Epilogue
A year and a big wedding later…
"Honey, I'm home." Raph dropped a kiss on his wife's head, and she shooed him away, typing furiously on her phone.
"Did you repair my laptop? Working from my phone's a bitch."
He sat on the couch next to her and nuzzled her shoulder.
"Sometimes I think you married me for my laptop-repairing skills."
She snorted, turning to face him and hooking one arm around his neck.
"Why else do you think I married you? "
"Because you're hopelessly in love with me."
"That's true. But mainly for the laptop skills." She kissed him, a chaste one that left him wanting more. But then, everything about Legend made him want more.
They'd been married for almost a year now, and Raph could say that he was falling more in love with his feisty wife every day.
And he wasn't alone in this. She was all the way in with him, too, like she'd promised when they exchanged vows in front of his family and a whole lot of people he didn't even know, with her bridesmaid and new business partner Cherise honking into a tissue.
"How's the comic coming along?"
"Fine. I think I'll make it a cliffhanger and leave the fans writhing in agony," she cackled. Yup, he'd married an evil one, that was for sure.
He handed her her laptop and she kissed him again before she saw what was on it.
"OMG, is that a Shakira sticker?!"
"Yup, and I got it personally signed for you."
She launched herself at him, peppering kisses all over his face.
People lived for different types of moments.
But he lived only for this type of moment: his one true love with a smile on her face.
The smile he'd put there.
And he hoped to continue putting there every day for the rest of their lives.
