Chapter 207 - Happy Woman, Happy Marriage - mdtres
Daniel
There had been few times when I imposed anything in our marriage. His motto was "happy wife, happy life." His lip trembled, and his brown eyes filled with tears. I knew what he was afraid of.
"No... you've always said you don't like women with silicone." There you go, just like Inés says, the fish dies by its mouth. "And if they take my breast, you won't look at me the same, while chemo..."
"It will destroy you." I caressed her face. "You always complain that I'm not attentive or affectionate, but you know how I feel about you, and I show it. But if I have to resort to being cheesy with all that romantic stuff, I will." She furrowed her brow, trying to speak.
"If flowers, chocolates, serenades, details, and trips guarantee that I'll keep looking at your body and enjoying it, even without breasts or touching silicone, I'll do it."
"Are you blackmailing me, Daniel Bermúdez?"
"Take it as you want. I'm just ensuring you stay alive, and in turn, I keep breathing so our kids aren't left orphaned."
She looked at me with anger, then furrowed her brow... She was considering it. I learned something living with the best negotiator in the world; Roland always got his way. I didn't look away. Instead, she bit her inner lip and made those faces that always turned me on.
"If you keep doing that, I won't care that we're in a clinic."
"Stop being so horny!" I saw that sparkle in her eyes that I loved, but it faded again. "Will you really keep looking at me the way you do now?"
"Clarisa, like you told me when I asked you to marry me. If we don't try, we won't know if we work. So far, marrying you has been the best decision. You have many charms, and you know how to drive me crazy. I just need you by my side for whatever life throws at us. Think about our kids."
"Stop manipulating me. I may decide everything concerning the house, and you seem like the obedient lamb, but you know that's not true. I'm always at your mercy, just smelling you makes me surrender."
I laughed, I couldn't fight with her, or at least I couldn't. I cradled her face.
"I'm not going to waste the chance to see a romantic Daniel and Cereza."
"God, you're going to take advantage, but it's a deal. You get that breast removed today or whenever the doctor is available. I'll push for it to be now."
"Just promise me you won't be disgusted by me." Tears welled up again. I kissed her.
"Never, I love you. I'll go get the doctors."
An hour ago, I said goodbye to Clari. We signed the papers for the removal of both breasts. The second one had just started to show a small spot, and I didn't want to go through this again. I hadn't called anyone except our kids. They were going to operate on her today, during a slot the doctor had. They took her who knows where. Minutes passed, and when I checked the time, it was six. Damn! Inés should have arrived by now. I took my phone and called Arnold.
"I'm here."
I looked down the hallway. Arnold was coming in with Inés by his side, and behind them, Simón with his wife and daughters, Miguel with Diana and Isaac, Gustavo with Gladis, and Enrique and Aníbal with Shirly.
Everything collapsed. Even the tough Cereza broke down. I started crying when I saw my family. Inés's arms extended, and at that moment, I cried again. It was the fourth time in my life, the first two were when they handed my kids to me.
The third was for Roland's death, and now with the fear that everything would go well with my wife. My body trembled in the arms of the woman I recognized as my mother, the one who had been for the past sixteen years, the only one I knew.
"Were you not going to tell me, you big jerk, that my older sister was going through this?"
Arnold hugged me. Arnold had just turned sixteen when Clarisa came into my life. She cherished him like a little brother. I wiped my tears, I needed to regain my composure. Everyone hugged me, and at that moment, Roland called.
"Boss."
"I'm sorry I can't be there at such a tough time. I hope making everyone go there helps a bit. Verónica and I can't because of my restriction, because I can't go to Colombia, and because of the babies. But we're with you."
"Thanks, Roland. Thanks." If I keep talking, I'll start crying again.
"Dr. Mendoza."
I smiled. He must know more about my wife's situation than I do, and I was just a few steps away. I admire his ability to be on top of everything.
"He said you made a very brave decision. Clari will be fine, like Verónica. You'll see, my wife doesn't have her reproductive organs."
"Just don't mess with me now when you see a... romantic Cereza." I heard his laughter.
"Anything goes to keep the reason we stay alive by our side. Besides, you must be well for the triple wedding. Well, Verónica sends her regards, she'll call you later. She's changing all the babies' diapers now, and I need to help her. I'm with you, brother, and so is the Lord."
"Thanks. We'll talk later."
I finished the call, thank goodness the clinic was ours, otherwise this never would have happened. My friends approached, Rata handed me a coffee and a chicken pie.
