Chapter 90 Guys where are you?
Ava's p.o.v
I went straight to the bedroom and sat in the bathtub with cold water and soaked myself there to calm my nerves down.
If I remember well,I heard that old man telling the girl that they wanted to steal his money with her boyfriend which meant that Herman was the boyfriend!
This was too much for me and I totally regret why I made that decision of following them behind.
After a long bath,I moved back to the bedroom and got into my pajamas then covered myself inside the bed.
I reached out to my phone and I found two missed calls from Herman so I called him back and picked up.
“Hey babe,are you back home?” He asked.
“Yes babe,why?”
“Uhm,something happened today and I'm coming over at home with someone,” he said at one point and I could hear him breathing so fast from the other end of the call.
“Oh okay,but who are you coming with and why are you panicking? Is everything okay?” I asked.
“I'm going to explain everything to you once I get there,please don't sleep before I reach,” he said and then hung up.
I stepped out of the bed and moved to the living room and started pacing back and forth…I drew the curtains and looked through the window to check whether he was coming but to my surprise,I saw his car already parked in the driveway and I wondered whether he had just arrived or he already got here long time even before calling me!
I was still figuring things out when I saw him and of course with the other girl I saw earlier at the apartment getting out of the car and moving towards the house.
My heart started racing for no reason and when I heard him fidgeting with the door,I started shivering but I tried to control myself.
“Hey babe,thank God you're awake,” he moved closer to where I was standing and gave me a kiss on the lips.
“Are you okay? I was worried when you hung up on me,” I asked.
“I'm sorry babe,uhm,this is Angel, my cousin sister,” he looked behind him and gestured to the girl to move forward.
In my head I was like,Herman please go and fuck yourself…you're introducing me to your cousin sister whom you were kissing a while ago!
“Hey nice to meet you Ava,I have heard so many good things about you,” she extended her hand and I shook it.
“Nice to meet you too Angel,feel at home please,” I squeezed my lips in a flat line.
She was wearing an overcoat which ran all the way to her feet with only the heels and pointer of her shoes showing.
“Uhm,so the thing is,Angel here called me earlier that she had no place to stay because she failed to pay her rent in time and her landlord threw her outside…since it was already late,I was like she can spend the night here then tomorrow I will clear her landlord so that she moves back in…hope it's okay with you babe?” He touched my shoulders while staring at me.
“Okay,but where are her bags? Didn't she move with any of her belongings?” I asked.
“Oh about that?! Uhm,the landlord didn't give me the chance to step inside and grab anything so this is me,” she explained.
“Oh sorry to hear about that,” I folded my hands over my chest.
“Babe,it's only one night, can you please share your pajamas with her?” He begged me.
I first kept quiet because I didn't expect people to be this confident when it comes to lying but these two are really good at it and they're so shameless.
“Yeah,it's okay…let me grab some for her,” I turned and moved to our bedroom.
“Babe,let me also go and fix her bedroom where she will be sleeping,” I heard Herman's voice as I was moving inside the bedroom.
I reached inside and went to the closet to pick the pajamas but my heart was aching and I wanted to go and maybe strangle both of them this very minute but I didn't have the courage to do that so I let that thought pass.
I left the bedroom and went straight to the guest room but I found them whispering so I stopped in my tracks and started eavesdropping.
“But do you think your wife bought the lie?” she asked him.
“Yeah of course,”
“She didn't seem convinced to me at all,” she replied.
“Come on! Stop over thinking,”
“But why don't you quit this job since you have a normal business which is doing well and this place you call home?” she asked.
“Carlie,stop asking me dumb questions…if I quit this job for a long time,would we have met? Think about it,” he asked her and the next thing I heard were sounds of them kissing and my legs went numb.
They have just lied to me about her name and now they're kissing in my house! Herman,this is too much!
I slowly took some steps back and when I reached the living room,I called out Herman and pretended that I had just come back from the bedroom.
“Guys where are you?”
“Babe,over here please,” Herman responded.
I moved to the guest room and found him making the bed while she stood in the corner watching with her hands resting on her hips.
“Here you go,” I stretched out my hand with pajamas and she grabbed them.
“These look cute,thank you so much,” she sniffed on them and I rolled my eyes.
“Okay Angel,freshen up and get changed…incase of anything,you can call me,” he instructed her
“Okay guys,thank you so much,” she looked over at him then me.
“Okay have a goodnight, let us also move to our bedroom,” he tangled his fingers with mine before moving out of the room.
“Babe,today has been such a long day…I badly need to rest,” he threw his body on the bed with his eyes closed.
“Yes but you need to shower first and I wish I could help but I'm just from there so you will have to do it yourself babe,” I pulled him up and pushed him towards the bathroom.
“Thanks once again for letting my little cousin sleep over,” he kissed me.
“She's family, I couldn't kick her out in the night,” I kissed him back but with a heavy heart.
He moved into the bathroom to take a shower and I also covered myself in the bed.
