I fell asleep wailing, but all I remember is that I didn't have a comforter since I was sitting while crying. I had the key, so no one could enter my room, but even so, I didn't think about it until my stomach made a noise. I glance at my stomach and put my hands there.
"I'm hungry," I admitted to myself. I bathed before getting off, and I quickly went for food, but the driver approached me unexpectedly.
"This is the way, ma'am," he said politely, and then turned his back on me. Why is he acting that way? I winced but still followed him, and there I saw the man waiting for me—or maybe for us. His eyebrows meet, and he still doesn't move his food.
I moved towards heading their way. When his eyes locked on mine, I wanted to grin, but then I recalled Raven and I don't get along. So I just decided to keep my mouth shut. Things are different right now, therefore I must restrain myself. I only want to eat, thus everything else is irrelevant to me. "Let's eat," he said, as I sat down. Even if he dislikes me, he waits for me, because he doesn't want his driver to think that he is a bad guy. I simply nodded and took my favorite dish; fortunately, it was almost here, so my tummy clapped with delight.
I was full after eating our breakfast. I drank a soda; they were done a while ago. I smiled at them, but Raven just gave me trouble. My lips lifted, but I also removed it because it was necessary. I will not send it to the man. I would like to say thank you, but there is something lumpy in my throat that prevents me from speaking.

I decided to go to the shore of the water and travel while it was still early; the heat was not harsh enough on the skin. Their sand is white and exceedingly thin; the seawater is so transparent that you are able to see the bottom. There are several boats for riding, but you'll need two. I wanted to rent a motor boat but because I'm not particularly skilled, I preferred to walk rather than have an accident.
The driver was taken home due to an accident involving his family, leaving the two of us here. I can't ask Raven why she came here.
"Hi," a foreigner approached me; he was tall and too fair; his teeth were white and even. He looked cheerful, and he handed me a drink, so I accepted it because I didn't want to be rude around him. I mean, I was rude, but not to nice people.
"Thanks," I said softly.
"I'm Gerald; how about you?"
"I'm Cbiara Blair; you can call me Blair instead." I shyly answered. Socializing is not really for me.
"I've been seeing you alone for a while, so I came to you and wanted to be friends with you." He looks friendly and nice, so why don't I talk to him? Right? No one will be angry, and no one is bad, right?
"I'm with my boss, because he has work here," I answered, even though I'm not sure what business Raven wanted or why he was here. "You? Are you here for vacation?" I sip the drink. He was staring at my face, so I suddenly became conscious. "Do I have dirt in my face?"
"N-no, you're so beautiful; I'm sorry if you find me weird." When he apologized, I just laughed, and so did he. "Well, I am here since the girl I wanted to marry cheated on me and chose my best friend, so I was heartbroken."
"You look doesn't seem like it." I teased him because I could have plastered any heartbreak on his face, but when he looked away, I confirmed it. "Oh, I'm sorry," I whispered, biting my lip. Why am I not sensitive to this?
"No, that's fine. It's my fault; I was a workaholic, and I didn't realize that I was slowly losing time to my girl; unfortunately, she fell to another man." He chuckled with pain. I grabbed his back and caressed it, but I hadn't even caressed him yet that much. I did it three times. Someone has called my name.
I turned around; his eyes were screaming with rage, and I also felt that he didn't like what I did. His step towards it was so heavy that I just swallowed. His eyes looked like they were going to eat, so I looked at the man, and he hid behind me.
"Is that your boss?"
"Hmm." I could barely speak because I was holding myself back from breathing.
"He doesn't look like a boss; he's more like a possessive husband." He whimpered, but before I could answer, he suddenly disappeared, so I was upset.
"Who is that? Did I say you came here to flirt with men? And do you know him that much to accept a drink from him?" he hissed. He darted a sharp glare at the glass, and he almost broke it.
"We're just talking." I fire back. Why did I speak when he was fighting at the counter?
"Not even talking to strangers!" He declared. My jaw dropped, and I wanted to answer him, but he turned his back on me. I marched to follow him; what right did he have to shout at me like that?
"Let's talk, Raven," I called to him, but he acted like a deaf person, so that only annoyed me even more. Argh, that man is getting on my nerves; how dare he?
When he entered their room, I knocked; luckily, it was open, so I didn't have any difficulties entering their room.
"Why did you scold me, Raven?" I shouted. I saw her undress, but I didn't care anymore. I've seen everything, so it's just normal for me. "He was just trying to be a friend of mine; he just wanted someone to talk to!"
"Talk to his face! He wanted to flirt with you!" I pulled out my hair. Why is it so hard to make this man understand the truth? "I am a man, so I know the movements of my fellow men, so can you please not make my head spin?" He asked, and that's why I stepped near him.
"So? You were flirting with the woman at the counter yesterday, weren't you?" I accused him. "You are getting married, but you still want to flirt? The thickness of your face will interfere with my business when you're even worse!" I smashed his chest, but he didn't move. My hands are shaking; I just want to strangle him.
"Who the fvck is going to be married?" he asked me. "Who told you that, huh?"
"Don't lie in my face, Raven!" I yelled, but his hand immediately covered both of my hands. "Let me go!" I growled.
"Is that why you said I just used you, Blair? That I just want your body?" He tightened his grip on me even more. "Come on, tell me, is that the reason?"
"Let go of me!" I throw a dagger look at him, but he doesn't even budge a bit. "I said let me go."
"Not until you tell me the truth." His voice was calm. "Admit it, is that the reason?"
"Raven, don't make a game; just let me go!"
"Do you believe that I will marry Gretchen? Didn't you think that I told you that I would date you, so how the hell did you believe the rumors?"
"Because everything about us is just a deal! Everything is just a contract! So, I believed more in Gretchen and you because...you look good together." I admit and look away. Damn, why do I have to be this pitiful?
"Is that what you think, Blair? That this is all just a deal?"
"Because that's really where it all started!" I burst out. "Just say that it was the truth; don't even try to change the subject."
"Fuck!" He muttered a curse and let go of me. "Why am I here? I can bring down my family even without you. Roux is just a piece of trash for me. I can do it even without you."
"Then why did you show up at the airport and deal with me?" I stammered a question.
"Because I am into you," he answered without even thinking. "I want you; I only want you to be my wife and not anyone else."
"N-no," I said, shaking my head. It's not true; I didn't hear anything. "You're just making a story."
"Believe what you want to believe, but I will prove to you that I am real. I am telling you the truth," he whispered, my knees weak as he was behind me and hugged me back.
He put his head on my shoulder, smelled my neck, and I closed my eyes. Why was I denying my feelings? I was scared, but I couldn't escape Raven's venom; no matter where I was taken or the situation, I was always being chased.
"I miss you." His breath tickled my ears, giving me little nibbles and small kisses so I felt like this would lead to an intimate situation. How can I escape and get rid of this man? What I was craving is now in front of me, I don't have the strength to push him. "Don't hold back your feelings." He kissed my neck so I just closed my eyes.
This time I accepted the fact that in the end I was still the loser.
