Chapter 265 - Revelation to Lobo - mdtres
Simón
"Both of you, go to hell!" They laughed even more.
"Mr. Moreno!"
A nurse called out. I flipped off the two childish guys who wouldn't stop bothering me.
"That's me." I stood up and walked over to her.
"Come with me, someone wants to meet you."
My heart was racing. I followed the young woman to the newborn section. My wife had undergone a C-section. There were several babies, and as I passed by them, I felt nothing until I saw a tiny bundle wrapped in a blue blanket with open eyes waiting for me.
The same feeling I had when my daughters were born settled in my chest again – another being to live for, another being for whom I would give my life if necessary. And it wasn't for nothing, but he looked like me.
"Can I hold him?"
"Of course, since he was born he hasn't closed his eyes. His mother said he wants to meet you." Truly, children make you lose all sense.
"Hello, champ." He turned towards my voice. I took him out of his crib, kissed his little head, and unable to control my emotions, a tear rolled down my cheek. "Daddy's here."
I started to rock him, and soon he fell asleep. With my son in my arms, I entered my wife's room. Her beautiful green eyes were shining. She looked beautiful; I didn't understand why she was self-conscious about those extra pounds. It didn't matter to me. At this level of compatibility with my wife, I saw the greatness she had become.
She was the mother of my children. That little bit of weight on her abdomen had become my stress reliever. Hadn't she noticed that as soon as I massaged it, I fell into a deep sleep?
Let's see how her postpartum period goes. With the twins, it was traumatic and somewhat frustrating for me. We reached her side, I placed Sergio next to her, and then I kissed her. I didn't care that my mother-in-law was watching. I needed to kiss her.
"Don't even think about coming up with one of those stories you usually invent, like I don't love you, that you look fat, because I'm telling you now, your little belly relaxes me." I managed to make her smile. "Thank you for giving me one more reason to live, one more reason to be a good man and make you proud of me. I love you."
"You're going to make me cry, I adore you, Simón." She looked at Sergio. "He looks a lot like you."
"I also worked hard to put him there, I should get some reward."
She blushed, my mother-in-law laughed at my comment, and after giving her grandson and daughter a kiss on the cheek, she left.
"Thank you for the family and this married life you've given me, Simón."
"I should be the one thanking you, my dark-haired beauty. You and our children are the most sacred things to me."
"The favorite uncle is here!" Roland entered.
"No, the favorite uncle is me."
Miguel chimed in. We laughed. When I met their eyes, I knew something had happened. Tonight, I was staying with Luisa at the clinic. She was being discharged tomorrow. Using the excuse of going to the cafeteria to eat something, which by the way, I hadn't had anything since we arrived, my two friends said their goodbyes. Tomorrow at the ranch, we would see each other again. My wife stayed with Inés.
"What's going on?"
"Aníbal is waiting for us in the cafeteria, Lobo is with him." I looked at Roland.
"Are you sure you want him to know too?" He nodded. "Alright. Is Arnold arriving tomorrow?"
"I understand he traveled with them but stayed in San Antonio. He'll be here Saturday afternoon for the meeting."
We reached the cafeteria. Lobo's eyes widened as if they were about to pop out. He looked at the Boss and then at us. Roland smiled at him, and I greeted him. Lobo wanted to hug him, he tried, but then stopped, and it was the Boss who hugged him.
"Breathe, Kevin, breathe. For now, only Mole knows about my existence."
"Don't worry, Boss, I'd die before I opened my mouth."
"That's why you're where you are," Roland said. I looked at Aníbal.
"Simón, congratulations on your son." Churrusco hugged me and whispered in my ear, "Arnold needs us." I didn't change my expression, continued as if nothing happened. We sat at the table.
"Well, my wife and son are waiting for me in a room. Let's get to the point, Lobo."
"Rasca culo has the details, as Simón requested. And Churrusco has already given me the necessary papers for the next phase."
"What haven't you told us?"
Roland asked, analyzing him. When he gets into the role of the Boss, he can scare anyone.
"I've entered Nikolay's inner circle, I'm dating his younger sister, and when he interviewed me, I told him I was a lone hitman. I've already done three jobs for him. Irina doesn't know anything about my profession, and we agreed it would be a secret between us."
"Are you interested in her?"
"Not really, although I mentioned her to Guadalupe, the Mexican woman called twice when Irina was at my apartment. I couldn't lose what I had gained, so in Lupe's eyes, Irina is my soulmate."
"And Lupe?"
"Neither. Boss, I have no idea about the connection between Nikolay and Arnold, but they are very similar. I've heard that his son will be the leader of everything, and when I met Irina's nephew, I knew he wasn't the right son to run the empire."
"Lobo, I hope you never betray us, love can play tricks on us."
"Sir, let me be clear with you. It's not Irina who interests me, nor is it Lupe, rest assured."
"Nikolay wants to be the boss of bosses," Roland said.
"I'll investigate more, boss, I need to return today. I already have the papers and stamps in my passport showing I was in another country."
"What do you know about the device they put on people in that organization?"
"That's what I needed to talk to you about in person. I'll do whatever you tell me. After two more jobs, they'll put it on me. It's a satellite tracker, and they'll be able to hear everything I say to anyone near me. They also install a micro earpiece inside the ear. From then on, everything will have to be in writing. I won't be able to return to Colombia, and especially not come here, they could find out you're alive." We looked at each other.
"Can it be removed?"
"Yes, they place it strategically in the diaphragm and another in the ear. As soon as they hear betrayal, they send an electric shock that the heart can't withstand," my mind worked quickly.
"It's not visual, just auditory?" Lobo nodded. "What address does Nikolay know of yours, Finland or Germany?"
"Germany, he investigated everything, I'm Spanish with residence in Germany, as we agreed."
"In Germany, next to your apartment, Rino will live."
We all know him, he's the doctor and also likes technology. We'll find a way to connect the two apartments. You won't leave your space, but Rino can place a computer at the boundary where you can write to us and we can respond. Try to be in Germany at least once a month. Let's hope this doesn't take long. Find out his plan and what interest he has with Arnold."
"Yes, sir, it may have nothing to do with it or there may be a lot of connection, I don't know, but about fifteen days ago Marcela was flaunting on Nikolay's arm."
"He likes whores, he has a long history," Roland said.
"He didn't see me. I must assume, now that he's marrying Arnold, I can't stay in Russia."
Once Lobo said that, the three of us stood up from our chairs, and I looked at Aníbal, who nodded, and I understood his comment, our brother needed help.
"That's why I said I would help Lupe with what that idiot is doing to her."
"Lobo, thanks for the information, be careful, in a week Rino will arrive as your neighbor. I'll inform Any about this, so no agents approach you unless you do it as if they were your informants, we won't put you at risk. At the slightest hint of danger to your life, flee if you need help, just say the word and we'll be there," Roland said, his face still red.
"Thank you, sir."
"One more question. Is Irina just an entry pass, or is there someone important in your life?"
"Not at the moment, although Nikolay's wife's younger sister seems like a girl who shouldn't be in that world. If I were to save someone, it would be that girl."
"Girl? She's twenty-three, and Nikolay's sister is twenty-six," Roland responded.
"And they're also best friends."
"Be careful, a love affair can get you into trouble," said Cebolla, who had remained silent the whole time.
"I'll keep that in mind."
We said goodbye to Lobo, he was returning to Russia today, making several stops, and Cebolla would erase his entry history to Colombia and the United States.
"Can we know what the hell is going on with Arnold?" Cebolla asked.
"He hasn't been home for two weeks," Roland said.
"The story is long, I'll tell you what happened yesterday."
