Minutes turned to hours and Lily still hadn’t heard from either Dmitri or Gio.

Immediately after the party ended, Christian had shoved her into one of the guest rooms, locking her inside until everyone cleared out.

Her mind raced, clawing for meaning. She didn’t understand what to do, didn’t understand what it meant to be Christian’s mistress, or what he wanted from her only that Dmitri had stood there and said absolutely nothing.

Her heart shattered. She felt used. Dumb, even. Just when she thought she was starting to feel something for him.

The door creaked open. Her breath hitched, eyes darting toward it as Christian stepped inside wearing a smug smile on his lips.

She immediately backed into the wall, shoulders stiff as her jaw clenched. “Where’s Gio? What do you want from me?” she hissed, her voice trembling with fury she barely held down.

He shut the door slowly behind him, his smile never dropping as he walked slowly towards her like he was enjoying every second of the fear printed on her face.

Lily took steps backwards every second he got close but he closed the distance between them. Before she could flinch away, his hand snapped up and gripped her jaw, forcing her face toward him, locking her in place.

“Get your hands off me you bastard!”

“Get a hold of yourself,” he growled, his once charming voice stripped and filled with pure venom.

His fingers pressed hard against her cheeks, not enough to bruise, but enough to remind her of the power difference.

“You’re nothing here. Nothing. This isn’t about you.” He chuckled. “You think I give a shit about you? About your life? This is all about a getting to Dmirti and fucking his slutty wife right in front of him.”

“You are sick.” Lily thrusted away from his grip.

He snapped her jaw between his hands, stilling her in place.

“You are going to behave yourself and ride me with that American pussy like the slut you are. Maybe we could even make a video for you, dear husband.”

Lily's jaw burned from both his grip and his words. She couldn’t believe she’d actually had some type of attraction towards this man. He was a complete monster.

“As for your cousin?” He gave a mocking shrug, his grip tightening on her jaw. “Collateral damage. Maybe Sebastian wouldn’t mind fucking her slutty pussy too.”

Rage erupted through Lily’s chest andwithout thinking she spat into his face.

The room fell silent as his eyes closed shut and spit trailing down his cheek. His jaw twitched. Then a low grunt escaped him—half laugh, half snarl— and she heard a smack, hear burning into her cheek.

Lily's face snapped to the side at the sudden impact. She could feel the burning and throbbing in her cheeks, tears blurred her vision.

"You bitch whore!" he snarled. "That's it. You need to be taught some manners."

Before Lily could react, he shoved her hard against the room till her back hit against the massive bed with a bounce. She scrambled, but his shadow loomed over her.

His hands went straight for his belt, jerking it free. Her eyes widened as she registered what was happening.

"It looks like Dmitri didn't teach you any manners," he licked a bottom lip, eying her with lustful eyes as his hands yanked the zipper of his pants. “Don’t worry Lily.”

Her eyes widened, she crawled back into the headboard. "No—no, don't you dare-"

He lunged, catching her by the wrists, forcing them above her head. With brutal ease, he pinned her down, his body pressing her small frame into the mattress. One hand slid roughly to her blouse, tugging hard at the fabric.

"Spread your legs you stupid bitch!" he demanded. "What part of your husband handed you to me did you not understand?"

She kicked, thrashed, tears blinding her vision. "Get off me!"

His free hand fumbling at her blouse, tugging buttons until they popped loose.

"Help! Somebody help me!"

Christian only laughed darkly, leaning close enough for her to smell the alcohol and smoke on his breath. "No one's coming. After we’re done you can tell your husband how good I fucked you compare to what he ever would."

"No-don't! Please, don't!" she sobbed, her voice breaking. She twisted beneath him, her nails clawing at his wrist, her legs kicking wildly.

“The more you fight, the sweeter it'll be. There’s no point."

Her eyes darted frantically, searching for anything until her hand brushed against the nightstand. Fingers fumbled blindly until she found something heavy she didn't even know what it was.

Christian’s head jerked toward her sudden movement but before he could stop it Lily struck him. Hard.

His body slumped to the side of the bed. Lily's body was still shaking when she dropped the object. It was a solid room statue decoration.

She scrambled out of the bed chest still weaving up and down. He wasn’t going to stay out of long and she knew it.

Outside the room was empty. Lily knew to be extra cautious. If there was one thing she knew about a notorious mafia mansion, it was that there was always something watching. You could never truly be certain.

After quietly moving through the fifth room her eyes fell on a feminine figure.

“Gio?”

Her cousin spun around, eyes widening, relief flashing across her face. “Lily!”

Without thinking, Lily rushed forward and threw her arms around her,

“Are you alright? Did they hurt you?” Lily asked quickly, pulling back to scan her face, her arms, her trembling form.

She replied with a weak smile. “What’s going on, Lily?”

“I’ll explain everything I promise but we have to get out of here.”

She pulled at her cousin's wrist but to her surprise Gio didn’t move. Instead, her face shifted, eyes now dropped to the ground.

“I’m sorry.” She heard her say.

Tears spilled down from her eyes, further confusing Lily. “Gio we need to leave.” she pressed.”

Gio shook her head hesitantly. “I need to tell you something, Lily.”

Lily’s eyes narrowed but the urgency of wanting to get out of the house was more than that of whatever Gio thought she needed to say.

She yanked Gio wrist again but almost immediately the door swung open and Sebastian's huge frame filled the entrance.

His gaze
swept past Gio then landed on Lily.

Lily felt her throat dry.

Shit. This wasn’t good.
