Chapter 21 21

Chapter 21 21
I got up and crossed him, rushing towards the door.
'Take me to him; I will give him what he needs at once, O mighty one. And did you doubt for a moment that I would refuse to save him?'
For no matter what happens, I cannot deny what he did for me so that I do not fall captive to the siren.”
"It's not that simple, Celine!" he stopped her.
"What do you mean?"  I asked him, not understanding why he hesitated.
«The issue is not a question of your rejection or not, but because of your position and your situation now, you are the female Kayden, our great king, and you are our queen.»
She stared at him questioningly, not understanding the meaning of his words, and he added, “The female is a sacred being to us; it is impossible to accept sharing her with anyone, and the male’s instinct pushes him to protect her from anything, even from himself, and his jealousy sometimes strips him of his consciousness, so he turns into a mere monster, ready to kill even  If the murdered was his brother, mother, or father,” he told her, astonishingly, with that information, but she still did not understand what this had to do with what she was about to do.
“There is no male from our offspring who accepts from his female that she gives her blood to another male, whatever the reason may be. For Cayden, and every male of us who gave blood is considered the rank of mating and all the intimacy that it includes.”
His words pierced her ear like a thunderbolt, causing her to lose balance. She can't believe what she hears from Mark.
She gasped, "What are you trying to tell me, Mark?"
I can't let Damien die. Caden must know I'm going to do it to save his brother, and would he rather lose him forever than let me give him my blood?
Just because he feels stupid and unreasonable jealousy.”
"No, my lord does not want to stop you."
He answered her, thinking of Cayden, his just and wise king, who did not expect to face such humiliation in his life, for his brother to come and, in a moment of indiscretion, trample the earth with his dignity in the sight of his private guards, and then, after all this, he is forced to stand aside and allow him to violate his sanctity in front of his eyes just so as not to lose him.
He sighed, bathed in shame, adding, “He left the decision up to you. He loves his brother Celine. He loves him very much, but in return he loves you. You are his twin who has been waiting for her for centuries. His primal instinct will be stronger than anything, because when instinct controls us, the wisdom of the mind and heart is absent, and they are well deservedly lost to it.”  The decision is yours, Celine.”
She can't; she can't understand what Kayden will go through because she simply doesn't know anything about their nature, but despite all this, she can't refuse Damian's gift of her blood. It's just blood, for heaven's sake; it won't mean anything to her.
And for Cayden, that's why he ran away, sending Mark instead.
Or was he afraid that he would not be able to allow her to do so and decided to step aside altogether?
"Where is he?  Is that why he doesn't want to confront me?  I haven't seen him since I came back.” I asked in an exasperated tone.
"You've got to make up your mind; Damien won't last long," he replied, avoiding discussing Cayden's matter.
"I've made up my mind; take me to him now."  I told him to walk in front of him, bent on doing what she found right, so
Saving Damian's life is one of her priorities now, and after she finishes it, she will deal with his brother, who is running away from confronting her because of a selfish, stupid, reckless, possessive jealousy that she does not understand the reasons for.
Celine entered the room equipped to care for Damian in the basement, where the gym, cells, and medical department, equipped with all its medical equipment to care for the injured and sick, were stationed.
She stood at the door, smelling sickness in her nose, and looked around looking for Kayden, who she found standing in a neutral corner of the room, surrounded by his author's guard.
“Let me speak to him first, please.”
She begged him to notice Kaiden's brokenness. He did not look up at her the moment she entered the room. Her heart clenched in her chest, knowing the sensitivity of what she was going to do, as she did not imagine that her action would turn the great king whom everyone fears into a male with a bent back unable to raise his head to her.
“No, he is hardly trying to contain his nerves and restrain his revolution!”  Mark refused her request, urging her to hurry. "You've got to hurry because they won't be able to control him for long. Go ahead, and let's get this over with as soon as possible."
She followed Mark, unable to take her eyes off Kayden, waiting for him to give her one look to comfort her heart.
They obey his orders not to let him approach her before she can give Damian what he needs.
He had known in advance that the matter would turn his mind against his primal instinct, but he did not know that it would tear his heart and devour his soul like a ruthless predator.
Celine put her palm over her mouth, trying to stop her rising nausea from Damian's indescribable condition. There are no words to do justice to his condition, with his bloody body and missing parts of his skin as if someone had brutally ripped him off. They were eating his flesh while he was still alive.
They were eating it!
She closed her eyes, unable to see more.
She turned to Mark, who was no better off than her, pale and distracted.
