With the aide of some of the other gangs that reside in New York, who mainly keep their distance from Santangelo business and we leave them alone in return - we have finally gotten the Petrov situation under control.
He has withdrawn from stealing from me and decided it would seem, that a turf war and coming up against the King of New York City is a stupid thing to do. Why spill more blood?

“No, your brother is an asshole. I want him removed off the project immediately. We have a labor strike he didn’t bother to inform me about. Nico, he undermines me. I cannot work with him any longer.”
Shit, this is all I need right now. My loyalty is first and foremost to my wife, my Queen. Yet, Dario is my brother and I have to offer him loyalty too.
“Can you try for a little while longer whilst I find him another project of his own to head?” It’s the only solution without upsetting my beautiful, strong-willed wife or making Dario feel as if he has been shunted out. That will only cause more strain between the two of him. An HR department I am not, yet it feels more and more like it on a regular basis.
“Fine. When are you coming home?”
“In a week, sweetheart. I have some business to attend to in the Bahamas first.”
She goes silent. I can sense she is not happy. I had planned to go back sooner but I must deal with Petrov. All my loose ends need to be tied up.
“I could join you in the Bahamas,” she says in a flirty voice and gives me a wink.
It’s not possible, she knows it and so do I. Her project is at the crucial stages and there is too much work for her to do there right now. She has a full month of meetings scheduled. I know this because Alex has ensured that Lucky’s schedule is shared with me.
“I don’t think your stakeholders will be too happy if you are caught having extra marital affairs in the Bahamas, Lucky.”
“Maybe not,” she replies with a shrug.
“I have some news for you but I want to tell you to your face.”
“Tell me now, I don’t want to wait another week.”

She nods and tears well in her beautiful eyes. “I am. We are pregnant, Nico. We’re going to have a baby. Alex bought me nearly ever test she could and I’ve scheduled an appointment with our private doctor.”
“Baby, you are amazing. You are the most incredible woman I’ve ever known. Fuck, I wish I was there with you right now.” I consider shelving Petrov. Fuck it, I will. Being home with Lucky to celebrate our news is the most important thing in the world right now.
