I was in the cafeteria of this company and wanted to be pampered because of what happened earlier. I can't believe I just did that. For what? I scoff in my mind. How can I do that just because I was annoyed? I was so pathetic.
I left them both there, and I didn't know if I'd ever come back. Well, as if I had a choice, right? I had to go back because I had work. I finished my drink first and let out a heavy sigh before dragging my heavy feet to the office.
I smiled at the people I met, but as usual, they just giae me trouble, as if I had committed a great sin against them. I just ignored that and entered the office of our CEO, who seemed to be waiting for my return. His eyes darted at me when I glanced his way.
"It took you a while." He glanced at his watch. I noticed that was the gift I gave him back then, when we didn't know each other very well. I can see it through here; I know my work well.
"I was chit-chatting with my colleagues." I was proud of telling that to him, although the truth is no one wanted to talk to me for unknown reasons. I waited for him to speak more, but the arrogant CEO just darted his stare at the papers on his table and flipped them one by one.
Nice. I sarcastically told the back of my mind.
I also walked towards my table. I have a lot more to finish than to do other things. I focused on what I was doing, but I noticed some eyes staring at me, so I tried to look the way of Raven, but he was busy at his computer. That was weird, but I was trying to ignore that feeling. I winced and just looked back at the files on my desk that weren't half done yet.
After a few hours, I felt a hot breath on my neck. I looked back in surprise when I saw the CEO. His face was too close to mine while he was closing his eyes.
"I want to rest," he muttered. I looked in front, shocked by what he did. He slipped his hand on my waist, so I was stiff for a moment. "Get up," he ordered for a few minutes before I obeyed. I was fvcking hypnotized by his presence. I knew it, but here I am fvcking enjoying it. I want to break free. I want to scold myself because, why can't I fight? Why am I weak?
He lifted me to the table while he sat on my swivel chair, holding my waist. He looked up at me. I don't know what to do this time. I'm softening for what could happen between the two of us inside the office. I wasn't young anymore.
Little by little, he put his head on my thigh. Good thing I didn't wear my trim skirt because he might see what I was hiding. I bit my lip hard; this shouldn't be happening.
"Just a minute," he whispered. I didn't move or make any noise because I was transfixed by what was happening. I don't know why my hand suddenly landed on her hair and stroked it.
I didn't hear a complaint from him, so I continued what I did, and my lips formed a line. Fvck, I'm dead. I don't know how many hours we were like that, because suddenly I heard a knock on the door. My eyes widened, and I slapped Raven's head for the reason he groaned.
"You have a visitor." I hit again to wake him up. Fvck! His eyes were still looking at me. I enlarged my eyes and pointed to the door, causing him to stand up and run towards his seat.
I bit my lip to hold back, not to let out a chuckle in my mouth. It was as if we had performed a miracle with our actions. When he reached his chair, he adjusted his necktie and anything else, then took a sip. He looked at me first before turning to the door, and his eyes were serious.
"Come in," the three board members said after a few seconds, looking aggrieved. Their eyes landed on Raven before they looked at me with judgment. Maybe they realize I was the woman who made Mrs. Smith scandalize at my party? I immediately stood up and bowed slightly before leaving the office without saying goodbye. When these are his guests and even his family, I need to get out of his office, as we agreed.
I just breathed a sigh of relief when I got out of the office. It's like I bring all the problems in the world with me every time I go in there.
"What are you and Sir doing, and how long does it take him to respond?" I was surprised when a girl approached me, but in a rude manner. I raised an eyebrow at him. I wasn't here to be a good girl.
"He is sleeping" in my lap. I want to sum it up, but I kept my mouth shut.
"Just make sure that you didn't do anything, because I might do something to you when I find out you are seducing him." My jaw dropped, so...they like their boss? I looked at the girls around me, and they seemed to be waiting for me too. They were giving me a dagger look; I wanted to laugh out loud.
I have no intention of cutting a Smith again; what we had was a pure deal and would never exceed what we had.
"I have no intentions about your boss, if that's what you want to know." I cleared up the things that they thought I would do. "I already had a husband." I lied to them, then he was abandoned.
I don't know the consequences of my lying, but I don't want to be their cup of tea. I have to put out the fire that is spreading in this company. I went to the company's kitchen to brew my own coffee because it was less expensive than in the cafeteria. Because I was confused by what was happening, I didn't realize that the water in my glass was overflowing, which is why my hand got burned and I dropped the small cup.
"Fuck!" I cursed. I was about to cool it down when someone pulled me into the running water, and he put my hand there to soak it. The warmth I felt in my hand eased a little, so I was about to give my gratitude to the person who helped me, but suddenly what I was going to say was hanging in the air when I saw who it was.
It was the moron.