“What… what should I do… please tell me…” She muttered, trying to control her trembling body, seeing him hand her a small medical knife, whispering, “If you don’t dare slit your wrist, I can…”  Silence glanced at Kayden, and I understood why he hesitated.
She took the knife from his hand, recovering him from Kayden's revolution, and with trembling fingers and closed eyelids, she passed the knife over her wrist, making a slit that she did not dare to check how deep it was.
“That does the trick.”
Mark interrupted her work, recovering the knife from her trembling grip, leading her wrist to Damian's closed mouth,
He pressed his cheeks, shoving his fingers into his mouth, forcing him to open it, letting Selene's blood fall straight into his mouth.
Celine closed her eyes, begging for a miracle when it took too long and Damian did not show any reaction, watching her blood flow from his mouth, running from both sides of his lips without swallowing it.
She gasped helplessly, unable to hold her breath any longer, begging him silently to swallow what she was giving him, oblivious to Kayden, who was preparing to revolt against them all, firing an angry snarl at the same moment that Damian began to respond, grabbing her blood greedily.  who took her by surprise in conjunction with Kayden's violent revolution, left her confused about her order to those who took her decisive attention without hesitation; she would not dare to look towards Kayden, who was struggling behind her like a raging lion with the aim of reaching her. 1
His five guards surrounded him, holding on to him with all their determination, trying to stabilize him and prevent his violent conflict towards Celine; as he reached her, he would inevitably harm Damian.
His orders were clear that they should not free him until they were sure that Damian had taken his needs from her, but they were unable to control him and stand in his way any more, especially since he surpassed them in strength and determination, and was he not the only pure blood remaining in their offspring?
When they sensed he was slipping out of their grasp, one of them shouted at Mark.
"Mark... he'll be free of us... finish it right now."
Mark returned his attention to Celine and Damian, perplexed by him, as he had not yet taken what he needed, but he could not take it any longer.
He closed his nose, blocking the air, to force him to release his fangs from Selene's anchorage in order to sip the air, and when he did, he pulled her arm away from him before returning to him to resume feeding.
Shaking her, trying to bring her back to reality, noticing her stupor and loss, he needs to warn her of what is to come, as what awaits her will never be easy, and she must be fully prepared for it, especially in the case of Kayden, which will push him to deal with her with a searching animal instinct, shaking her again, violently this time, once he calls her attention.
“Go to him; he is not in his nature. Be prepared to see the worst in him, but never forget that what he will do is because of his love for you and the urgent need to prove his ownership....”
She let Mark speak, giving her full attention to Kayden, who sees him holding the reins of one of his guards about to take his soul.
He smells her scent, searches for her with errant looks, and sees her shadows dancing in front of him.
He pulled her to him, holding her tiny body in his huge arms, burying his nose in her hair, inhaling her scent deeply.
He knelt with her on the ground, snatching her lips with a thirsty kiss for her long-awaited affection, rushing after his urgent need to tattoo his soul within the walls of her heart.
He held her to his chest, stifling her breath, drifting behind his primal need to prove his ownership of it and restore his might that shook before his guard.
He released her lips, burying his face in the hollow of her neck, inhaling deeply, her pleas piercing his ears like a sweet symphony.
"Forgive me, please, forgive me, forgive me."
She kept repeating on hearing him; a violent pain invaded her chest because of the suffering that Damian caused him to come and complete him once and for all.
He stood with her off the ground out of that sinister room, and she embraced him possessively, laying her head on his chest, realizing that the time for the long-awaited arrival had come, her body trembling in anticipation of what was to come.
Celine woke up from a deep sleep, fidgeting.
convulsive limbs,
She opened her confused eyes, watching her surroundings questioningly, recalling the events of the last night, that she was in one of the patients' rooms, as Kayden could not control himself to get her to their ward, so he entered the first room that came across his path.
Putting him gently on the bed, astonished by the state in which he was in, he climbed up and meditated on her with two glowing eyeballs, addressing her in a voice that was closer to snarling than his own:
“You are mine, mine alone; you are my wife, my sun, my day, my warmth, my being....”
She interrupted him, embracing his cheeks with her warm palms, corresponding to him with love and a sincere desire, shouting, "I am yours...."
She interrupted her this time by taking what she had given her before she finished her sentence.
She tried to sit still, but her movement was blocked by a spasm of all the muscles in her body. She remembers Mark's warning to her. He was right. What she saw from Kayden last night was not the Kayden she had known during the past period.
Yesterday, Kaiden was agitated, mad at his instincts, and unfettered, but in spite of all this, he made sure not to harm her in any way.
