Chapter 192 - What changed with it? - Fars
Arnold
"Stop calling Lupe that," Inés scolded me. "I'm starting to think you like the girl."
"Don't say such blasphemies, keep that viperous tongue of yours away."
I received a thump on the head from Rata and a pinch from Inés. That girl always got on my nerves, she was an expert at it and very untimely, always catching me in my adventures, more than once she saw me with my pants down, no matter how hard I tried, she irritated me.
"She's not my type."
"Good morning." Father entered the kitchen looking at his phone. We all responded to his greeting. "Simón, after analyzing the situation with Verónica, I'm going to postpone my vacation for about two months. She starts chemo in twenty days and then there's that other thing they'll do." He gestured with his hands.
"She'll need to be isolated for another twenty days. That's almost a month and a half. I want to be the father who marries you two and baptizes the quadruplets! What do you think?"
"Rata, arrange everything. Remember, we have the convention in a month. It will have to be postponed."
"Yes, you're right. We'll arrange everything and leave it for two and a half months from now."
"Well, it's time for me to go."
I took the portable cooler and approached Inés. She always gave me her blessing, it was sacred to me. Even when I was in Colombia, I called her in the morning and at night to receive her blessing. I noticed Mrs. Consuelo watching the scene with tenderness.
"In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. May God, the Virgin, and the angels protect you."
I kissed her forehead, took the keys to the truck I had bought a couple of months ago. Although I spent days at Simón and Miguel's house, my permanent residence was here with Roland. I had also bought Roland a thoroughbred, my precious Majestic, a yellow horse. I was driving, entertained, thinking about the message I received from Sandra.
It was no small thing, but she was quite a woman and I liked her a lot. If I had to settle down, it would be with her. A girl on a motorcycle made a strange move, lifted her legs, then jumped. I had to brake suddenly, almost hitting her while she kept screaming. When I got out, I realized it was Renacuaja. Her hair was loose, I had never seen it that way. She usually wore a braid, it was thick and long, very long.
"Are you crazy, Guadalupe?! I almost ran you over!"
By instinct, she jumped towards me, trembling, and I reflexively held her close. She smelled fresh, like a forest, and almonds, which came from her hair. Two scents mixed to create a different, pleasant, or rather delicious aroma. She smelled very nice, a wild scent. I put aside my annoyance with her and focused on what was happening.
"Hey! What's going on?"
"Snake."
I looked at the fallen motorcycle in the middle of the dirt road, with the girl clinging to my side, her legs wrapped around my waist. It wasn't erotic at all, it was a scene of her fear and my discomfort. But I wasn't so heartless as to not help a girl in danger, especially when the family held her in high regard.
"I don't know how it got tangled in the bike's wheel, and I think I crushed it."
She buried her face in my neck, and a shiver ran through my body. Her hair covered her face, and I smiled. That gesture... What am I thinking? She pushed her hair behind her ear, and her skin... change your thoughts. I approached, and indeed there was blood, and the animal was tangled in the bike's spokes.
"How should I call you now? Snake killer? You're one of the few people statistically to experience something like this. Where are you going?"
"I have to be at the clinic by eleven."
"I'm going to the same place." Despite being a tall woman, she looked small next to me. "It was dead, can you get off so I can load the bike into the truck? You bent the front wheel when you fell."
We looked at each other, and I saw fear in those brown eyes framed by thick, long lashes. I hadn't noticed before.
"I'll help you load it, but get rid of the snake," she said, still clinging like a koala.
"I don't like being late anywhere, Lupe." She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "What now?"
"You're not my friend to call me Lupe." Her comment didn't amuse me at all.
"You know I could leave you stranded in the middle of this road with who knows how many more snakes, right?"
She got off, and I stopped feeling her warmth. The sensation of abandonment wasn't pleasant. She walked to the truck and got into the passenger seat. I turned my back and smiled. I removed the dead animal, dragged the bike by the rear wheel, and loaded it onto the truck bed. Then I got into the car.
