Chapter 56 Picking Up at the Airport

Chapter 56 Picking Up at the Airport

Finn froze for a moment, then understood James's intention.

He had long heard that James was very protective of Caroline.

It seemed James wanted Caroline to rely on her own abilities to support the Collins family and establish a solid foothold there.

Finn quickly nodded, his tone respectful.

"Understood! Mr. Anderson, I'll make sure it's done. For this bidding project, I'll have my people fully cooperate with Ms. Collins to ensure she wins the bid successfully."

James nodded slightly,

"Good. Also, the bidding will be held publicly as normal, and the results will be announced a week later."

Finn was somewhat surprised,

"Mr. Anderson, why is that?"

James raised an eyebrow, a glint flashing in his eyes.

"Just do as I say."

Hearing James say this, Finn understood and nodded,

"Got it! Mr. Anderson, I'll do as you say."

Finn quickly agreed.

After chatting for a while longer, Finn got up to leave and went to arrange the bidding meeting.

Meanwhile, on the other side, the Collins family had been up all night.

The next morning, the bidding meeting officially began.

All the wealthy and powerful families in Silvermoon City gathered at the bidding venue, everyone wanting to get Summit Holdings Corporation's billion-dollar project.

After all, this project could propel any company into the top ten enterprises in Pinecrest City.

Landon and his family arrived at the bidding venue.

As soon as they walked into the venue, they wore arrogant smiles on their faces, bragging to everyone they met.

Most people at the venue were skeptical, though some flattered them and went along with it.

Some had doubts but didn't dare ask too many questions.

After all, if the Collins family really had connections with Summit Holdings Corporation, they didn't dare offend them easily.

Just then, Caroline and James walked into the bidding venue.

Caroline wore a professional outfit, looking capable and determined, with none of her former weakness.

James accompanied her, wearing a black suit, his demeanor cold and his eyes sharp.

The powerful aura he radiated made everyone at the venue involuntarily stop and look at them.

When Daryl saw Caroline, his arrogance instantly intensified.

He quickly walked up to Caroline, his tone mocking,

"Caroline, what are you doing here? This isn't where you belong! We secured this project, so stop embarrassing yourself here!"

Gilbert also walked over, his tone disdainful,

"Exactly! Caroline, you should just go back. Stop being an eyesore here!"

"Once we get the project, we'll kick you out of the company, take back your shares, and you'll never be able to act superior in front of us again!"

Caroline looked at their arrogant behavior, completely unmoved, and said calmly,

"Whether you can get the project is still uncertain. Don't get too cocky."

"Uncertain?"

Daryl sneered, his tone arrogant,

"Caroline, you're just jealous of me! Jealous that I can rise to success through Mr. Moore, jealous that I can get the project!"

"Let me tell you, you'll never catch up to me in this lifetime! When Mr. Moore gets here, you'll see how ridiculous you are!"

James coldly glanced at Daryl, his tone icy with a hint of pressure,

"Brian won't be coming. He's a fraud who ran off with your money long ago."

Daryl's face darkened, his tone arrogant,

"What nonsense are you talking! Brian is the heir to Summit Holdings Corporation, how could he be a fraud? You're just jealous of us and deliberately spreading rumors!"

Landon also walked over, looking coldly at James,

"James, stop talking nonsense! Brian is Finn's son, how could he be a fraud!"

James sneered and ignored them.

Just then, the doors of the bidding venue opened.

Finn walked in with several bodyguards.

He wore a black suit, his demeanor steady and his eyes authoritative, making everyone at the venue involuntarily stand up.

When Landon and the other two saw Finn, their eyes immediately lit up.

They quickly rushed forward, surrounding Finn, their tones respectful and enthusiastic.

"Mr. Moore! You're finally here!"

Landon's face was full of flattering smiles as he quickly bowed.

"I'm Landon, Brian's friend. We've been waiting for you!"

Gilbert also quickly said,

"Yes, Mr. Moore, we're from the Collins family. Brian is your son, and he promised to help us get this project. Could you please do us a favor and let the Collins family win the bid?"

Finn paused, slowly turned around, his gaze coldly sweeping over the three of them, his tone full of mockery,

"Brian? When did I have a son named Brian?"

This statement hit Landon and the other two like a thunderbolt, instantly freezing them in place, their minds going blank.

Daryl was the first to react, his arrogance completely gone, replaced by disbelief.

He rushed to Finn, his voice shrill,

"Impossible! Mr. Moore, how could you not know Brian? He said he was your son, and he even talked to you on the phone. He helped us pull strings and was going to help us get the project!"

"Phone call?"

Finn sneered, the disgust in his eyes intensifying,

"I've never received any call from a Brian, nor do I have such a son."

"However, my people found out that recently, a security guard has been impersonating me, forging identities, and committing fraud in Silvermoon City. I assume that's the Brian you're talking about."

"Security guard?"

Landon's body went limp, and he collapsed to the ground, his cane rolling aside. His face was deathly pale as he kept muttering to himself.

The venue instantly erupted, with discussions rising one after another. The looks directed at the three Collins family members were full of mockery.

"So the Collins family was lying! They said Brian was Mr. Moore's son, but they were actually scammed by a fraud!"

"How ridiculous! To get the project, they were conned out of their entire fortune by a security guard. They were too greedy and got what they deserved!"

"They were bragging everywhere before, saying the Collins family would become a wealthy family in Silvermoon City. Now it turns out it was all a joke!"

Those who had previously flattered and pleased the Collins family now changed their attitudes, staying far away.

They were afraid of being implicated by the Collins family, and some even kicked them while they were down, mocking the three.

Landon lay on the ground, listening to the mocking voices around him, looking at Finn's cold eyes, his heart filled with regret and despair.

He struggled to get up but was completely powerless.

Then Finn turned and walked onto the main stage, picked up the microphone, cleared his throat, and said authoritatively,

"Everyone, thank you for attending Summit Holdings Corporation branch's bidding meeting. After our preliminary review, five companies have made it to the final bidding round. Now, the bidding officially begins."
