Chapter 19 Eye Drops

I put my phone aside and after a long time, I finally wiped my tears. Brian said I shouldn't get too emotional right now, that it was not worth risking my life for Henry.

After organizing the materials, I started working on the design draft.

Immersed in work, I didn't feel as sad, and I felt much more energized.

For now, I didn't need to worry about money, and my post-surgery recovery was going well. Everything was slowly getting better, and the future looked promising.

After drawing for several hours, I finally finished the initial draft.

I sent the initial draft to Quinn for review. She was very satisfied but mentioned a few details that needed to be revised.

I carefully studied the details Quinn pointed out but couldn't find any inspiration.

I thought about it until midnight but still had no ideas.

I glanced at the time; it was already past twelve. If I didn't sleep soon, Brian would scold me again tomorrow, but I didn't feel sleepy at all.

As I was debating whether to force myself to sleep, I heard a knock on the door. "Come in."

When the door was opened, it was Brian's face that greeted me.

For some reason, being stared at by him made me feel a bit panicked, like I had been caught doing something wrong.

"Still awake?" He walked in and stood by my bed, raising his well-shaped eyebrows slightly.

My heart was pounding. "I'm about to sleep."

I hurriedly started tidying up the things on my bed. The design drafts and various materials were scattered all over, making a mess.

Brian bent down to help me clean up and sighed. I could hear a hint of helplessness in his sigh. "If you keep neglecting your health like this, not even God can save you."

I said a bit guiltily, "I know. I'll be more careful from now on."

Brian glanced at me with a somewhat meaningful expression. "You've promised me that many times before."

I smiled awkwardly, not knowing what to say. He neatly folded the design drafts and organized the materials.

Brian said, "I have something to do tomorrow and might come back late, so I came to check on your health first."

After the check-up, Brian looked serious, making me nervous. I asked, "Dr. Scott, is there something wrong with my health?"

"Did you cry today?" Brian stared at my face.

I looked away uncomfortably and touched my face. "You can diagnose that too?"

"The impact of emotions on the body can sometimes be greater than that of medication. Remember, maintaining a good mood is also part of the treatment." As he spoke, he took out a box of eye drops from his pocket and handed it to me. "Use this; it can relieve eye fatigue."

I accepted it with a smile, "Dr. Scott, you really are dedicated, even carrying eye drops with you."

I looked up and noticed that Brian's earlobes were a bit red.

He cleared his throat and said awkwardly, "I am responsible for every patient. I have other matters to attend to, so I'll leave now. Get some rest."

Was he embarrassed? I didn't say anything. I used the eye drops, which were very gentle and not irritating at all.

I looked up the brand online and ordered two bottles, which would arrive tomorrow.
