193 - Murphy (Warning - Dom)
193 - Murphy (Warning - Dom)
Take care of her, she deserves happiness. All four of you do. - Dom
Priscilla’s face was still turned up to the sky with light raindrops kissing her skin when her three handsome men turned around to see her for the first time that day. Denver did not even try to hide his actions when he swiped the tears away from his eyes. Porthos stood in the center and slid his arms around both their waists.
Their arms slid around him, and Geo laid his head on his husband’s shoulder. They smiled as Molly kissed Priscilla’s temple before gently swiping away the raindrops on her cheeks. She smiled at her dad as tears slowly crept down her face.
A light rain continued to fall, and their white shirts slowly started to stick to their skin. The bride made the rest of the way to her grooms. As she reached them, they pulled her in and held her close.
When the weather forecast gave a slight chance for rain, the men offered to move the wedding inside. Priscilla shook her head and then told them what Becks had said just before her own vow renewal. All three of them knew what the light rain meant to their woman.
Cocooning her in a hug, they held her as she cried softly. After a moment, she dabbed her lilac-colored silk handkerchief at her eyes and quietly told them that she was okay. They shifted and placed her in the center in front of Denver with Porthos on one side and Geo on the other.
Denver wrapped his arms around her waist and gently took her cascading bouquet as the other two men took her hands. Trigg looked at the foursome before him and could not help but smile at them. Looking behind them he smiled at his friend.
“Dude,” Trigg said to Molly and pointed a finger at Geo, “don’t even, asshole. They have three kids and after what I learned earlier, you already gave her to them when you fixed the pitchfork.”
“Hell, yeah!” Chance called out and Rye smacked his arm as she laughed. “What? Sex in the hay barn is practically a family tradition.”
“So is getting caught having sex in the hay barn,” Werewolf declared.
“I swear! Nothing happened!” his middle son declared with a nervous crack in his voice.
“Please,” Charlotte laughed. “I’m pretty sure that’s where Colton was conceived.”
“See?” Colton told his wife. “I told you that our daughter was not the first Lowery to be conceived there.”
“Good God,” Trigg shook his head and looked over at where Alana typically sat. “Your kids don’t surprise me, I mean….”
“Because I’m a slut?” Alana asked.
“Well,” he appeared to think for a moment, “yeah.”
“That’s fair,” Alana shrugged.
“Excuse me,” Aramis asked tapping Trigg on his shoulder. “Are they getting married? Or are we going to discuss my aunts sex life? Both of them are going to take a little time. One more than the other.”
“My sex life will take longer,” Alana proudly declared.
“I do not need to know where I was conceived,” Werewolf declared dryly.
“That’s good, because I’m not exactly certain if it was-“
All four of her children loudly objected, causing the rest of the Lowery family to laugh. Trigg chuckled as Priscilla looked at her men.
“Are you sure that you want to join this crazy ass family?” she asked with a grin.
“Without a single doubt, Doll,” Denver told her.
“Baby Girl,” Porthos grinned at her, “I’ve unofficially been part of this family for years. I’m ready to make it official. Or at least Saints official.”
“Angel,” Geo laughed, “have you met my grandmother? If not, I’ll have her pause her audio book so I can introduce you.”
“I don’t have an audio book going,” Memaw objected. “But I’m willing to hear about her sex life.”
Trigg grinned, “I like her audio books. The one last night had some great ideas.”
“I don’t need details on that either,” Werewolf informed him.
“And yet, here we are.” Charlotte said as she and her siblings all laughed.
Looking back at Alana, Trigg told her, “I liked it better when they were picking on you.” As Alana shrugged, he looked back at Molly who still stood behind his daughter and her men. “What the hell are you still doing here? After the pitchfork conversation, we all know that you approve of the marriage. Go sit your ass down.”
He waited until Molly was sitting in the middle of the row, surrounded by his pretties, little pretties and four sons. “If anyone has any objections…”
The garden fell silent as his words trailed off. As he looked over at the place where Dom had stood for all the Saints wedding in the garden behind the Shack. If he looked hard enough, he could picture her still standing there. He could see her using that ridiculously large knife of hers to clean out from under her nails.
Only one person knew for certain what happened. Murphy was not going to tell anyone. She came into the little bar over at Pops Place one night about a year ago, sat down at the bar and asked for a bottle of whiskey and two shot glasses. After placing one shot glass upside down, she drank a shot in silent salute and then emptied two bottles by herself.
In the morning, Trigg took her up to his room and told her to take a shower. She sat in his room, drinking coffee, picking at a breakfast that Sid had brought over from Mia’s restaurant, The Cookie Jar. They had never really spoken before, but she opened up that morning, and he understood what had happened the night before.
“We were all recruited off death row. It wasn’t until after I signed up that I found out that the military hasn’t executed since 19-fucking-65. They’d be happy to just let us all sit in a cell and die. But they already spent all this money to train us, they might as well get their money’s worth.”
“Dom was probably the most likely to actually be executed. She killed an NCO, officer, warrant, somebody, in the middle of a fucking bar. Camshaft, Rye’s dad, he’s the first one that actually got killed. He told us that he was going to die. Discovered something that he should not have. That’s when we realized that you don’t get to retire. There’s always a target on your back.”
“She had a big target, with an even bigger reward. She had a contract on her head at one point for half a mill. I guess they’ll try to collect on that now.”
Whip, Emily and their kids moved in the middle of the night, and no one had heard from them since. Murphy did not even know where they were.
The distinctive sound of a bullet being loaded into a rifle pulled Trigg out of his personal thoughts. Everyone turned to see Murphy holding her freshly loaded gun with the barrel up. Her long-range scope was currently in the primary position.
“New complaint department is now open. Lodge your complaint and start running.”
