Chapter 55

Alexa

I was feeling much better today, better than the last few days and I have Zade by my side to support me.

I thought nothing could elate my mood even more but Zade had just agreed to letting us go on a vacation to my hometown.

I have missed my friends and family and I just wanted to reconnect and catch up with them because if how long I have been away.

I was in his arms as I melted into him happily after he had agreed to allow us go there.

He had shared his thoughts and worries about going there but I reassured him nothing was going to happen and he calmed down.

“You should start packing or better still tell Cloris to pack your things for you, we would be living in the morning,” he said to me and I hugged him even tighter than before.

After a few minutes of being in his arms, I let go as I made to stand up and go to my room.

“Where are you going?” Zade questioned worriedly and I smiled at him.

He was cute.

“I’m going to pack my things Zade, just as you had instructed earlier,” I say as my smile grew bigger.

“Oh-“ he let out and let my hand go. “We’ll go so you can come back to me sooner,” he added and I smiled even wider.

I smiled at him as I turned around and made my way to the door, I got to the door, opened it and made my way out and headed to my room.

As much as I hated to admit it, I missed Cloris and I couldn’t wait to see her again.

When I got to my room, I opened my door and saw that my room was different.

Was I the one that made the changes and couldn’t remember?

I brushed it off and moved to my closet to pick out clothes and I noticed all my clothes had either been altered or they weren’t there at all.

What the actual fuck?

I went into the bathroom to check too and noticed the same thing, all my things that I loved had been changed and I let out a scream in frustration.

“What’s wrong?” Cloris asked as she rushed into the room, confusion written all over her face and I just started back at her blankly as she took in the state of my room and closet.

She didn’t need to be told anything as I saw her face change from worry to shock at the state of my room.

Brianna really had audacity, did she think she was going to get away with this?

Is that why she changed every single thing in my room?

The bitch doesn’t even have taste, all the things she replaced my things with were horrible.

I mean who wears clothes with hideous colors and design.

“Ugh,” I let out frustrated.

“Are you the real Alexa?” Cloris questioned warily and I could not help but smile.

If I was not the real Alexa would I admit it?

Funny girl.

“No im not, im the witch,” I replied her as I tried to contain my laugh at the look on her face.

I couldn’t take it anymore and I burst into laughter.

“It’s not funny your highness,” she said to me as she blushed red at my expense.

“Of course it is,” I say admist laughter. “Just look at your face,” I say again as I calmed myself, “but why are you calling me ‘your highness’?” I questioned and she looked down at the floor.

“Well when the fake Alexa was here, she bullied me about my name and slapped me when I called her by her name so I’m just trying to be careful,” she replied me, saying everything in one breathe.

“She slapped you?” I asked angrily and she nodded her head.

“Oh my. I’m so sorry,” I say to her softly as I moved closer to her but she flinched back in fear.

She was still not sure if I was really me but I didn’t relent in walking to her, when I got to her, I enveloped her into a hug and she seemed tense at first but after a few seconds, she just melted in my touch not holding back.

“You don’t need to be sorry, it’s not your fault,” she said softly while still in my arms.

She sounded like she was holding back tears, like she didn’t want me to see her being vulnerable but I really could not care less.

“I know but still-“ I say to her and that seemed to do the trick as she let herself cry. “Oh sweet girl,” I cooed as I rubbed her hair to soothed her.

“I immediately knew she was not you because of the way she was behaving, you would never be like that,” she confessed and I felt a tug in my heart. She knew what I could and couldn’t do, I hugged her even tighter and when she had finally let everything out, I released her from my hug.

She looked away shyly and I just smiled at her, I tried to change the subject at her expense.

“Anyways, I’m supposed to be traveling with Zade in the morning but from the look of things, I have no clothes,” I say to her frustration evident in my voice.

“Well what can we do?,” she question and before I could reply she spoke up. “There should at least still be some of your thing here because I didn’t see her come out with anything to trash,” she let out.

“If that’s the case, let’s search the whole room for my clothes then,” I replied her and immediately I said so, we both began to search the whole room for my clothes and after minutes of searching, we found my clothes in a pile inside a bag at the bottom of my closet and I let out a soft sigh.

Finally!

We brought it out and we sorted through my clothes as I asked her which ones Brianna wore so we could throw them away.

After we were done sorting each thing, she packed my bags with my help in case she packed something I didn’t like.

When we were done, we were exhausted and sweating from all the work we had done.

I was tired and hungry and I could not take it anymore so I let it out.

“I’m tired and most especially hungry from all this work,” I whispered and Cloris didn’t waste a minute before she stood up and dashed out of the room and I smiled to myself.

She didn’t even ask me what I wanted, she knew me that well.

I got up from where I was sitting on the floor and made my way to the window, it was already late. We had spent a lot of time on sorting through my stuffs and getting rid of the clothes Brianna had so righteously taken upon herself to change.

Minutes later as I was still looking out of the window and admiring the weather, Cloris came back into the room with a tray of food.

“Your food is here,” she called out she placed the tray on the bed and stood beside it.

I didn’t think twice before I turned and headed to the bed to eat, when I sat down and opened the food, I dug into it almost immediately and wolfed down everything and she let out a little giggle and I rolled my eyes at her.

She should be used to my bad table manners by now but it still amazes her everytime.

When I was done eating, she packed the plates away from my front and asked if I needed any other thing.

“Do you need anything else or that would be enough for today?” She questioned and I shook my head.

“I’m fine thank you, I don’t need anything else,” I replied and she nodded in understanding.

“Okay,” she simply said before she spoke up again, “I should leave you to rest, you are traveling tomorrow anyways with the king,” she said to me suggestively and with a teasing expression on her face and I couldn’t help but to let out a small laugh.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” I questioned her and she just shook her head.

“Nothing,” she says while smiling. “I’m just asking you to rest properly, you never know what might happen,” she spoke up again, her words teasing and leaving hints and I just smiled back at her.

Naughty girl.

“Goodnight your highness,” she said as she made her way out of the room, when she got to the door, she turned off the main lights leaving me with only the bedside lamps on and she closed the door behind her as she left the room.

She was right, tomorrow was going to be stressful and I needed to rest properly so I got into bed and tucked myself in.

I was going to spend time with Zade and I could not wait.
