Chapter 164 He Is Back

Chapter 164 He Is Back
Arden's POV

Lana left this morning for Zanzibar with the private jet. I miss her already as I walk down the hallway of university. Students were chatting with each other as they left, some would whisper as I walked past them because they have crushes on me which I do not entertain. I do not give extra lessons just to avoid that. Well, ever since Lana came into my life.

I try to be a strict yet caring type of professor. I had my laptop bag with me, but Lucy had my attention for the entire duration of class. She had a scarf around her neck since yesterday and she would touch it lightly. That was my concern. Yet, I didn't want to ask about it. She came out of the bathroom as I was about to pass. "Lucy," I said, she was in a hurry. But she stopped to look at me. She clung her satchel against her.

"Professor?" she said, but it seemed like she just wanted to get away.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

"Yes, I just need to get home," she starts to walk again, but I stop her.

"Lucy, is he hurting you?" She stopped in her tracks, her back facing towards me. She had been tense before, but now her shoulders sagged in defeat. I moved closer to her, "Lucy."

She turned around to face me. "Yes and it doesn't matter because I won't be living with him from today. I got into Sternpoint and your fiance was nice enough to offer me a place to stay at the hotel. That is all that matters to me, Professor," she said, but as I held her gaze, she was frightened.

"What if he finds you again?" I asked. "How will you defend yourself when he hurts you again?" My eyes fell on the scarf and I knew that it has to do with him.

"I know how to handle him," she said.

"Why are you wearing a scarf? And do not lie to me," I warned her.

She removed the scarf and there were bruises on her neck. F^ck. My jaw clenched at the sight, she put the scarf around her neck again and then she walked off, leaving me standing on my spot. I need to report this. If he could find her somewhere, she might even tell him where she lives.

I walked after her as fast as I could. I no longer see her. As I approached the corner, I heard a male voice arguing and growling through clenched teeth. When I went around the corner, anger rose within me like lava about to erupt. I quickened my pace as Brady had Lucy in a choke hold against the wall. I let my laptop bag fall to the ground with a loud thud. I didn't care if my laptop broke, because this man ruined Lana in the past. I was there to pick up her pieces and now he is doing the same to Lucy, whom I might be picking up the pieces of too.

I shoved him away from Lucy. He didn't expect it. I grabbed him by the collar of his white shirt and I shoved him against the wall this time. I saw red. His eyes were huge as he saw who I was. "Professor Moses," he chuckled. "Fancy seeing you again."

"You sick f^ck," I said through clenched teeth. "If you ever lay your hands on her again, then I will destroy you once and for all."

He laughed, "Destroy me for Lana or my sister, whom you clearly have an interest in, do you want to f^ck her too like you did Lana?" he smirked at me.

I pulled him away from the wall and I shoved him very hard against the wall. He coughed at the impact. "For both. You will stay away from them. I am not a sick f^ck like you, I am protecting them from men like you." I growled.

"Professor, its okay, please let him go," Lucy begged me.

"Not now, Lucy." I said as I held my gaze at him. I wanted to beat him up so badly but I couldn't. I am on campus grounds, I cannot risk my career again and I will not be charged either. "If I ever see you again or near both of them. You will see my full wrath," I let go of him. My chest heaved.

"You know, if you ever try to lay a hand on me again...then I will post photos of Lana. Would that be a bad reputation as the CEO of the most well known company and the daughter of Mark Stern? You both ruined my reputation at university because you f^cked her-
"

"And you ruined mine," I hissed at him.

"That was the point. To be equal, but now I am back in the place where I grew up and you can't do sh^t about me. I can break Lana from afar and you wouldn't know once these photos are out in the world. So lay a hand on me again and you destroy yourselves," he said with a smirk. I nearly grabbed him again but thought better of it. He walked away, leaving Lucy behind. She crouched down to pick up her satchel and she looked at me hesitantly.

"Thank you," she said, and then she walked down the hallway.

I was trembling with fury. It took me a bit of a while to sink into the fact that Brady is Lucy's brother. F^ck. I picked up my laptop bag and I went to my car. I needed to protect them, but I need a restraining order, but the one problem is that he has photos and I am not sure what photos those are. It could be the ones from the club.

I can't believe that he is back. I'm glad that Lana is on vacation for a month so that he won't get close to her. I need help in sorting this bastard out. No one else knows what he did to her besides me. I need to inform someone. Her mother, Mariko and Reggie. I do not have many contacts that could help me. If I do remember correctly that Lana has another uncle that does private investigations and if he can help Lucy too, I would be forever grateful.

Lana said that someone was watching her and now that makes perfect f^cking sense. It could only be Brady. We were fine before he came back to Seattle. I am surprised that he didn't think of doing anything in New York after being expelled. He could be bluffing about the photos. The only photos that I remember him having is one of Lana and I kissing in my classroom at NYU Stern. I need Pedro.
