Chapter 213 - Who Wants to Fuck Us? - meters
Miguel
"That's right," I commented.
On one hand, we were calm. Our kids were heading towards Arenal, it was safe there, and Arnold was escorting them. Now we had to face the bastards who dared to ruin our short vacation.
"Cherry, Onion," called Rat. "In one kilometer, stop the cars. We need to set up signs so no cars pass. We need to create a distraction, like an accident with fatalities, to stop travelers. On the other side, we can't do anything, but at least we can minimize civilian casualties."
That's what we did. Wolf and Mole got out and placed the no-passing signs due to the accident. From the car Cherry was driving, Zombie and Clot got out, then got back in the car. We repeated this operation for six hundred meters. When we finished, we took off again at a considerable speed.
"In another kilometer, we'll stop. They’ll crash into us in less than ten minutes. We need to block the cars. Only Onion and I will face them directly."
"We'll be with you, Rat," commented Churrusco.
"You don't have the bulletproof suits we do, so you'll stay behind the cars, which are armored. Now!"
At that moment, Cherry and I turned, blocking the cars on the road, facing each other. Rat continued monitoring the satellite. We got out, Rat and I put on our hoods, and went for the weapons. Ass-scratcher took the bazooka and positioned himself between us two. He would shoot one of the cars, then the other two would be our responsibility, each armed with our bulletproof vests.
"Who wanted to take my kids?" We were all in position.
"We'll find out soon. At least we need to leave a couple alive. We'll interrogate them," commented Rat. "At my signal, guys, remember, we need to leave at least a couple injured, the rest, take them all out."
We saw the lights. Ass-scratcher took position. This bastard never missed, having practiced with Rat for years.
"You set the pace."
I imagine that natural gift Simon had was what allowed him to coordinate us and fit us together like a clockmaker with perfection. He knew our capabilities and worked us in a way that we became an impenetrable block. The cars accelerated, none of us flinched. When the exact moment came, Gustavo fired.
The first car took the hit, flying and exploding. The others lost their balance due to the shockwave, very close to us. Ass-scratcher knew exactly when to shoot. He returned to where the others were behind the cars, while Rat and I were hit by bullets. Our people started shooting too, just like us, and we got closer.
There were ten men left, getting out of the cars, trying to protect themselves from our attack. There must have been fewer now. Even in the dark, we rarely missed. Simon took one who unloaded his entire weapon on our operations captain. It was true they didn't kill us, but tomorrow we'd be bruised all over.
He shot one in the head and grabbed by the neck the one who had emptied his weapon into his chest. There was one hiding, and I went for him. The rest of the team approached. They weren't shooting at us anymore. We had two captives.
"Wolf, Zombie, and Mueco," called Rat.
"Sir?" asked Wolf.
"Take care of cleanup. There are civilian cars. Don't worry. I've already installed the tracking system. If anyone is recording, it will be erased as soon as the system identifies a face of any of us."
The guys set about putting the bodies in one of the attackers' cars.
"As usual or different treatment?"
Wolf asked again. He was one of the men we had trained last time, along with the doctor. We were creating good protectors. I looked at Rat. He thought for a second. I don't think we'll do what we used to do.
"Different treatment. Leave them at a police station. Disguise yourselves."
They took the two attackers' cars, filled with dead bodies, and would leave them at the first police station.
"We'll wait for you at Arenal," Rat looked at me.
"Tie these two up," I said. "The night will be long. Let's go to the warehouse to interrogate them."
"Cherry," he called, and he came to our side. "They knew your wife was at the clinic." We looked at him. "I heard the information Mojón uploaded to SSCTC. Go get Clarisa, get her out of there, take our women to Blanco," he pointed to me and himself. "Once they arrive, have the plane come back for us, and have Clarisa admitted to the Blanco clinic."
"Churrusco, go get Gladis and Shirly. We'll meet at Arenal. Inés will travel with Luisa and Diana. We can't risk her pregnancy, and my wife will help defend," our phones started ringing. It was Roland. I answered.
"Boss."
"What the hell is going on?! I just talked to Arnold. What's Rata planning?"
