I let the song finish, but I hadn't turned on the lights to show I accepted. My handsome Black man looked at his friends, who encouraged him to dedicate another song to me. I stepped away from the door, ran to the garage where I had a hose with power similar to a firefighter's.
The strong water stream once knocked me down with its pressure when I used to wash cars. I connected it; it was very long, giving me the necessary mobility. No one would expect me to come out from the garage and knock them down with the stream.
I set it to maximum power, now I just had to hold it tight and clench my butt like he once told me after mocking my fall. The song was beautiful, my love, but... I had to make you understand that marriage is for better or worse.
They didn't even notice I was about to surprise them. I turned on the hose, and the stream hit my Black man, knocking him to the ground from the shock. The strong stream went everywhere, soaking everyone.
"ARE YOU SERIOUS, SWEETHEART!"
He shouted as he got up. I turned off the water. The poor musicians also got soaked and ran frantically to save their instruments. Roland, Simon, and Miguel, who were closest to Aníbal, also ended up drenched.
Arnold couldn't stop laughing; he bent over, holding his knees. To avoid being mocked, I turned the water back on, hitting him directly. Being in that position, he fell to his side, next to Daniel and Gustavo, who also jumped when they felt the water.
"Thanks for the gesture, but don't waste your time," I said as they stifled their laughter. "Have a good night, and please don't mess with my sleep!" I looked at Aníbal. "It seems you not only forgot the wedding vows."
"Like 'for better or worse' or 'in sickness and in health.' You also forgot that sleep is sacred to me! Good night."
I didn't wait for him to say anything. I went back inside, closed the garage door, and ran to the living room to peek through the window. Everyone was laughing at Aníbal while he stared at the house door in frustration.
As he turned around, he fell. I saw him flailing, and his friends stopped laughing to help him up. "What's wrong with him? Why can't he stay on his feet now?" Arnold and Roland helped him up; his legs seemed like they had no bones. I covered my mouth. What's wrong with Aníbal? I ran to my room and called Simon.
"Shirly."
"Don't lie to me anymore. Tell me, why can't Aníbal walk now?"
"When he gets frustrated, it happens. It seems to be a nervous tic; the doctors are still evaluating. It happens less often now. I see you care."
"He's the man I love! Of course I care, but that has nothing to do with him having to pay for all the tears I've shed. And if he stops trying to seek my forgiveness, well, it'll be worse for him!" I hung up the call. Once more, on the edge of the bed, I started to cry. It hurt so much to see him like that.

These two fucking weeks after the serenade fiasco have been frustrating for me. Every day, at any moment, I've lost the use of my legs, fallen down, and once, while holding a glass, Rino had to give me a few stitches. The neurologist appointment showed nothing, and Ana insists it's emotional. I don't know what to think anymore.
I have no fucking idea how things are with Shirly. I've sent her flowers, chocolates, played music in her room with songs dedicated to her. She hasn't returned the bouquets, but she hasn't let me see her either.
Meanwhile, we haven't stopped working. Two weeks ago, Cebolla, Cereza, and Zombi traveled to Colombia to organize everything related to transportation. The operation will be in two weeks.
Emilio will have the shipment ready by then, according to what we heard in his calls. Miguel contacted González and Sapillo, whom we trust, and they have agreed to live a quiet life.
Once they returned, the perfect duo traveled; Mojón and Lobo understand each other well in the casino environment. Their time spent in Arnold's father's casinos in Russia helped. I couldn’t eat. She’s doing this just to mess with me, trying to get under my skin. I admit I messed up by pushing her aside when we promised to be together through thick and thin. I got up from the table and went out to the terrace, which was only lit by a streetlight.
The car lights alerted me, and I hid a bit. My wife got out wearing a tight, short white dress with a deep neckline showing her breasts, which only I could enjoy.
Jealousy consumed me. She called on her cellphone, picked up my baby, and waited for Vero, who came out looking around. It’s been a month since she found out I was still alive, and she’s still reluctant, but she better not think she can cheat on me. I’ll shred any jerk who tries to touch her. She better not think I’m a pushover. Without caring about anything, I approached where she was talking cheerfully with the newcomer.
“I’m coming for my baby tomorrow.”
Vero lowered her gaze and left with my son’s diaper bag after letting me kiss his little head.
“Where are you going?”

The shameless woman swayed those perfect hips that drove me completely crazy. I watched her leave, my blood boiling, and it only took a fraction of a second for me to react. I ran inside the house and boldly took one of Roland’s car keys.
“You can’t drive!”
Vero shouted at me, and then I heard her calling for Roland. I reached the garage, and once I got in and started the car, Roland got in the passenger seat.
“I’m not getting out!”
“Just be careful not to kill me. I have a beautiful wife I want to grow old with and lovely kids to take care of.”
That was his response. I drove like a maniac, and in fifteen minutes, I spotted her. I kept my distance. Roland didn’t say anything, but I noticed he looked more relaxed once I slowed down.
I have no idea what’s happening to me. At this moment, my mind is completely in sync with my body, like before. We arrived at Blanco, and she parked at a restaurant. Before going in, a guy approached her, kissed her on the cheek, and hugged her by the waist. Damn it!
“He’s just greeting her!”
Roland shouted when he saw me accelerate the car and brake like a madman before the couple could enter the restaurant. I got out of the car, slammed the door, and, not caring if I fell like a sprawled guava, I reached the couple and grabbed the scrawny guy by the neck. At this moment, I was Churrusco, and I didn’t give a damn about Shirly’s screams.
