Chapter 14 14
I dived to the floor of the river and began searching for her, crawling from one end to the other. The fortress is a vast one, and so was the river, so I knew it would take a little time to find her body, but one thing I was actually scared of was finding her corpse.
Her soul would curse me if she were dead, because we didn't agree on this.
I reached the rock where I always rested each time I was down to the river, and there lay her body, hindered from moving by the rock, but so pale as though she had died a long time. I threw my tail towards her body and began curling around her while raising her from the ground.
She wasn't moving. I couldn't feel her breathing. I curled my dragon body around her and then began rising to the surface of the river. My dragon whimpered continuously, simply pained than I was, and I didn't want to wonder what it was about this female that enticed my dragon.
When I reached the water surface, I enabled my wings and flew up to the sky immediately, thereby letting go of her body and then quickly diving under her so she bounced back on my body and lay there. I widened my body so she wouldn't slip since she wasn't awake, and then I flew back to the castle, where I landed and slowly transformed back to my human form.
She lay on the floor, lifeless, when I raised her onto my shoulder and flitted towards my chamber. “Send the physician here,” I ordered one of the guards before twitching into my chamber and then lying her on the floor. We were both wet, but she didn't look like someone who would be revived, but that would be the last news for me to hear.
I checked her pulse, but I felt nothing. Her heart wasn't beating too. She had turned so white, and her lips were dry even though she was down the river.
When tears slipped down my cheek, I couldn't believe myself. How was I sobbing for a fae captive? If she wasn't the one behind my release, I wouldn't have spared her life when we met. So, on what grounds should I develop such emotions for her?
I couldn't be that stupid.
A knock came on the door, and immediately opened, then the physician and Orrifin showed up before me.
The physician rushed to the fae female before I could even explain, and then checked the same pulse that I had checked. He shook his head, but didn't seem to give up, so he began Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and didn't stop until several minutes later.
He turned to me and said, “Sovereign, could you do some mouth-to-mouth resuscitation?”
My lips moved a bit, and I rolled my eyes. I hadn't done that before, but I had watched someone do it, so it had to do with our lips meeting. Wasn't it crossing the line? She would think that I kissed her when she woke up. So I shook my head, “Uhm, it's not right…”
“Then I should do it.” Orrifin approached, and I glared at him.
How dare he?
I turned to the physician again and put up a smile, “I will try…”
He nodded, and then I crouched towards her face and fixed my lips on hers, then began breathing air into her. I did it once, twice, and on the third time, her body moved, so I got away from her.
“She has a very strong spirit, so I doubt that she is that weak,” the physician muttered and took her hand to check her pulse again. He continued the CPR, which led her to throw up the water she had drowned which filled her belly. The floor was soaked with water, but it wasn't as important as her life. “She is awake after how many hours of staying down there. Isn't this a miracle?” the physician turned to me and bowed. “I will administer several medications to her before leaving. Her heartbeat and pulse are back.”
Oh gods, I let out a heavy breath and finally stood on my feet. Although her eyes were still shut, I could see the rise and fall of her chest again.
Indeed, she wasn't entirely weak, or her tears wouldn't have unsealed me from the cage. She was more than they think, which is why she could be useful or harmful to the dragons.
In the next few minutes, the physician was done, so I ordered Orrifin out so I could get out of her body the wet dress. It was something I wasn't sure was right to do, but I feared she would catch a cold if she wore the dress for a long time. As for me, my home was in the water, so it had nothing on me.
Slowly, I loosened the dress and pulled it off her body. My eyes scanned through her body, and I couldn't help but take a deep swallow. Her skin color was returning to normal, but the major thing to talk about was her curves and pùssy.
I craved it. I wanted to touch it. To slide my finger into it and thrust in and out, to stick my tongue on it and suck it dry. I wanted to thrust my còck into her pùssy and pound her harder until she climaxed all over me.
She was irresistible. Her two oranges were succulent, and her pink nipple stared back at me.
I was losing it so much, so I slapped my cheek and blinked. Was I going crazy over her or what? She would look down on me if she found out that I craved her body this way.
Having cautioned myself, I brought one of my robes which I put on her, then laid her on my bed. I stared at her sleeping peacefully, and only wished I could introduce her as my slave so quickly.
‘No! Being my slave doesn't mean I should claim her intimately. Both are different roles.’ I reminded myself and folded my arms. ‘I have to quench this fire so fast before it messes me up. She's going to be my slave, to serve me and not to satiate my sexual urges.’
I nodded and walked down towards the sofa to sit down, then I began hearing the argument in the corridor, before the door was forcefully opened and Irian showed up. Her expression said it all. She must have heard that the fae captive was with me.
Orrifin walked towards me and bowed, “I tried stopping her, but she wouldn't even…
“Why should I let you speak?” Irian scolded, and I even flinched. Her voice was so loud that I feared it would disturb the fae female. “Your Sovereignty," she mentioned, and turned to me. “Was it true? You saved her from the river when your right-hand man should have done that, and now she's lying on your bed, but you wouldn't spend a minute with me. Did you forget our engagement?”
I shook my head. I needed to end that engagement if I could, so she would stop mentioning it.
“If you still respect the engagement and our families, then have Orrifin take her back to her cell because that's where she belongs,” she screeched, and I turned to Orrifin, whose gaze narrowed already.
She was commanding my right-hand man, and Orrifin wasn't a joke.
“Did you forget that I'm higher than you?” Orrifin walked closer to her.
Irian looked him in the face and responded, “And I'm going to be your queen soon, so what can you do about it?”
My dragon growled in me, getting pissed by Irian's actions and speech, but I didn't want to do anything harsh to her.
“If that's the case, then I will remind you now that the fae female is my master's captive and will soon be his slave, so he has every right to save her from the river. And now that she is here, you are not going to be the reason for her to leave.” Orrifin yelled in her face.
Irian scoffed at him and said, “What if I demand that she be my servant? My fiancé is bound to grant my wish….”
“I wouldn't dare!” I chipped in on the matter and made a straight face. “Stop daydreaming.”
“Zaugustus!!!”
Orrifin grabbed her hand and began dragging her towards the door. He pushed her out of the chamber and slammed the door shut, then turned towards me and breathed out.
She kept slamming her fist on the door, and when no one responded, she walked away while murmuring.
“No wonder you aren't fond of her. I can't imagine having someone like her as my mate.” Orrifin sat on the floor and curled her legs.
I heard a whimpering sound, and when I looked towards the bed, it was the fae female trying to stand, so I rushed and helped her sit up. She looked so weak, her gaze locked with mine, while she seemed to be breathing with her mouth.
“Orrifin, have the servants prepare bathing water. She needs to calm herself and regain some strength, so they know what to do.” I ordered, and quickly, Orrifin left the chamber. I ran my finger on her damp hair and whispered to her, "You're going to leave the bathroom open while bathing. I will watch you so you don't collapse there.”
But she shook her head, “No way! I won't!”
I chuckled and leaned closer to her face, "Can't you see that you're changed? I really did it and had seen everything.”
