be honest, I can't tell.”
I bowed to her and replied, "I'm sorry, Perrin. Thank you for saving me, but I'm not attracted to women and can't do this with you.”
Little did I know that she had approached closer, so she raised my jaw with her palm and looked me straight in the eyes. Before I could process it, she pressed her lips against mine hungrily and kissed me twice. “At least, I should have this to sate my hunger for you. If you ever change your mind, I will wait. And I promise to take good care of you, satiate your sexual urges in such a way you have never imagined.”
I felt so dirty and only waited until she turned around before I wiped my lips. Why would she do that? It was so annoying.
“Let's go back to the field before the oath ritual starts,” she announced while standing some feet away from me.
I glanced back and walked behind her. “What do you mean by an oath ritual? Are we going to take an oath?”
She nodded, “Yes! The master will create a dragon flame, and every prisoner is expected to step into it. That's the oath.”
Dragon flame?
My eyes popped wide, and I reached out to her. She halted as I stood before her. “Do you mean that I'm going to get burnt by the flame? Must I do it? Are you also a prisoner?”
“I'm not a prisoner, and yes, you aren't exempted.”
My knees buckled, and I slumped to the floor. Wasn't it the same flame I saw her spit at one of the male dragons? How would I survive it? Could she save me if I accept being her intimate friend?
It couldn't be that she brought me here to not take the oath, and I just rejected her offer. But I really can't do that.
