Chapter 21 - You Must Kiss Me Like This - mduno
"What if something happens to me, asshole? I should have looked at him or shown him that I cared from miles away. And I'm glad he understood."
"If you value your hands at all, never touch her again." Jhon raised his hands and walked away from us.
"Did I need your permission to dance with someone?" Veronica spoke.
"No."
"No what?" I looked at her and let out the bitterness I had.
"I wouldn't like to see you with another man." She was stunned, and I moved closer to her. "I can't stand seeing you in another man's arms. I don't want you farther away from me than you are now."
"Jealous?" She asked with a cheerful tone.
"I have no idea what that shit is, but if it feels like your stomach is eating itself and your guts are twisting, then yes, I'm jealous." She smiled.
"That's how I feel when I see you with your women."
"I have no women, Veronica, you know that." I caressed her face, and she leaned in a bit. We were face to face. "I just want to dance with you and have you close."
"Your wish is my command." I smiled.
"And then you say you wouldn't submit to me." I hugged her, and we started dancing. She danced very well.
"I wouldn't submit in that way and certainly not to that degree."
I rested my chin on her forehead and hugged her a little tighter. She felt so fragile, and the desire to protect her was intoxicating.
"It's just a matter of teaching well."
"Are you proposing something, Mr. Roland?" I laughed.
"Not yet, Miss Veronica, not yet." We continued dancing, unaware of anything else.
"Roland, everyone has already left, and your men are yawning." I smiled, not having noticed.
"Are you tired?"
"Very." I took her hand and walked out with her. When we reached the door of her room, she asked, "Is your room the one next door?"
"Yes."
"That door..." she pointed to the left, even though it wasn't visible. "Does it connect to your room?" She opened the door.
"Yes. Why?"
She turned around, one foot inside and the other outside, with the indecision of whether to let me in or say goodnight and let me sleep well.
"Don't even think about coming in at midnight," she replied.
"I wasn't planning to. It's just in case we need to run and I can rescue you."
"How heroic!" she said, smiling.
"There's nothing heroic about me, Veronica." What was happening to me? Was I nervous? "That light blue dress looks perfect on you." She blushed. "Tomorrow we'll be free until two in the afternoon. I'd like to show you some places. Would you like to go?" My heart was racing because it depended on her acceptance.
"What time will you pick me up?"
"Early."
I hadn't realized I was holding my breath. I was screwed! I got lost in her honey-colored eyes. We had gotten so close that her lips touched my lower lip.
I was petrified for the first time and did nothing while she turned very red, her gaze filled with embarrassment. She regretted kissing me... It wasn't that I didn't want it; the problem was that I didn't know what to do. I had never allowed such closeness.
"I'm sorry, goodnight, Roland." She locked herself in her room.
I walked like a zombie to mine with a burning sensation on my lip. It had been over twenty years since a woman last kissed me. Even though it wasn't on the mouth, she was the reason I never allowed kisses during sex. Kisses were treacherous. She taught me that very well. I sat on the bed, caressing my lip, still feeling her breath.
I didn't sleep a wink, regretting soon after not having taken her and kissed her until I was satisfied because that's what I wanted. I needed to satisfy myself with her. It was three in the morning, and my erection from the wet dream I had about the girl next door forced me to take a shower.
I dressed in shorts, a T-shirt, and running shoes. I took a swimsuit, put it in my backpack, and entered her room. She was wearing a small blue robe showing off her entire butt. I felt the same as in my dream. The cheeky girl had me drooling. I threw the sheet over her to avoid seeing her tempting butt.
"Veronica, get up." I had to shake her a bit, and she complained. "I told you I'd come by early."
"Roland, early is one thing, but this is the middle of the night. I think it's still the middle of the night," she said through gritted teeth, her eyes closed.
"Get up, sleepyhead. You like running. Come on, the sunrise on the beach is one of the few things I like. Let's go, lazy."
"I'm not lazy!" She sat up, wrapped herself in the sheet, and walked to the closet. "Are we going running?"
"Yes, also bring your swimsuit."
"I have scars," she commented.
"Only I'll see them, beautiful."
Veronica looked at me, understanding the word I had said. "Beautiful?" Luckily, she didn't say anything and went to the bathroom. Half an hour later, she came out.
"The sun is almost up, and we're still here."
"It's only four in the morning, Roland. I need to brush my hair."
She had her swimsuit under her top and very tight running pants. She had a lovely figure, nice curves, and it was the first time she wore tight clothes.
"What are you laughing at?" I moved closer as she made a ponytail.
"Veronica..."
"Yes." She turned around, and we were face to face.
