Chapter 45 Friends with Benefits: knight in shining armour
POV: Kade
I looked at Nayla's message and clenched my fist angrily.
I stood up but Damien, my old classmate, held me back.
“When she loved you, you never showed her love. And now you're going to meet her because of a text? You guys didn't even date.”
I sat down back and simply sipped my drink. I was a coward and I was really hurting her.
My phone beeped again and it was another text from Nayla.
I was about to click on it but Damien held me back.
“You don't have to read her message again. You are feeling overwhelmed, just forget that.
I dropped my phone on the table. I started sipping my drink again, I knew I had fucked up.
I had loved Nayla for years and I had to pretend with Kamila so I could get over her.
“That message might just be her crashing out again. Replying might hurt her.”
I didn't respond to Damien.
I didn't know she had loved me too and I was too scared to speak to her so I wouldn't lose our friendship but who would have known she was waiting for me to confess to her first.
“You fucked up…so drink and heal yourself.” My phone rang and I almost picked it but Damien stopped me and this time I decided to follow my heart.
“I'll pick her call Damien.” I smiled and was about to pick her call when the phone stopped ringing.
I dialled her number again but she didn't pick…it was rather switched off.
“I told you, she's vexed that you didn't answer her call and believe me, I understand her anger.” Damien explained.
“No Damien…Nayla wouldn't do that to me, if she called, she'd not turn her phone off she'll wait for me to call back.”
“We saw her enter the hotel with her friend, who knows? She might go there to fuck a man?”
“Nayla wouldn't do that,” I yelled angrily, shutting him up so he didn't say anything again.
“Do whatever you want,” he stood up and walked away. I sat for a few minutes and followed him quietly.
I knew I was wrong for yelling at him and I needed to explain.
I got to the car lot and stopped when I noticed he was on a call and I moved closer a bit so I would apologize before he entered his car.
“I tried to stop him but he might come to save Nayla soon, I don't know what you want me to do.”
He inserted his hand in his pocket, I moved closer to him so I could listen to his conversation and know who he was talking to.
“I made sure he saw Nayla in that dress with you, Astrid. He was vexed but he insisted he would meet her so maybe you should change the location”
I was in shock. Damien was sent to distract me from Nayla.
He texted me to meet and he talked about how he wanted to catch up, it had been over two years since we last spoke.
I didn't expect Damien to betray me but we were old colleagues, it's been two solid years.
I gently tapped his shoulder and he turned, surprised to see me and speechless. He quickly hung up and shoved his phone in his pocket.
“Kade, did you change your mind? That's nice….” I shut him up with a punch.
I pulled him back up with his shirt and punched him again, spitting out blood.
"Where's Nayla? What did you do to her?” I yelled angrily. He let out a devilish laugh.
“By the time you get to her, she would have been fucked by the executives of Blu hotels…I sold her to the heir of Blu hotels.”
I looked away angrily, the heir of Blu hotels was me but the person known to the media was my dad's assistant, Rex.
I had heard about how he drugged girls and raped them with other executives but I had never involved myself personally.
But today, I would do that for Nayla's sake. I turned away but my phone rang. I hoped it was Nayla but it was from Kamila.
“Hey” I picked the call nonchalantly.
“Meet me up at…” I hung up angrily. I knew anyone that tried to stop me from getting Nayla was part of their plan.
I clicked on Nayla's message and almost bit my tongue out of anger. She pleaded and hoped I would come for her but I failed her.
I rushed to the elevator and met some guards there, they all bowed when they saw me. I didn't need to introduce myself, I took after my dad.
I had his face and his structure. They knew I was the real heir and they wouldn't want to get on my bad side.
“Are you also interested in those…” I grabbed his neck and choked him, “Where are those girls Rex drugged?”
“The executive room…they're almost taking them to the penthouse” I released him.
“Good,” I muttered. I got to the executive room and tried to turn the door knob but it was locked.
I brought out my golden card dad gave me and clicked it happily. Thank God I came out with this.
“Welcome master Kade, the door is opened.”, the AI automated response. I sighed and before I could turn the knob, Rex stepped outside.
He must have heard the AI voice, about two executives joined him and they bowed.
“Master…”
“Release Nayla to me” I cut them off, I wasn't ready to hear their flatters. It was all fake.
“I don't know what you're talking about Kade.” I grabbed Rex's neck and pushed him inside.
“Don't say shit” I yelled angrily. “You told Astrid to bring Nayla.”
I wanted to believe Rex didn't call for Nayla personally because of me, if not I wouldn't forgive myself.
“Kade…” I pushed Astrid away and walked towards the lady on the floor. I knew it was Nayla because I saw her wearing that mini dress.
I bought it for her, encouraging her to go on a date. I didn't know it would be in Rex's den.
I let go of Rex and helped Nayla up, “Fuck me…I'm hot...fuck me. Kade please fuck me.” She hugged me tightly.
I felt my heart melt, she hugged me tightly. “Kade take me home…I want you to fuck me.” She moved recklessly and I could feel my dick getting hard.
“Calm down Nayla, I'm here for you okay?” I pulled her into a tight hug and picked her up. I faced Rex “Be careful…I wouldn't only send you to prison, I'll send you to your grave too.” I walked away carrying my Nayla.
It was going to be a long night and I was ready to be there for her.
