CHAPTER 54

Olivia's mind drifted back to what transpired in her office hours ago. She couldn't deny the fact that she was troubled when Aiden punched Asher hard in the face.

The latter sustained an injury. His nose was probably broken or worse. She heard from Jade that he left the company as soon as he stepped out of her office.

“I wonder if he's alright.” She thought aloud, fondling with her pen in between her fingers.

Her laptop was opened before her. Its light casting a warm glow on her face. The weather changed drastically.

It will rain any moment from now. She heaved a deep breath and proceeded to move her fingers across her keyboard but stopped when she heard the small commotion going on in front of her door.

Turning her head slightly, she spotted Aiden trying to stop a familiar young lady from walking into the office.

In a blink of an eye, she rammed her hand against his cheek. Her actions had him freezing for some seconds which gave her the perfect chance to walk past him.

“Olivia!”

Olivia was taken aback by Agnes loud shriek. The latter stomped her across the room and stopped just before Olivia's desk.

“Who the hell gave you the permission to walk in here—”

“Oh, fuck all that!” Agnes cut in arrogantly. She brought her arms to settle under her breasts. “Who exactly do you think you are?”

Olivia arched a brow slightly. She pointed a finger to the nameplate made out of glass on her desk.

“Olivia Reynold. The CEO of Reynold's group. I hope the name rings a bell in your head.”

A slow smile stretched on her lips when she saw Agnes face fall.

“You hit my guard, don't try it again. I'm sure you don't want to know what he is capable of doing to you. You can ask your boyfriend, he got what he deserved today. I hope his nose falls off.”

Agnes was lost for a second. Asher had clearly told her that he hit his face against a door. Why would he lie to her?

“Just shut up bitch! I'm only here to remind you not to cross the boundaries. Asher is mine and will always be mine. You're standing in the way.”

“I’m right here but you still feel like I'm trying to steal Asher away from you? What if he actually wants to be stolen? Why can't you just let it happen?”

Agnes jaw clenched tightly. She slammed her palms against the desk.

“Don’t you dare. I'll likely suggest that you move on completely. Asher doesn't love you. He only used you to get what he wanted and he has succeeded in doing that.”

“Then what the fuck are you both still doing around me? Am I that difficult to forget? You've both gotten what you wanted, so why don't you just leave me the fuck alone?!” Olivia snapped.

“Get out.” She bellowed.

“You are going to regret every single thing. I'll make sure you pay for it. Mark my words, Olivia.”

Olivia raised her head slightly and nudged her brows to the door.

“Get the fuck out.”

Agnes gritted her teeth before turning away from Olivia and walking straight to the door.

“They are both loosed in the head.” Olivia whispered to herself as soon as Jade left the office to her.

Silence returned once more and she couldn't help but sigh hard.

Not too long, Jade walked into the office.

“Olivia, are you alright?” Jade worriedly asked as she walked closer to Olivia.

“Yeah, I'm totally fine.”

“Oh. I just saw Agnes walking away. She seemed upset and Asher isn't even in the company.”

Olivia gave a nod.

“Ignore her. She's just as loosed in the head as her boyfriend. They'll both get what they deserve really soon.”

“Alright. There's a problem at home.”

Olivia's face turned serious at once. She sat up on her chair and leaned forward to hear whatever Jade had to say.

“What is it?” She inquired.

“It’s about your cousin, Alice. One of the neighbors spotted her bringing in a man into our home. I think she's up to something.”

Olivia was taken aback.

“What?” She whispered.
