Chapter 133 What Noah Did
Daisy walked up to the stage calmly and nodded to everyone.
After Daisy went on stage, Ethan stepped down, leaving Daisy in front of the microphone.
Daisy introduced herself composedly, "Hello everyone, I'm Daisy from Reed Corporation, and I'm also the project leader. Now let me explain today's product to you all..."
Daisy's poised demeanor drew everyone's attention, and the reporters' cameras were all pointed at her.
Vincent's attention was also drawn to her, his eyes fixed intently on her, as if this version of her was someone he had never seen before.
Confident, bright, bold.
It had to be said that Daisy in her area of expertise was completely different from the Daisy at home.
He seemed to understand a bit why Daisy insisted on doing this - because of her passion.
Vincent's gaze on Daisy also caught the attention of the person beside him. Vanessa felt very unhappy and tried to attract his attention by talking to him.
"Vince..."
"If there's something, we'll talk about it later."
Vincent's calm words made Vanessa hate Daisy even more. Why could she attract Vincent's attention so easily, while she couldn't!
Even though Vanessa was very unhappy, she could only hide her thoughts, glaring at Daisy on stage through gritted teeth. It's all because of her!
At this moment, there was another person who was unhappy with Daisy.
When that person watched Daisy confidently introduce the product on stage, their expression changed.
From initially watching for entertainment to shock!
How could this be!
He clearly had...!
Why could Daisy still present the product so calmly, and do it so well!
Even after Daisy finished her speech, that person still hadn't recovered from the shock.
"That's all for the detailed introduction of this product. If anyone still has questions, feel free to talk to me privately after the event. Thank you."
Daisy bowed slightly to the audience.
As soon as she finished speaking, Ethan and Vincent led the applause. Others in the audience snapped out of it and joined in clapping, with applause filling the room.
Watching everyone's reaction, Daisy took a deep breath. Good! Nothing went wrong!
After coming down from the stage, Daisy first looked at Ethan, "Mr. Reed."
Seeing that Daisy seemed to have something to say, Ethan raised his eyebrows slightly and turned aside, "What's wrong?"
"Could you help me check the surveillance footage of the lounge later?"
Ethan was a bit confused and asked, "What happened?"
Daisy didn't speak. She just took out a piece of paper from her suit pocket. The paper was now crumpled, but it was clear that it had been soaked in water, with all the writing blurred and illegible.
Seeing this, Ethan's pupils suddenly contracted, his eyes filled with disbelief, "This is...?"
"This was supposed to be my speech today, but just before we came out, it was in a water cup in the lounge."
Daisy recalled her complicated feelings when she saw the speech. She knew someone did it on purpose, someone wanted to embarrass her at today's event!
This was an important collaboration between Reed Corporation and Black Group. If she had messed up, the consequences would have been unimaginable!
Fortunately, Daisy had been involved in the entire development process, so even without the speech, she could still present all the product's highlights, which is why nothing went wrong.
The reason she had held back and said nothing was to use this opportunity to see who was most concerned.
Unfortunately, she couldn't tell.
But Daisy wasn't someone who could be easily pushed around. Since she couldn't figure it out on stage, she would just have someone investigate thoroughly.
Hearing Daisy's words, Ethan frowned deeply. How could he not understand what Daisy meant!
To do something like this right before the speech, that person was clearly targeting Daisy!
However, there were too many people coming and going in the lounge, so investigating this wouldn't be easy.
But difficult didn't mean Ethan wouldn't investigate. This person who could do such things in secret might cause even bigger problems in the future!
If Daisy didn't have such abilities, something serious could have happened today.
He absolutely couldn't let this happen again!
"I'll have someone check the surveillance!"
"Okay."
After finishing their conversation, they continued watching the stage without further communication. However, their close conversation had caught Vincent's eye, and the atmosphere around him grew heavier.
"Vince, what's wrong?"
Vanessa followed Vincent's gaze and saw Daisy. A flash of jealousy crossed her eyes, but she quickly hid her thoughts and asked him with feigned concern.
Vincent shook his head slightly, concealing his displeasure, "Nothing."
Before Vanessa could think more, potential business partners came over. Vanessa's task today was also to deal with these partners, so she could only put aside her thoughts and go talk with them.
While Ethan was talking with others, Daisy returned to the lounge first, but unexpectedly ran into Noah at the door.
She wasn't surprised to see Noah here. Given today's occasion, it was normal for him to be here as a member of her team.
What she didn't expect was that Noah would directly block her way.
"Noah, what do you want?"
Daisy looked at Noah blocking her path, her eyebrows furrowed slightly, her tone unclear.
"I was the one who ruined your speech."
Noah's calm statement left Daisy completely stunned. She looked at Noah in disbelief, clearly not expecting him to admit it so straightforwardly.
Daisy's expression darkened as she looked at Noah in confusion, "Why?"
Why would he destroy her speech?
And why would he admit it so easily?
Honestly, Daisy really couldn't understand Noah anymore.
What benefit did doing this bring him?
"Don't you know what you've done yourself?"
Instead of answering Daisy's question, Noah questioned her back.
Daisy was taken aback by Noah's questioning attitude. She frowned, looking at Noah in confusion, "Noah, what do you mean by that? You're making it sound like I've done something terrible."
Noah had been hostile toward her before, and she couldn't figure out where that hostility came from, but judging by Noah's attitude, the hostility ran deep.
"I want to remind Ms. Hart that there are so many talented young people in this world. Ms. Hart should stop focusing on other people's husbands and daughters. After all, breaking up someone's family is a very shameful thing to do."
