Epilogue
Many months have passed and only happy moments after. Zoe stood on the podium as she gave her speech as the best graduating student. She looked so beautiful and other parents couldn't help but smile at her eloquence. Darasimi shed tears of joy just looking at her daughter there. Gabriel smiled next to her.
Zoe watched her father and mother with happiness all over them looking so proud of her. Yes father. After new year, Gabriel had adopted Zoe as his daughter. Her joy knew no bounds as she got to be part of a family once again. Zion had been a sweet brother to her, and they had all been living happily.
Zoe got down from the podium with applause leading her back to her seat where Matthew, Julia and Zion where all seated. Julia had passed all her exams with distinctions shocking everyone else but her friends who knew the amount of work she had put in it. She had plans to go study Art outside the country.
Matthew was already admitted into university of Ibadan to study law, he was missing Julia already and didn't know if he could handle a long distance relationship.
The siblings Zoe and Zion were set to proceed with their studies abroad. Zoe was going to be trained as a lawyer while Zion couldn't wait to start learning to be a great chef.
Zoe smiled as she thought about how everything had played out. Her eyes feel at Priscilla and her mom who had come to celebrate with them. Priscilla had been admitted on scholarship to study medicine and surgery at a prestigious university in the UK. Gabriel had set up a booming business for her mother also here in Nigeria.
Gbenga and Ann where seated just beside them and Zoe burst into laughter seeing how they looked so in love. They were already engaged to get married, and Zoe couldn't wait to become rich auntie Zoe. Mrs. Komolafe was grinning from ear to ear at the success of her students. Her hard work and scolding had really paid off.
Everything had just falling in place for Zoe and everyone else. Well, except the Owolabi's who landed in jail after being caught fit committing fraud.
In the end, love and forgiveness reigned. Zoe couldn't have thought she would be that happy today. But she was.
The love she thought she never deserved was what she lived by.
The dark and gloomy life that seemed to be permanent where now a thing of the past. Happier seasons to be expected. At the end, the DARK SKIES, were all cleared.
