In fact, it seemed like they both hated each other. The way Dante shut her down and dismissed her, the betrayed look in her eyes—he sensed that something was terribly amiss here, but it was not in his place to ask questions or intervene, so he avoided Dante's gaze and looked back to the documents he had brought with him.

"I don't care what action Petrova is taking now," Dante said, returning to the matter at hand. "But I am going to take revenge on him for what he did to my hotel. What are his biggest establishments?"

Vincent wanted to oppose. Trying to focus on gaining legal ground and launching an attack at the same time didn't exactly go well. Not only would both purposes not be achieved because of the divided attention, Caius could also use whatever attack as more leverage against him.

But Dante wasn't ready to listen, and he didn't want any trouble with his boss. The man could easily pull out a gun and blow his head off and employ a new legal advisor the next day.

So instead, he scanned through a document until he found the list of Caius's businesses and showed them to Dante.

While Caius did have an impressive amount of possessions, ranging from seaports to restaurants, they were not as many as Dante's own. His eyes zeroed in on the Onlookers Casino, and he smiled.

That was the casino that Sasha had spotted Caius in. Who knows, he could actually find him there himself.

"You can handle the legal matters, but keep me updated on it," he began, scrolling through his phone till he found Lucas's number.

"Sir, I think we should focus on one—" Vincent tried again, but Dante shot him a murderous glare.

"Last I checked, you are not the one in charge. I make the decisions here."

The goal was to keep Caius distracted with an illusion of Dante trying to recover. He had people working at the site, rebuilding the Castlemine hotel, knowing that Caius was watching.

For the past two days, there was total silence. Either Caius was actually fooled, or he was waiting for a counter-attack from Dante. Hopefully, it was the former.

Dante kept the details about his planned attack a secret confined to his inner circle. Just in case there was a mole somewhere, he didn't want anything to ruin this plan.

He had one more trick up his sleeve though—letting whispers about cutting off Caius's shipment as his revenge plan. If there was a mole, that was the information they would take to Caius, and he would be so invested in protecting his ports that he would not see the attack coming.

"We've got all our ammunition ready," Lucas said to him. "I can say we're prepared."

"And training?" Dante demanded. "How prepared are they in that aspect?"

He had Marcel training his men extra hard under the illusion of being more prepared for an attack so they could not be taken by surprise another time. In reality though, it was all for this attack.

"It's moving pretty quick," Lucas informed him. "We had a few new recruits that Marcel interviewed. Only three passed the interview."

"Three out of?" Dante asked.

"Out of fifteen," Lucas replied.

"And where are most of the twelve?"

"In the hospital," Lucas concluded, meeting Dante's smile with one of his own. Their recruiting process was not an easy one, and usually most men who braved through the first few stages ended up too injured to continue. The three that did pass were in for a lot more challenges.

"That sounds just about right," Dante said, pleased. It was nice that they had new members coming in. And of course, their recruiting process only chose the best out of the rest.

Dante's phone rang, and he frowned seeing that it was Marcel calling. He was supposed to be busy with the training process, so if he took a break to make a call, that means something was likely wrong.

"What is it?" he demanded when he picked up the call.

"It's one of our aspiring members, sir," Marcel informed him. "He says that he has information about Caius Petrova."

Dante raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. Anyone could wake up and say they had information about Caius since their rivalry was not necessarily private anymore.

"And is he lying?"

"I doubt it," Marcel said. "He sounds pretty sincere."

"You need to give me something more tangible to work with."

"Well, he did bring something as proof, but I can't tell you over the phone. It's something you have to come and see for yourself."

Dante nodded slowly. Now that sounded pretty interesting.