"Thank you."
"Are you afraid of speed?"
She looked at me again, her eyes were big and very expressive, beautiful, I couldn't deny it. A year ago when I met her, she was very skinny, now her body had changed, had it been about six months since I last saw her? Maybe more. She was the one who told everyone that I had gotten involved with those women.
"Depends on who's driving."
"I hope I'm one of those who give you confidence, we're ten minutes late and I need to make up for it."
She put on her seatbelt, her act of caution made me laugh, she also smiled slightly and the gesture on her mouth made me look away. Stop the train, Arnold! We arrived just in time, I had driven over a hundred and eighty kilometers, I imagine there will be a ticket, but the Pretty-Eyed Tadpole didn't scream, she stayed quiet. We had to run to reach the neonatal area, they were surprised to see us enter all agitated.
"We're here!" said Guadalupe.
"Veronica, this is from Ines." She was pale, feeding Liam, who had an oxygen tube. "Liam didn't have that."
"No." Her eyes welled up. "They did some tests a couple of hours ago, they found out he was having trouble breathing."
"Ma'am, the babies are beautiful."
The Tadpole said while stroking the head of the baby being breastfed. I could only recognize Victoria because she was a girl and Liam for obvious reasons, while Dante and Enrique were identical copies, although they all looked very similar.
"I'm going to need a lot of nannies. Recommend us some of your friends, in two months you start university, right?"
"In about two weeks, I'm going to do two degrees at the same time, one starts earlier and the other in a month."
I also start around that time, more or less. Is she going to university? Two degrees? Which university? She seems smart.
"I'll help you find nannies, Mrs. Luisa and Mrs. Diana also need some." The dark-skinned nurse pulled me, Onion was getting up.
"Take off your shirt and put this on."
I did as she said, Lupe was opening one of the thermoses Ines had sent and handed it to the lady, who started drinking it. Roland was sleeping with his daughter on his chest. The baby Miguel was holding was passed to me.
"Say hello to your godfather."
I smiled at the idea of being the godfather, I never imagined the Boss would give me that honor, I owed so much to this family. Who knows what would have become of me if I hadn't run into Rat's network, I had already started using drugs at twelve... The Tadpole's shouts of happiness made me turn to look at her.
And a nurse sat me on the couch where Onion had been, next to Gustavo, the view wasn't bad at all. Guadalupe had taken off her shirt and was left in a sports bra, the kind women wear to the gym, she moved that long and beautiful brown hair aside, she had a small waist, some hips...
And not to mention her butt, it was clear she still had a girl's body, when she becomes an adult woman she'll have an amazing body. She'll be a knockout. They lifted Gustavo, the baby on his chest, to hand him to Lupe. For some reason, she was happy.
"Excuse me for a moment."
She told the nurse, she approached me, her hair tickled me and once again the scent she gave off reached my nose, her attention was for Enrique.
"Hello, love. I'm going to be your godmother," she got closer to kiss his little head and her breath electrified my whole body. What the hell was that?
"Hello, Lupe."
Roland had gotten up, when she raised her face, her breasts were fully visible, damn!
"Have they told you the news yet?"
"What an honor you give me by asking, that someone like me be the godmother of one of your children." Are we going to be Enrique's godparents?
"What do you mean, someone like me?" We looked at Veronica. "Keep saying that and I'll pull your ears."
The shorter nurse moved the Tadpole away and the dark-skinned one put a blanket over me, I appreciated it because my dick had gotten hard.
"Miguel, Gustavo, thank you so much," said Roland. "I don't know how to repay your help right now."
"You know how to, Heaven." The spouses looked at each other.
"It's nothing, see you in the afternoon."
Said Gustavo. Lupe tied up that beautiful, abundant, and long hair to be comfortable with Dante on her chest, seeing her already seated with the baby on her chest, or well, on her breasts... I envied that baby. What the hell was I thinking?