"We're splitting the trip. Cereza is traveling with Luisa, Diana, Inés, and Clarisa on the first flight. Talk to Dr. Jones; Clarisa is still recovering."
"That's not a problem. What about the rest?"
"We'll travel later. We have two captives, and we want to interrogate them."
"Veronica says they were speaking Japanese."
"No one here speaks that language."
"Put them on speaker. Veronica will translate for us."
"Yes, sir."
"Be careful. I don't want any of them dead. Excellent work. Follow Rata's instructions."
"Thank you, Boss." I exchanged a look with Rata.
"Alright, Cereza, even if Luisa screams, cries, or throws a fit, you take her. I'll return with my daughters. I want her far away, and convince her to support you while you pilot. Tell her to call Any and fill her in. The enemy's cars left with the dead, Lobo in one, Zombi and Mueco in the other. Cereza left with Churrusco, Mole, and Cuajao."
"I'll wait for you at Arenal. Cereza, take care of my wife. An ambulance will be waiting for you at Blanco." We didn't reveal anything else. The boys shouldn't know Roland was alive. "One question, Astrid, should we take her or leave her?"
"Take her, Miguel. She's loyal, and my cabbage likes her. I'll take my mother-in-law. She's at the clinic."
"Perfect."
In the other car, we put the two guys. One was Japanese, and the other looked Italian. I took the wheel, Rata was in the passenger seat, and Rasca culo was with the prisoners. Some cars followed to Bogotá; we returned to Villavicencio, to the warehouse we had, although it was no longer ours, but it was still empty. On the way back, Rata removed the signals. Anyone passing by would see the burnt car on the side. I called Diana.
"Beast." I noticed the calm in her voice now that I called.
"Little one, are you okay?" I could hear her now. I don't know what it is, but her voice calmed me.
"Yes, I already talked to Lupe. Isaac is fine. All the kids are calm. They took them to the farm. Are you okay?"
"I'm in one piece. See you tomorrow. Listen to Cereza."
"I don't want to..."
"Diana!" I heard her sigh. "Now you'll be a good girl, no tantrums, and we'll see each other tomorrow."
"Fine, treating me like a child will cost you sleeping on the couch."
"You don't have to mix things up! Wanting to protect you isn't a reason to forbid me from making love to you. On the contrary, I'm a prince." Rata and Rasca culo burst out laughing.
"Are they listening to our conversation?!" she yelled. "BEAST!" I smiled, she must be beautiful with her red cheeks.
"I'm driving. We'll talk at El Oasis."
"You'll have to shout from the couch. I hate that you treat me..."
"Little one, you're pregnant. If we have to run, jump, or leap, what would you do? You'd lose the baby." She went silent.
"See you later." She was angry. That little girl was tough.
"Thanks for understanding."
"That doesn't mean you won't sleep on the couch."
"I love you too."
"Just take care and come back with Isaac." I ended the call.
"You won't be the only one kicked out of the room. When I call Luisa, it'll get worse. She still doesn't understand that even if she knows how to handle all the weapons in the world and all the combat techniques, I can't have her near an operation. She distracts me."
"Tell her that."
"Telling her will cost me a month outside the room, and I can't go a day." We were screwed.
"Once again, Mojón is right," Gustavo commented, and we laughed.
"Yes, we're a pile of crap with our women."
We said at the same time. We arrived at the warehouses. It was one in the morning. We got the guys out, sat them in some chairs, Rata positioned himself in front of them, I held one, and Rasca culo the other.
"Let's make this simple. Do you understand my language? Don't play hard to get. You're going to die anyway. I'll just give you the option to die without pain or be tortured. What do you choose?" The one who looked Italian glanced at the other who started speaking in Japanese.
"He says he doesn't understand the language." That was Mrs. Veronica's voice. We looked at each other at that moment.
"Ma'am, sorry for what you're about to hear."
"There are things I can understand. If they came for my children, I wouldn't be so kind. Just try to stay on the path of redemption." With that, she finished us off.
"Please ask him. Who hired him and why do they want to mess with us?"
