Chapter 227 - In Search of a Son - mdtres
Luisa
"No, he didn't tell me, he just wants to talk to the seven of you."
I also had to share the other news, but that was just for my husband. I looked at Simón. He had already mentioned that he noticed my breasts looked bigger. He had a keen eye.
"Well, whatever it is, we'll find out tomorrow," my brother commented.
One of my nephews started crying, Roland grabbed a bottle and held Liam, and Verónica copied my idea of using colors to identify them.
"Simón," I said, pulling out the pregnancy test and handing it to him. Seeing my husband's face made my chest swell with joy.
"We're closing the factory. I'm not going to disconnect, but now I'm really going to plan."
Simón kissed me, then knelt down and kissed our two daughters and my belly. I had seen a tremendous level of coldness in him when it came to operations; he was undoubtedly a tough man, and I liked that. But at home, I saw his noble, tender side, the one he only showed to family, and that had me head over heels.
"I love you. My wedding gift can't compare to this."
"And what was it?" he asked, with that mischievous look of a mature man who would be turning forty in a couple of months.
"It was going to be a good session of lovemaking, but that's not possible now." I covered my face; he was impossible.
"Sometimes I don't know who's more uncouth, my brother or you."
"I don't know what you were talking about, but that title belongs to Mojón."
I grabbed the doll Andrea was holding and threw it at my brother. My daughter cried, and Simón picked her up.
"There, there, my little one, it's okay, mommy was rude," he said. I covered my face again. How could I adore this man so much? "Should we share the news?" I was about to say no and wait until tomorrow, but then Miguel arrived.
"What news?" he asked. I rolled my eyes and shrugged.
"We're going to be parents again."
"And we have the nerve to tell Inés we're not rabbits!" Miguel exclaimed.
We laughed, and everyone hugged us. I held Milena and received all the congratulations and hugs from my brother. All the pain from the past seemed to have vanished, and now I felt complete.

Gladis
I was waiting for Gustavo to come out of the bathroom. I had been thinking about it for days; it was better to tell him. I had stopped taking precautions two months ago, and I still wasn't pregnant. I saw how happy he was with Enrique, and I knew he wanted more children. I didn't think I had any issues conceiving, but that would be the last thing I needed in my tragic life. Now that I had a good man, ignoring when he was a jerk.
They arrived home very tired today. I had no idea what he was up to with my son. Since we arrived, he had been going out with his father—Gus had undoubtedly earned that title. And Enrique would come home, drink water, and then fall asleep. Today he mentioned something about training to be a good agent. Since his rescue, no one could get that idea out of his head; he believed they were undercover agents for some organization.
My husband came out. Because of my insecurities, I had been an idiot and almost lost him. Once I put those stupidities aside, I couldn't have been happier. I had made myself miserable for no reason, as Shirly had said before I sorted things out with Gus.
She had suggested looking for his mother. She also said that many women could pass by, but I had to trust and position myself in every possible way to be an exemplary woman so he wouldn't look at anyone else. For now, I had realized they were men of their word and followed the ideals of Roland, Simón, and Miguel.
"Sweetheart, when you wrinkle your forehead like that, it means something's bothering you. Come on, spill it."
"I need to talk to you about something very serious. Come here." Now he wrinkled his forehead.
"Darling, don't tell me you don't want to get married now..."
"Oh, God! Make a name for yourself and go to sleep," I said, smiling as he realized it wasn't anything bad or at least nothing to worry about. "I'm not going to let you go, my man," I sighed. "Gus, I stopped taking precautions two months ago." His eyes lit up, and it pained me to disappoint him. "I'm not pregnant. You know I had my period last week."
He started to furrow his brow, he must have been doing the math. If there was one thing I admired about him, it was his ability to do more than two things at once, and that in a man was extraordinary.
"Do you want babies?" he smiled. "According to your menstrual cycle, your ovulation starts tomorrow."
I smiled. Who would see him so serious and quiet, yet he was a sweetheart when our bedroom doors closed. I nodded. He lay on top of me.
"Wait, it's been two months and nothing. I'm afraid I might not be able to get pregnant."
"Oh, come on! It's just a matter of working hard on the key days. Anyway, if you want, we can get tested."
"I do want that. You want many kids, and look, now Simon is expecting again, and so is Miguel. I don't want to fall behind with your children." He burst out laughing. He was so handsome when he smiled, even though he wasn't conventionally attractive. "Clari is also nervous, she suspects she might be pregnant too." He laughed again. "What’s so funny?"
"Onion said this afternoon that Ines was right, we look like rabbits, reproducing overnight."
"Luisa already said she was closing the factory."
"She’s just putting it on hold, the boss has forbidden her from dismantling it."
Now I was the one laughing out loud. These guys came up with the funniest things. There was a knock on the door.
"Keep it down, there's a kid next door." That was Arnold. He was the worst of all.
"Get lost, Turd, don't bother us!"
Not only did we hear Arnold's laughter but also Anibal's. Arnold's room was next to ours, the kids' rooms were in the other corridor. For now, there were ten rooms in The Rebirth, and now Roland was considering adding more. Vero was the one who hadn't let him.
"And you too, Churrusco!" Those two were the youngest of the wolf pack, as I called them initially.
"Wasn't he supposed to arrive tomorrow?" He started shaking his head.
"I bet one of my balls he came because Lupe was arriving today. He mentioned something about the girl's indifference. She's not rude, but… When you women say, how did he put it? Something like 'when you have the balls to have me to yourself, look for me to see if I still want you.' Something like that."
"She laid it out straight," I said.
"Anibal told him word for word, 'she wants it all, but with conditions, privileges, and restrictions. Otherwise, you'll never have her,' and he didn't like that."
"Something like that, but more subtle," I said. "Do you guys tell each other everything?"
"Honestly, no, just what we want to share. And apparently, Arnold is affected because his Tadpole is ignoring him. He arrived on Wednesday. He deserves it, that airhead has always been our headache."
"He's also the one you love the most."
"He's our little brother." He took off the towel, revealing that charming penis.
"As soon as we get to Colombia on Wednesday, make an appointment at the clinic, talk to Dr. Mendoza. He's not a gynecologist, but have him refer you to the best and get me out of that appointment, Queen, you know I don't like those things."
"Thank you."
I was happy. With my previous partner, I couldn't express my opinion. I was afraid to speak because if he didn't like it, it was either a blow or a horrible insult from him. But Gustavo, even though he must have done the worst things, had always respected and valued me as a woman. He started undressing me, and without hesitation, I let myself be carried away by those rough hands that I liked so much.
"You're so soft, Queen."
He had completely undressed me. The orgasms provided by Gus, in fact, with him was when I had my first orgasm. With my ex-husband, I never knew what it was to feel like a woman. He only satisfied himself while my Gus first gave me my release. Then he went for his, and almost always, my husband provided two incredible orgasms.
"We have a lot of work to do, Gladis, there's a baby to make." I pulled his hair and devoured his mouth, then surrendered to his control...