"The next time you kiss me..." she tried to say something. "You must..."
The impulse was inevitable; my hands joined around her delicate neck, and with overwhelming passion, I kissed her. She continued the kiss until we were breathless, and we had to pull away a bit.
"You should kiss me like that," she smiled, caressing my scalp.
"This is another order I want to follow."
We kissed again, just as intense but less desperate. I liked her breath; I pressed her body against mine, squeezed her hips, and led her to the wall without stopping the kiss.
"If we stay here, I won't see the sunrise." I smiled, without touching her, and I was already this excited?
"You're right." I took her hand, and we left.
It was just Verónica and me, jogging along the beaches of Rodadero, running side by side on one of the most beautiful beaches in Colombia. We reached the boat where they were waiting for me. I took her hand and helped her onto the small boat that would take us to the yacht.
"Where are you taking me?"
"Trust me." I held her by the waist.
"I always have." Her comment surprised me.
"You should be a little afraid of me." It wasn't a lie; it wasn't what she deserved.
"You wouldn't hurt me, Roland. You never would." Her trust pleased me.
"To Taganga."
The sun was already rising, and the sea breeze at the speed we were going made her hug herself. I wrapped my arms around her from behind and nestled my nose in her hair.
"What shampoo and perfume do you use?"
"Find out."
I smiled. I kissed her neck; she tilted her head to give me access to her skin. I turned her around to face me, and the sun greeted us with a kiss. I explored every corner of her mouth with my tongue and liked how she bit my lower lip.
"I'm good at finding things out."
"I've never doubted it."
I had a strange happiness, and that feeling made me fearful. I was a man with an empire at my feet, and only today did I realize that I had nothing.
"We're here. Do you know how to swim?"
"Yes, why?" I took off my shirt. "You are quite the masculine spectacle." I felt heat in my neck. "Are you blushing, Mr. Roland?" I was down to my swim trunks. She started taking off her clothes, revealing her swimsuit.
"You have three moles..."
"You're so observant. Yes, my mother called them the Three Wise Men."
"What?" I couldn't help but laugh. "Those kings will become my favorites, and I'll kiss them very soon."
She blushed even more without stopping looking at me. She looked at her legs and saw her scars, covered with gauze.
"I didn't bring more gauze to change them, Roland."
"There must be a pharmacy in town." Verónica's skin was beautiful. "And you have..."
"Shut up." I burst out laughing. "Don't you dare say anything about my body." I hugged her; her skin burned me.
"You have the best body I've ever seen, with the particularity that it burns me every time I do this."
I caressed her back and felt her skin bristle at my touch. When I reached the start of her buttocks, I stopped. Her chest was heaving, and to my surprise, so was mine. I knew I could continue; I had her permission, her skin confirmed it, but I wasn't ready. She was a blank book, so I had to think very carefully if I wanted to become her ink.
"Ducks in the water!"
She was puzzled. I lifted her and jumped into the sea with her. She screamed, clinging to me as we fell, and we let go upon impact with the water. I surfaced, and she did too, splashing water at me.
"Warn me so I can prepare!"
She got laughter out of me. We swam to the shore. The boatman arrived first with our belongings; shoes, wallet, and the phone rang. It was Simón.
"Rat."
I answered, as Verónica surely disapproved of me calling him by his nickname.
"Where the hell are you, Boss?" He must have been angry.
"In paradise."
She sat next to me, her eyes shining like the sun behind her.
"With the lady, or is she no longer one?" The saying "make a name for yourself and go to sleep" was true.
"She still is." She blushed, understanding we were talking about her virginity. "I'm in Taganga. Come pick us up after noon, and bring gauze and tape. Don't you dare show up earlier."
"Who are you with?"
"The Captain and his assistant."
"Perfect." Verónica took my hand.
"My virginity has been a topic of conversation between you two, hasn't it?"
"More like a topic between my reason and my awakened conscience. My life is a different world from yours. However, knowing there were still innocent women in that regard surprised us a bit." I caressed her forehead. "Come."
Simón called the Captain and must have said something because he kept his eyes on me. We walked along the beach, had breakfast at a small eatery, and I was tempted to book a room. However, I didn't think it was appropriate.
I discarded the idea and we walked along the beach again, staying a while on the rocks. I didn't know what to do; I had brought her here to lock her up and have sex with her. I checked the time; Rat must have arrived by now.
"We need to go back, Beautiful, they're waiting for us." She hugged me.
"Thank you." She buried her face in my chest.
"For what?"
"I know what I mean."
I didn't understand her. We walked back, hugging. And that's how we stayed until we reached the hotel. What did she mean by, "I know what I mean"?
