The Revelation

The room was dark, thick with the scent of cigarette, and faint echo of silence

Bruce paces inside the room, waiting for the unknown as every moment irritated his thought. Those thoughts of having Alexia into Joan's hands pressed upon him like a razor of thousands pounds.

He was not able to fight the thought and feeling for the past few days.

His natural brown hair, broad face were coveted with a mask, but his eyes were dead, ready to kill. He stood close to the mirror, staring at himself just as restless, tasteful for revenge.

“Do you trust then enough?” He growled, still gazing at the mirror.

The other member shook his head, his eyes still fixed on the laptop, though he was scared that it would be more complicated than the usual time.

Bruce had made sure that the class teacher will be uncover no matter what, but what he couldn't understand why she brought herself to a brim light. And as Sonita… he would use her for his pawn game, hiding under her. Though the fragile trust between them were already breaking apart.

“We need to find her…” a knock came at the door, cutting him completely before he could say anything.

“Sir, she's here.” Austin's voice was commanding, though cold and strict with fear and desperation.

Bruce turned to him, blowing out a smoke from his cigarette. “What now?” He said in a mockingly way, anger brewing up so fast.

Austin paused, still behind the doorway, his eyes waiting for a go head to his command. “I need your command sir, everything is already in shape.”

“Bring her in,” he said softly, his head processing alot at the moment. “I want to hear from her. Before we stick to the plan,”

The thought of having a betrayal to toy with was something Bruce would use to light up the atmosphere around him. The torture, fear, everything would be a amusing. He could easily kill her without getting to know her reason, like he did to others.

But this time, he wanted to hear her out, the reason she surpassed the boundaries.

Austin nodded slowly, “yes boss,” his voice urgent. “I ill bring her in.”

“Good,” he smiled, sat on the log of wood placed in the room. “No rules, no mistake. Understood?” He said to the other one in the room, sweating badly as their eyes gazed at each other.

“I don't like when things gets complicated, especially not the way I planned.”

Austin and two other strong men stepped into the room, with a young lady with a blindfolds, her hands tied to the back, bruising all over her body. She was trembling greatly as one could tell she was scared of her life.

They pushed her on the floor, still looking around the room with the blindfolds on her eyes.

“Remove the blindfolds.” He said, sat down on the chair close to her,

The other men men moved, remove the blindfolds from her face, her black eyes descending under the dim light, trying to adjust to the new light while scanning the room.

“Hello pretty one,” Bruce called, his face beaming with smile and frustration.

She freezes the moment her eyes gaze at Bruce as she saw a gun in his hand which pointed directly at her.

“Sir…” her hands clutched at each other, her plump rosy lips gasp open before closing it. She wanted to speak but knew it was better to remain silent.

“Hey, Lizzy… yes it's good that we meet again..” he paused, gazing at her body.  His eyes darted at her bruise on her left cheeks and arm.

“Who touched her?,” his voice commanding, everyone looked at each other, not ready to talk.

“Are you all deaf,” he repeated once more, “Sir… It was a…” one of the men snapped, his voice breaking as his body trembling. Bruce pulled the trigger off straight to his head, the man dropped dead to the ground with pool of blood around his head to the floor.

“Simple instructions. None should touch her.”

“And you, snitch” He raised an eyebrow. “You're not too small for me not to find out about your plans, or are you?” His eyes flicked, dangerous and fierce.

He took a step closer to her like a storm, his voice barely low than ever. “Who do you think you are working for?, I promise to protect you, to keep you safe but you decide to pull out.”

She glared at him, not saying any word, for the moment her eyes depicts fear and anxiety… overwhelmed.

“I'm sorry, I thought you would leave me soon.” She said softly. “Scared of alot.”

He let out a sharp exhalation, running his hand through his brown hair.

“The truth is, Joan found me in my cover. He threatened to take away my life if I don't report to the school about everything. I was under a threat.”

“He knows about the ordeal, was scared of my life. I tried messaging you but…” she paused, biting her lips.

“But what?”, he asked, his voice growling in anger.

She hesitated again. “Your rules”

The word hit him like a heavy object, and for a moment, his heart beats faster against his rib about Joan's findings.

“How much did he offer to expose the truth?” He asked. But she remained quiet, still trembling with fear, looking around.

Brucd moved closer, realizing a tape recorder on her shirt, quickly he pulled it out forcefully and then fired a gun shot on her brain, bursting all over the room.

Everyone in the room was shocked for a moment, trying to process the drama that happened

“What are we going to do?,” Austin demanded, his voice rising in urgency.

"Disposed to the river “ He said, his hands filled with blood. “Let no one find out about this.” though he was scared of the blood spilled all over his hand, also the secret about him being played out by his own brother.

“Bruce,” Austin said, his hand reachev out to him as he stepped closer. “You're not alone in this, everything would be covered. But I need you to trust our team to avoid indecipherable mistakes.”

His word hit like a thunder to Bruce, moved to the window as the weight of his silence spoke volumes in the room.

Few other men stood in the doorway, stepped in, their expression dull of unspoken tension. “They're here.” One of them informed.

Bruce quickly wore  a face mask as they began to wrap off the two bodies lying on the floor in pool of blood.

“We don't have much time left “ Austin said. “We gotta to move before the police comes.”  they all nodded.

Bruce left the room, headed toward the car to attend the meeting of the school. He looked at his watch, seeing that he was late for the appointment.

“Austin, one more thing" he said softly. "Whatever happens, stick close.”

He nodded his head, the car drove hallway to the other side of the road. Still leaving a shadows around him as his heart quickened to the uncertainty of the meeting.
