Chapter 260 - Two others married - meters
Aníbal
"If you want, we can go back," he said.
"We've already eliminated the danger." Everything was still shaking inside me. When I looked up, Shirly was coming out in a robe, her eyes red.
I handed the child to Karen. I hugged my wife, and while I had my girlfriend in my arms, I bumped fists in greeting with Rata.
"The FBI won't take long to get here," I commented.
"Thanks, Rata. Excellent shot, Rasca culo."
"That's what we're here for, brother."
I put on some clothes, and we waited for the federal agents sent by Any. They took our statements, and the hotel gave us a few more days as a courtesy to make up for the inconvenience we experienced. The official story was an attempted robbery and kidnapping.
The following days were perfect for us. After a week, my brothers went back to their jobs, and I stayed alone. My nephews enjoyed it to the fullest, and even I had a blast enjoying the amusement rides.

Any finally granted me two days to attend my two brothers' wedding, which was tomorrow. The whole family was already in Colombia except the Sandovals. Verónica didn't want to leave three days ago when everyone traveled, so my wife and I had our bags packed for the two days we would spend in my country. We were flying out tonight to arrive in Montería first thing in the morning.
Once again, I watched the recordings of the interrogations we did with the three guys Churrusco left alive. I kept watching and rewatching the footage from the interrogation room. We kept them on bread and water at the headquarters for three days. We interrogated them individually and then all three together, confronting them. After that, we handed them over to Any.
Their intention wasn't to kill Aníbal; it was the same instruction as the attempted kidnapping of Daniel's children. They want us alive but dominated. Why? What is the urgency of this new power circle forming to keep us subdued? Damn! The scenario doesn't add up. They're targeting my people... those bastards are calling my attention... No, they think I'm dead.
In these two days, I've only watched the videos. I noticed something and froze the images of the three. We hadn't realized it before, but they all have a small tattoo of a globe with a star, a moon, and a sun in the center.
They are a damn cult! I printed the image and looked through the previous videos. Federico's fight with the guy Cebolla fought also had the damn tattoo. I checked the others, the ones who tried to kidnap Cereza's kids, and they had it too. I sent the information to Simón, Miguel, and Any. I called Any afterward. I remembered that conversation.
"Any."
"I can't give you more days, Roland."
"I'm not calling for that. I just sent you an email with an image of a tattoo that the guys we've killed all have. They all have the same one."
"Give me a second." Silence. "I'll put my people to work. As soon as I know something, I'll let you know. It's quite small; some blend it in with their other tattoos."
"We're dealing with a new cult that wants to dominate everything. Any, ask them how much they accept the Lord God."
"Lord God?"
"You too? That's what I call God out of respect."
"I'm not judging you, and I'll handle it cautiously. I won't say anything in case information leaks."
"Have you found out anything new?"
"Apart from having a fixation on wanting to destroy your organization, even though they don't know you're still alive, they always talk about you in the past tense."
"Yes, we've noticed that. They think Rata is the leader now."
"Be careful."
"I'm missing something, something very important is slipping by."
"I'll search the detainee database for those who have that tattoo. It will take time."
I didn't say anything, but I saw when Rata accessed the system from Colombia and activated the search in his system.
"That was one of the reasons I was calling you. Will you let me know?"
"Enjoy those two days in your homeland."
"I will."
The kids were asleep in their stroller. We left at ten at night on a private flight with Cooper, Any's right-hand man. He was a good friend of my Pecosa. Verónica sat next to me with a blanket, but Liam woke up. We took him out of the stroller, and I settled him in my arms. Shortly after, Victoria woke up.
We laughed, took them all out, and got into the bed on the jet, placing them between us. That way, they didn't fuss, and we could sleep the whole flight. An hour before landing, Cebolla and Simón were waiting for us. They had rented a huge estate where we would stay, mostly so I wouldn't draw too much attention.
Anyway, I put on the black eyes and a subtle beard. Dante woke up first, I gave him his bottle. My son looked at me with his little furrowed brow and recognized me when I spoke. But he kept staring and touching the fake beard.
"I'm intruder dad number one, what's up, champ?"
He started to pout, so I picked him up and began to talk to him in his ear so he could hear my voice. He looked at me with his little hands on my face. I kissed his little hands.
"Is it okay now?"
With his brow still furrowed, he began to smile at me. This little guy was going to be suspicious. After a while, he had already adapted to my new look. I had to go through the same process with all my kids. It was my princess who didn't want me to carry her and kept looking at me strangely. Verónica loved my new look. That woman couldn't stop shaking her fine ass, doing it on purpose. That constant game with my wife excited me. She surprises me more every day, and I love it.
When we got off the jet, Simón and Cebolla were waiting for us. We greeted them and headed to the ranch where Gustavo and Aníbal's wedding would take place. They showed us to our room. I had today off, but I had to return tomorrow. We settled in and got ready. Father Gabriel would officiate the ceremony. We were the godparents, along with Simón and Luisa.
The ceremony was pleasant. While the priest talked about marriage, I looked at my wife. Everything was so different now. I always thought about how God destined her for me. She was only mine, and that damn certainty was satisfying. It made me love her like crazy. We might have some marital problems.
But I was sure we would solve them. I had feared marriage so much, and it turned out to be the best decision I ever made. I took her hand while our friends said their vows and leaned into Verónica's ear.
"I swear to keep making love to you whenever you want, I swear to love you until your boobs, butt, and teeth fall out."
She bit her lips to keep from laughing, but her eyes were like two stars, those beautiful honey-colored eyes.
"I swear to work every day to never lose that look, I swear my dick will only be yours. Thank you for choosing me as your life partner." Tears began to fall from those beautiful eyes.
"Thank you for being stubborn enough to change my mind, thank you for those four more reasons to live that help me clean up my past. I love you, Verónica Vásquez."
"Sandoval, even if it's outdated and not used anymore, I'm Verónica Sandoval. I'm only yours, I was born for you, and I swear to stay by your side until the day I die. I adore you."
They were married now. Inés approached them and gave her blessing to the four of them. They looked in love. The results the doctors gave us weren't satisfactory... but now wasn't the time to think about that.
I stick to my absurd philosophy, like life's ironies. We were such rascals, demons regenerating to be worthy of the angels who chose to risk living and bring color to our lives. We were now at the tables waiting for lunch. The kids had been a bit fussy, and Victoria still refused to let me carry her. Verónica kept teasing me about it.
"Honey, I'm going to cool them off a bit, the heat is making them cranky."
We were all dressed in white. Verónica wore an outfit that showed off her body; it wasn't tight, but if I put a fan on, it would lift, and just imagining my wife in her underwear, I get hard... think about something else.
"Should I come with you?" She looked at me and realized I wanted to grope her.
"No, the kids need my attention, the big kid can wait a bit." I smiled.
The men stayed at the table, even Raúl. —I laughed again—. He was the man in that relationship because my cousin was a complete drama queen. I never thought of looking for my mother's family in the past; maybe things would have been different. As Father Gabriel says, things happen exactly as they should.
"Congratulations."
I said to Gustavo and Aníbal. The latter couldn't stop looking at his hand where he wore the ring. Gustavo smiled, and Aníbal raised his hand.
"It might be silly, but this ring shows me I have something sacred in my life."
"Those are sacred words for us who are demons," commented Simón.
"It feels damn strange to be married," commented Gustavo. "I used to see it as something impossible to have, and when you guys got married and I saw you happy, I wanted the same. Now I'm going to be a dad."
"Brother, now you'll know how delicious it is to have a woman daily caring for your dreams," commented Miguel.
