Relentless

**Artemis POV**

The six of us are sat outside waiting for the mood to hit the papers that are laid out on the table in the perfect place for the moon to the pages will glow up and tell us what we need to know.

How we are supposed to take down an old mutated werewolf pent on killing everyone, the only problem is we don't know when he is going to attack or with how many people .

Its bought and eeriness to the house the air has become stagnant like everyone is on edge no one knows what is going to happen next, we are prepared but we can’t keep our sick and elderly held up in the safe houses but for how long it would disrupt their lives and some have had enough of that already .

So, we sit and wait in the for the pounce for the day he comes to take whatever he wants to destroy this pack as he has done so many others .

So, we sit, and we wait for the pages to glow and tell us what we have to do to end it .

Selene told us what she found and that she worked out the symbols are a language, but she could only decipher around 50% of them but the others she cannot find the others so some of this will be guess work .

The papers are spread out on the table there’s some quite conversation going on between the others, but my eyes are fixated on table waiting for them to light up , it like waiting for a lighthouse to switch on in total darkness .

I can feel Ryan's hand on my thigh trying to comfort me it takes away some of the anxiety I have its subtle, but he doesn't draw attention to me he leaves me to fixate on it .

Minutes pass but it feels like hours the conversation between the rest of them a gone quiet the air around us stale and non-moving.

Then it happens the moon shines directly over the paperwork laid out on the table and the symbols on the light up like a Christmas tree every page. All of us scramble from our seats to the table to taking notes and comparing them to the information Sel had gathered up no one stopping to take a breath and Cynthia Selene and I constantly linking with theories .

Eventually the boys stepped away they ate and drank I think the intensity and concentration we held on the pages and with one another scared them off, but we didn’t stop we read, we drew, we wrote. We only had as long as the moon shone high in the sky to work this out and we were not going to stop until we did.

For a second it felt like each of us had two versions of ourselves one moving and one watching like time had was just a matter of perception. For a brief moment my eye clocked theirs and they were glowing I assume from the look Sel gave me mine were the same.

And then it all starts to fall into place.

"*Artemis this can’t be real *?"

Selene sounds tired and conflicted .

"Sel yes, it is correct this is what he plans to do "

"*You both cannot be serious he’s decimated packs and spend his life trying to get this ?*"

"Yes Cynthia, I’m serious he’s doing all of this to be the one true Alpha , to take charge of all the packs and unite them unwillingly to be commanded by him. He pretty much want to make himself the king, but he cannot do it until the wolves of the first or their decedents are eradicated, and he takes their powers "

Cynthia lets out a sigh and rolls her eyes in frustration .

"*So basically, this guy is insane and not only let he’s being doing other crazy stuff to mutate himself to stay alive . If what we are reading is correct before he killed out ancestors, he would have had to force them to show their powers and bitten them and killed them all at the same time so as there life left the body the power transferred to him* "

"Hit the nail on the head with that one Cynth so we can’t let him get a hold of us when we face him "

Selene scoffs at my words .

"*So, we can’t let him near us , but were the only ones that can kill him and to do that we have to pull him apart but without touching him. What a fucking joy this fight it going to b*e"

"Optimism ladies we can only but try "

I don’t want to let them know that I’m feeling the same they we need to be strong and believe in what this says and what our parents said we have to trust our wolves when the time comes I know I will be able to count on Aria and I know the girls will do the same with themselves and the wolves .

We spend another hour or so talking, and planning and we manage to get something together but it’s not a solid plan however its nearly 4 am the boys have all fallen asleep and Selene has a Luna ceremony and a marriage to get to in 10 hours .

We pack the paper up and wake up the guys that are shocked at the time, but we manage to drag them off to their beds Selene, Cynthia and I are all sleeping in her room tonight to help her get ready .

We change into our pyjamas Freya at some point has some extra beds bought into her room, so we snuggle down and set the Alarms for 8am .

I lay wake and listening to the soft breathing of Cynthia and Selene who fell asleep as soon as their heads hit the pillow .

Tomorrow Selene's whole life is going to change but I’m scared for how long she will have this life. I am grateful for Ryan everyday, but I terrified for the day we are torn apart from one another, the day that I’m torn away from sisters but I’m more terrified of them not being able to live the lives they deserve .

I runs through my head over and over, but I know what I have to do.

When the time comes I will face Arlo alone I know that it means I will be leaving Ryan but he will have my family there to help him get through it more importantly though Sel and Cynth can live the rest of their lives the way they want to with no threat to them.

**Selene's POV**

I can hear the alarm going off but I’m in no way ready to get up I pull the covers back over my head it felt like we came to bed 2 minutes ago .

"*Sel come on get out of bed we need to eat and then you need to try on your dress Artemis has already gone to pick it up* "

Cynth's voice rings in my ears and then she pull the quilt of my body leaving me in a frozen angry petrified state as the warmth leaves my body.

Then it hits me like a bucket of cold water , I’m getting married today by the time the moon comes up I’ll be Mrs Selene Fenrir .

I’m going to a Luna and someone’s wife and the only meal I know how to make is French toast I feel the panic starting to rise in me I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom to expel the contents of my stomach into the toilet.

I jump in a cool shower to calm myself down and chuck my pyjamas back on when I enter the room Artemis is sat on the bed with Cynthia the beds have been moved and there is a table covered in fresh fruit and champagne.

We talk between ourselves and they help to ease my nerves and then we start to get ready there’s hair being done and makeup and I’m being pulled around the room like a crazy person for the first time however I don’t mind it’s a welcomed distraction from thinking about walking out to face 500 people from 2 different packs.

As soon as the clock hits 13.20 Freya walks in the room and tells us all to get dressed it then dawns on me that I haven’t even seen it yet , I help Arti and Cynth zip there’s up and then they instruct me to stand in front of the mirror and close my eyes.

They help me step into the dress and I can feel its long and heavy as the pull it up my body once I’m zipped in, they faff about and I hear the door open and close someone gasps .

"Is everyone okay ?"

I go to open my eyes but Cynth practically screams not yet at me .

After a few more minutes the help me to walk a few steps and then they tell me I can open my eyes .

I’m taken aback by how stunning this dress is and how perfectly it fits.

It’s a stunning Aline gown just slightly off the shoulder and a low back that drops into the chiffon aline skirt delicate small pearls adorn from the bodice of the dress and melt into the skirt the best part is that it has pockets .

I can feel my eyes well up its perfect its similar to the one my mother wore apart from they have modernized it by making it longer and adding the pockets .

I turn to them totally overwhelmed.

"How did you do this in such a little amount of times its perfect " I feel a tear coming out of my eye but before it gain traction Freya is this wiping it away, she then rushes off to make sure everyone else is ready .

When the room is empty, they step towards me and eat take on of my hands the bond we share flows between us all of our individual anxiety , excitement and love flowing between us. Our wolves howling and at one with each other .