"I suppose you haven't eaten."
"I haven't even had breakfast. Clarisa gave me the news at four in the morning."
"Clari is strong," said Churrusco. "She won't take long to start scolding us again." We laughed. "Well, she scolds Rasca culo, Mojón, and me." Everyone burst into laughter.
"You can't imagine the joy I felt seeing all of you here. We've always talked about being a family, but for the first time, I really felt that we are."
Everyone looked at me, smiled, and nodded. If we were women, I suppose we'd be hugging. Inés came up to us and hugged me again.
"Thank you, dear." I kissed her on the forehead.
"Everything will be fine, son."
"Say what you will, but I'm the only child of Inés," Aníbal said, lifting her up and making our beautiful black woman scream. "I got her color, while all of you are the milkman's kids." Inés gave Churrusco a playful slap and we all smiled.
"You let everyone else call you old lady, but you scold only me," Arnold complained.
"You call me super old!"
"That means you're much better. It's not my fault they're from another generation."
We burst into laughter. I needed this. Thank you, God. Thank you, Roland. Thank you for sending me my family.
……
Veronica
It was early morning, and I couldn't sleep. The pediatrician said the kids were doing great, and we should leave them in their cribs for longer periods. We also had a meeting with Dr. Jones, who confirmed that we could resume our intimate relations. She asked us to be very careful at first, which had Roland worried since the afternoon. My husband was afraid of hurting me.
So, I would have to take the initiative. Let him know I was ready. I needed to have him inside me. We hadn't done it since I got pregnant. My husband was asleep. I started kissing him, my hand slowly caressing him and taking hold of his member.
I loved feeling how he hardened with my touch. I heard him moan. I was naked, eager to be taken. By the time he reacted, he was already too excited. He took hold of my breast.
"Are you sure, love? I can wait a bit longer."
"You don't even believe that."
I devoured his mouth. He took control. I loved the way Roland savored my body, licking everything in his path. As always, he brought me to the peak when he devoured me with such hunger, delighting in my center. My skin tingled, joy took over my body, and my husband positioned himself between my legs.
"Beautiful, if I hurt you, tell me."
I nodded. It hurt a little, but not too much. My body missed him, needed him. Hearing him, feeling him as he thrust into me, neither too gentle nor too rough, just enough to drive me crazy with desire.
"I love how tight you are," he said in that husky voice. "I can't hold back. My cock missed you."
There he was, so romantic! We let ourselves go, feeling the warmth of his semen inside me again. I hugged him tightly.
"You're a delight, love. Now brace yourself, every time we get a break from the intruders, I'm going to devour you." I laughed. He kissed me again. Dawn was breaking. "I'll be with the workers for a while. I'll help with the kids at six."
"Okay."
"Beautiful, Simon called last night. Clarisa has been moved to intensive care. They need help with the kids, so they asked me to send Lupe. I'll talk to Jacinto. It would be an extra shift for Lupe."
"I like that girl."
"I like how she drives Arnold crazy." I laughed. "She was born with a gift for taking care of children."
It was nine in the morning when Lupe came into the room to say goodbye. I saw her give each of us a blessing.
"I hope to have a lovely family like yours someday, Mrs. Vero."
"You'll never just call me Vero, huh?" She shook her head.
"It's out of respect and gratitude. Ma'am, is it cold in Colombia?"
"Bogotá is. You should bring a jacket, wool sweaters, and a scarf if you have one."
"I don't have one. I'll buy one when I get there. We're staying for four days, that's what Mr. Roland told me."
"If you don't mind, I can lend you some."
"No, thank you. I'm not picky. Besides, I'm saving money. My dad is already spending a lot on the rental room in San Antonio and transportation. I need to help them. He accepted help with my brother from you, but he doesn't want to take advantage anymore."
"It's not taking advantage. You become professionals and then work with us. It's mutual help."
"Mr. Jacinto Sánchez is proud."
I went to my closet, which looked like a clothing store. Roland, Roland. I found a few things she might like and let her choose.
"These three are enough. Thank you, ma'am. I have to go. I leave at noon; my dad will take me."
"I hope you like Colombia. It's my beautiful homeland."
"I hope you get to know Mexico. It's beautiful too." As she reached the door, she stopped. "Can I ask you a very personal question? I've heard you give great advice."
"Of course, Lupe. I'm honored by your trust. I hope I can clear up your doubt. Tell me."
"Do you think you need experience to catch someone's attention?"
