Chapter 143 Reaching Home
Chapter 143 Reaching Home
Cody
I am still going back and forth from room to room to try to help where I can. I feel wholly inadequate right now to really accomplish that. The girls who were unconscious in the rooms upstairs were taken along with the others to the boat. They have been put into the medical area, and we had prepared a huge number of beds before we started out on this mission. So, we have some things already set up for them, and we hope it’s enough for right this second. A couple of the women stayed to help them there.
A couple of the others came here. We’re hoping that they can help with the children who are still terrified of us, not that I blame them. Who the fuck knows what absolute horrors those children have witnessed? They are in deplorable physical shape so who knows how much they were even allowed out of the cages. Fuck, this is so many shades of fucked up it’s mind-bending.
Valenciaga like me is running around everywhere. Only his running has to do with collecting every single piece of equipment. We are taking all of the cameras and computers back to Alex and Atorro. We also found a couple of offices, so they are loading up all of the paperwork and computers from there as well as these fucking rooms.
Rabid has been trying to piece these girls together and give them pain relief so that we can try and get them to the ship without them being in excruciating agony. The girl from the 3rd room, I don’t honestly think that is possible. They had been in the process of skinning her while raping her, and her eyes and tongue are missing, so she is not responding too well right now, and in some ways, maybe that would be a mercy. I can’t catalog all the other shit it looks like they did, or was listed on that computer screen.
We were too late to save the last woman, but we at least took her down and wrapped her up with some dignity. Not sure what we’re going to do from there though. The other two have a huge amount of wounds and trauma as well, so it’s going to be touch-and-go for the whole lot of them.
It ended up taking us more than a day to finally have everything collected that we feel we need to take back as far as evidence, and the ability to track anyone connected to this place. We are currently setting off charges and getting everything burning. We want to have this place leveled to the ground before we walk away. Hopefully, if anyone associated with this place that wasn’t here, they will get the message, and they’ll know we are coming for them. I hope it haunts them because that is the absolute least they deserve, to live the remainder of what life they have in total fear.
We had tried to be better prepared for trauma victims after the last rescue but we still feel totally unprepared. The best thing they are able to do right this second is put them all to sleep, and keep them asleep until we get back to the better medical facility at Valenciaga’s compound. He has been on the satellite phone talking to doctors back there so they can be somewhat prepared for all of these women, and now children.
We ended up having to transport the kids in the cages, and it ripped my fucking heart out. We couldn’t get them to come out, and we were afraid to wrestle them out, as we had no idea how much human touch they had actually had. So, once we got them into a room, we made sure all of the doors were off the cages. They have food, water, toys and we have some clothes that will work if we can get them to let us dress them. The women have been continually talking to them, and just sitting on the floor so they can get used to them being there, hoping they will come out and let them care for them better.
I have talked to Alex several times as have the other guys. For all of us, she’s what anchors us when we face shit like this. Of course, we are careful about what we say, but she knows we don’t tell her everything. We did explain the setup of the cameras and the computers. So she’s currently designing a new program to help extract location data from those videos that had been streaming live. We are planning to go after absolutely anyone who had anything to do with that shit.
We are finally on the way home. It took us a day longer than we had anticipated for all of the bullshit to be handled. We made sure that place was blown to hell and everything that could possibly burn did so. The bodies of those from the compound were burned in the fires as well, and I was so glad. I wished I could have let those women pull triggers and set them on fire, but that probably wasn’t the best idea. They are staying together, and all of the people taking care of them are trying to help them feel safe. It’s been good to have the women here with us for them, but we have learned from them that being a woman doesn't make them automatically safe. I was extremely surprised to know that there were women involved in this bullshit as well.
Today we are finally reaching home. There’s so much to wade through, and so many people who need help, and the children definitely need a lot of help. That will be a whole thing unto itself. I have a feeling it’s going to take a lot of work to help them overcome the trauma of their lives. We’ll just have to wait and see, and talk to quite a few doctors about recommendations. Valenciaga has said he already has ideas about who to call, so that is good.
We are all standing together on the deck of the ship, watching as we reach the shore. I'm not surprised when I see Alex there waiting for us. We have to drive to Valenciaga’s compound from here, but it’s a short one. I am so glad to see her smiling face, I can’t even put that into words right now.
Right now, we are home, and we are working on what needs to happen to help the ones we rescued. We just love Alex and our kids, and then tomorrow we’ll dive back in and start ripping apart all of this information, and see what we can find, and what we need to do next.
