When I sat down next to Roux, he was still staring at me, and there was nothing I could do. The others seem to be dredging up the past and are apprehensive, but I can't help but feel uncomfortable around us. Left with no choice I had to deal with this.
With a regular, loud voice, Cbiara exclaimed, "Tell us, Cbiara, why you left six years ago!" I closed my eyes, realizing that this time, a lot of people could probably hear. I was late to realize that they were having a meeting around here while jogging, and I even caught up with them before they went home. How lucky I am. I said sarcastically back in my mind.
“It's good that we caught up with you here; we hardly got to talk to you on your birthday because you had a lot of guests to attend to.” Melissa had curly hair as far as I've remembered before however it went straight now.
I didn't want to get into too much detail, so I just answered briefly, saying, "I'm busy.”
"So...where did you go when you suddenly disappeared? And why did you come back?" Zaida will not really tell me until her mouth itches to know the truth. Why did her curiosity about such a thing not change?
By chance, I glanced at Roux Way, and he stared directly at my location. As our eyes locked, I felt something strange rising in my throat. Is there a spark between us, or was it just hatred?
Even after all these years, the hurt he caused me still exists. The cheating, the betrayal, and losing my one and only comrade. I shook, gazing at his face.
“Hey, Cbiara!” Zaida smacked me across the cheek, waking me to reality. Renalyn asked, "Are you going to kill Roux?" and then she laughed, while I was looking at her with a question mark on my forehead.
"What do you mean, Renalyn? Roux is melting at how Cbiara stared at him." My jaw dropped from their false accusation, especially Zaida. "Maybe they missed each other; I mean, they're the love team of our room and in our circle." She added that made noise behind us; didn't they know that Lethia could sue them?
As part of my plan, I said the innocent statement, "Roux is married." to ruin their marital life in the same way that they ruined mine.
Somebody behind me said, "It's not like they're happy." There was an excessive number of them when I turned to look at who it might be.
Is this rumor true? Since her first miscarriage, the woman has not gotten pregnant anymore. Worst of all, there's no proof to let anyone know that the child's father was Roux. And in each other's arms from the start, they were never happy?
I am doubting to believe in it because he rejected me and held the hand of my enemy instead when I begged him to choose me. So how do I believe in that kind of rumor? And why am I thinking that? As if I care!
"Right, Roux?" Zaida winks. I smiled secretly; it looked like heaven was on my side. I can't stop smiling about it, and then everything I do seems to be easier. I'm holding Lethia by the neck while I'm using Raven and for Roux? I need to bury him alive at the right time.
"Let's respect my wife," he muttered, and our colleagues winced. I noticed that there were mostly women here, and Roux was the only man. What should Lethia's reaction be when he found out about these? Knowing Lethia, I was pretty sure she'd be fuming mad.
"Respect her ass! She almost dragged us every time she saw you sticking to us." Renalyn interrupted.
"She's my wife after all."
Hearing it gave an air punch out of my lungs as excruciating pain blasted in my chest. How could she treat her better than me? How could he say that in front of me after he told me he still loved me that night? What a nice play.
Roux, you play well, but I am the team's coach, so I am aware of every move you make, and I won't back down. I clenched my jaw, wanting to get out of this place as soon as possible.
I was ready to get up to leave them when Zaida pulled my hand absentmindedly and her eyes looked menacing. "I'm going to leave."
"You will not leave until you have an answer to my question." Fuck! I believed she was insane. Why was it so hard for me to escape from them?
I quickly looked to Roux and begged for assistance, knowing that he and his family would be destroyed if I revealed the truth. I can tell everything, even if the timing isn't appropriate for me to reveal that, so don't let him test me.
He said, pointing to the man who was waving to us from the other side with a big smile on his face, "Stop that, Zaida; your husband is calling you." Thus... Harry wed Zaida?
I turned to Zaida, and when I saw how her curious eyes changed into excitement, I suddenly winced. I mean... How could that happen when they hated each other until death? Confused and not knowing what to say, I didn't ask any more questions.
Everyone had their own deal this time; that's why I was relieved. Hais a savior; I escaped their integration. I'm not ready to tell the whole story because, even though it's been six years, it's still fresh in my mind.
"Thank you." I was about to leave when Roux said something that made me stop. "I know you want to speak, but you choose to save me by keeping silent." I scoffed and faced him.
“You feel special, don't you?" I asked him. He didn't say a word because I spoke again. "It's not for you or your family." I glared at him. "There's a right time for that, and that's the explosion; I won't deny them." I sweetly smirked and flipped my hair as victory was in my favor.
Certain things require time to become clear and the language of choice will become polarized. That was a truly remarkable occurrence and a profound revelation that no one will ever forget.
Like I stated, one by one, they will all bow down to me in order for me to receive the justice I deserve. A mother's heart will give it if the law is unable to.
